About this property
Sunbreak: Secluded home, gorgeous waterfront, kayaks, pool table, fast wifi!
This charming lake front home on the public side of Lake Anna is the perfect spot to relax or launch adventures on the water. (Or, tuck yourself away to work.) Enjoy a spacious quiet lot nestled amongst old shade trees and a large sunny lawn. Catch the sunrise over Frasier Island peaking through the trees. The expansive waterfront shoreline is just waiting for fun and memories to happen. This home provides a dock and large sun deck and swim platform to wade your feet into the water. There is a large canoe and multiple kayaks and life jackets of all sizes It is handy to Dukes Creek Marina for boat rental and service, to head to bars and restaurants on the lake. The dock is surrounded by quiet deep water, perfect for that guest who likes to throw a fishing line.
The interior of the home boasts 4 well appointed bedrooms and 2 full baths. The Master Bedroom has a king sized bed with a spectacular view of the Lake, and a private full bath. The guest room has a queen sized bed. The 2nd guestroom/office has a full sized bed and secluded desk to get away. The kids room has two sets of twin bunk beds and a Pack & Play for youngsters.
4 bedrooms give a lot of flexibility for guests. But, the house is fully maxed out at 6 adults and 4 kids. The septic system, dining room, etc., get overloaded and neighbors get annoyed. So, please do not go beyond 10, and try to conserve water when nearing limit. Thank you.
The whole house is on filtered water, so no need to bring bottles.
The comfy living room also has a direct water view of the lake and opens to a kitchen and dining area that are well stocked for entertaining. Come out and play.
The playroom . . . ah the playroom . . . has an Olhausen pool table, a carved-wood bar, comfy sleeper sofa, DVD player, and a Smart TV, awesome sound system, with amplified HD antenna picking up networks, and connected to various apps to stream your favorite shows/music from Amazon, Hulu, Pandora, etc.
About Lake Anna: Lake Anna is the second largest lake located entirely in Virginia. It encompasses 250 miles of shoreline and 13,000 acres of water. The lake is 17 miles long and surrounded by farms and forest.
Lake Anna has 2 sections, the main or public lake and the private side. The public section consists of 9,600 acres and where you will find marinas, restaurants and commercial business. The private side is divided by 3 rock dikes and consists of 3,400 acres and there is no public access unless you own property on that section. That means there are no public boat ramps or marinas, only homes adorn the shoreline.
Attractions: There is boating, jet-skiing, fishing and water activities on Lake Anna, but there are many other activities to enjoy while visiting this area and they include: Lake Anna State Park, Wineries (Lake Anna Winery & Cooper Winery), Kings Dominion Theme Park, Fredericksburg & Spotsylvania National Military Park, Bluemont Concert, Monticello (Thomas Jefferson's Home), Montpelier (James & Dolly Madison's Home), battlefields, places to shop. We are nearby Fredericksburg, Culpeper and Charlottesville.

About the host
Hosted by Ravi Sawhney
We live and work in DC and love our friends and enjoy the urban lifestyle . . . but sometimes we (especially our young son and daughter) just have to get out and dig in the dirt, splash around, and see sky full of stars. We looked around and found that Lake Anna is a perfect place to do it! We bought the house on Valentine's Day 2015, and have been upgrading the home and landscaping ever since. Our waterfront is now hard to beat!
Tragically, we are not able to get down to the Lake every weekend, so are happy to share through VRBO. We hope you'll enjoy your Sunbreak, and help us keep it in good shape for family and guests for years to come.
Yours,
Ravi and Laura

What makes this property unique
We love our easy/fun getaway-- and want to make it easy/fun for you too. Compare our amenities. Fresh linens and bath towels are included in cleaning fee. Trash hauling is included. Whole house is on a water filter/neutralizer, so no need for bottled water or Brita, and showers feel great. Plenty of water toys and life preservers. Please just come out and play, and treat our stuff as if it were your own! (assuming you take good care of your own stuff)
