Location, location, location! Park your vehicle and walk to everything South Haven has to offer. Only a couple of blocks to the beach/pier, a block to the riverfront marina, and a few blocks from downtown stores, restaurants/bars, bakery, breweries and wine tasting. Charming, older home with cozy covered front porch and private fenced-in backyard with large deck, great for family vacations or a group of friends. Fully-stocked kitchen includes microwave, dishwasher, crock pots, cookware, regular and Keurig coffee makers. Large dining room + eat-in kitchen great for cooking for a big group. Covered, shady front patio is great for sitting and sipping a cup of coffee or a glass of wine, reading a book, catching up with friends snd family. Sunny, fenced-in, private backyard great for grilling-and-chilling with additional seating, fire pit, and Edison lights for evening ambiance. This house has 4 bedrooms and 2 baths as follows: Bedroom 1- Main Level- Queen bed; Bedroom 2- Upstairs/Master- Queen bed + twin bunk beds in alcove; Bedroom 3- Upstairs- 2 twin beds; Bedroom 4- Upstairs- 4 twin beds. Full bath on main level with enclosed tub/shower. Full bath on second level with enclosed shower and separate jetted tub. Please note we very much appreciate and welcome repeat renters- however- all reservations are on a first-come basis. Note: cleaning staff is following all procedures laid out by the CDC for COVID, including sanitizing high contact surfaces such as door knobs, handles, and tv remotes

Relaxing Memorial Day!

The house was everything we expected! Nice quiet neighborhood, accessible to beaches, shopping and dining. It was a great weekend hanging out with family, playing games and just overall relaxing!

Michigan Ave House

This is our second stay at the Michigan Ave house! We love this location. It’s easy to walk to the beach, boardwalk, and town. The home has tons of space inside and out, perfect for our family which includes our adult children and grandchildren. Gail is attentive, informative and easy to communicate with. We will definitely stay again!

Another great week in SoHa

This property is located so close to South Beach and is an easy walk to Kids Corner park & beach. Downtown is also close so an easy trip to the farmers market or any of the shops is so easy! Gail was very informative on things to do in town and helpful with recommendations. We appreciated her responsiveness when we contacted her at any time during our stay. The house is located across from the VFW, so during the weekend it was a bit noisy with motorcycles coming in and out. There was plenty of room for the 9 of us to sleep and enjoy the various spaces available. The front porch was amazing and the backyard fun for the kids to play. For the price point, it’s an amazing location.

Great stay in a FANTASTIC location

We had a girls weekend away and this was the perfect location. It was a balmy fall weekend in South Haven and this house had easy access to the beach, harbor, and town. The house is a touch dated but felt clean and comfortable. It truly had everything we needed. The kitchen was adequately equipped for our purposes and we ate "in" most nights so we put it to the test. The common areas had plenty of seating for the eight of us (which is not always the case in South Haven). Some of the beds weren't the best but I know the owner has made some effort to upgrade this since our visit and was very interested in our detailed feedback. Communication was great throughout. We highly enjoyed our stay.

Loved the Front Porch

This house had the front porch of my dreams. It was wonderful spending time with family on it. The rest of the house had everything we needed for our stay. Something that doesn't come through in the photos is the family room area. It is larger than the photos (or feels that way) and there was big sectional sofa which was perfect for the whole family to binge Netflix together on a rainy day.

Great location, plenty of space

We've visited South Haven each year for 20+ years. Because our group size changes year to year, we have rented a variety of locations. This one is prime(!!) -- it is very near both the beach and downtown shopping and dining - both walkable. It's also a super short walk to the pier for prime sunset viewing. If your group requires space to spread out and enjoys cooking and dining in, this is the place for you. The main floor bed and bath are a plus for elderly family members. No - it doesn't offer latest in remodels and upgrades. YES!! It has a wonderful front porch, private backyard with large deck and nice furniture, plenty of space to spread out, fully stocked kitchen with everything needed for a large group's meals, a spare refrigerator for drinks, and lots of parking space. Friendly and very responsive owner. Superb price point, too, given the location and amenities.

Perfect South Haven getaway

This house is in a prime location for downtown South Haven. It is a block away from the river and the Lake as well as all the downtown shops and restaurants. We had a great stay! The house had everything we needed. The front porch is a great spot to drink your morning coffee and prepare for the day! Will definitely come back for future South Haven trips! Overall enjoyed our stay.

Great location

The location can't be beat for the price. Close to South Beach and close to the harbor and downtown. Great front porch. The house does lack some of the updates we've come to expect when renting in South Haven and spending this kind of money - from the beds, furniture, bathrooms, grill, kitchen, and other amenities. We're hoping that the owners make some serious improvements as we'd love to come back.

Great Location

This is a great location that is close to the beach and downtown area while still being away from the busy areas when you are at the house. Gail was great to work with and made it very easy. They added a second queen bed which makes the sleeping accommodations much better for multiple adults with families. I would recommend upgrading the mattresses on the adult beds. That would be the one thing that would make it difficult to go back for multiple nights in our situation. Great set up though if we were still traveling with another couple and multiple kids.

Nearby Ski Trip and New Years Stay

This house in South Haven, MI was perfect for a short getaway for myself and a few friends! The property was just as described and accommodated all of our needs. Additionally, it is in a great location where you are just a short walk from the beach, the river and downtown. Gail was also a great host and made the check-in process, as well as all communication seamless. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a quality house and host!

Cozy Stay in South Haven

We rented this beautiful home in South Haven for a Girls Getaway Weekend. We couldn't have been happier! The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was very well stocked with all sorts of dishes, pans and gadgets. There was plenty of room for us in the house. We especially enjoyed the large front porch and the short walk to the beach. It was perfect for an end of the summer weekend trip. The host was very accomodating and gave us great recommendations for local restaurants and shops. We'll definitely be back!

Wonderful

This is the third year that we have stayed at this property. Upon arriving, we found a welcome note and Rice Krispie treats. Such a personal touch from the owner who knew that there would be children staying in the house. The property could not be more convenient to the beach and to town. One of my most favorite features of this house is the front porch where I spent hours reading and just relaxing. Money cannot buy the most amazing sunsets. We only had to walk a few minutes to a great viewing spot by St. Basil’s church. We are sad to leave but we will be back at this place next year.

We purchased this home because of the location, and the ability to house multiple family members across generations. We like to cook big family meals, take walks on the beach, sit on the front porch with a glass of wine or cup of coffee, and enjoy all the great things South Haven has to offer.

The home is great for cooking and comfortably sleeping a large crowd, and it is situated in an ideal location! South Haven has something for people of all ages, from toddlers to teens to empty nesters... playgrounds, gorgeous white sandy beach, boat-watching, shopping and dining... and it is all just steps away. You can park your car for the week and walk to everything!

What makes this property unique

Location- Location- Location! You can park your car and leave it for the week. You can walk everywhere- beach/town/shopping. The living and dining rooms are large and great for a crowd. Also you can escape the sun and relax on the covered front porch with a good book or glass of wine ...and soak-in the charming neighborhood. For those who prefer, you can also catch some rays in the sunny, private backyard.
