Ocean Place 70 Summer Salt

This condo is located in Ocean Place at Summer Beach on Amelia Island, located next door to the Ritz. This condo is on the Seventh floor of Building Two on the South Side. This is an amazing Penthouse unit with lovely decor and amazing views and large balcony. This unit has a King, Queen and Two Twin Beds. There are flat screen TV's in each room with AT&T U-verse. Every bedroom has it's own bathroom. The Kitchen is fully stocked if you want to cook a fabulous meal or feel free to venture out to one of our many amazing local restaurants. The balcony has great views and outdoor seating so that you can enjoy the beach at any time of day or night. Great for coffee in the morning or a nice romantic dinner over looking the Ocean. Whether you are here for fun, relaxing, romantic or work this unit is perfect for you.

Parking for up to two vehicles. (Except for Holidays and Special Events - one parking spot)

Great location but needs attention.
Great loc on the ocean with large balcony on 7th floor. We stayed for a week and found the unit was not quite as advertised. It needs a bit of work and lacked some items we expected to be there like beach chairs and more kitchen items to make cooking in the unit easier. Overall, it was ok but I have rented other units at Ocean Place and found this one a bit lacking.

Beach stay
My daughter and family enjoyed this unit. The decor and furniture are very nice and the location was perfect down the hall from us. Some of the appliances were challenging-the dishwasher and the dryer. The middle bathroom had a shower door issue that needs some work. We look forward to next year there as well.

Unacceptable Conditions
While the decor and view in this condo are nice, I found it quite disappointing. Our initial impression was that it smells very musty. The carpet and area rugs are dirty and need to be replaced. There are many cracks in the floor tile. The appliances in the kitchen are outdated except for the refrigerator, but the ice dispenser in the door does not work, as mentioned in other reviews. The Keurig coffee maker did not work. The mattress in the master bedroom is very hard and uncomfortable. Most concerning was the evidence of extensive water damage in the queen bedroom bath. There is rust along the base of the tub where it meets the floor tile. The wall paper is peeled away from the wall beside the tub and toilet and the side of the vanity is blistered and peeling from water damage. These conditions are not acceptable in a unit at this price point. All of these conditions have been mentioned in previous reviews of this unit since 2017. Maintenance items and repairs need to be addressed.

Unit 70
Overall a great condo, gorgeously decorated, felt like a vacation. Some items to note, One of the chairs on the porch was broken, the back piece to the ice maker swings open every time you open the refrigerator, think a piece is missing. Also, not enough pillow cases in the master, dish towels/drying rack in the kitchen, and the lights over the sink are out. Further, in the queen bedroom, my daughter found ants and boogers on the throw pillows .
