Great time away

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house has an amazing view!! The property was clean and very nice. We really enjoyed our relaxing stay. Yes there were bugs as others had commented but you are at the top of a mountain in the woods. ( I can stand lady bugs- they were actually fun to watch. My kids stayed entertained with the fusball. We will definitely be coming back here again. Only recommendation is that you get a few more deck chairs. But we enjoyed playing games on the picnic tables outside.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience! We're thrilled you enjoyed the beautiful mountain views and found the home clean, comfortable, and relaxing. We're glad the kids had fun with the foosball table and that the ladybugs provided a little entertainment along the way! As you mentioned, mountain homes surrounded by nature can occasionally welcome a few seasonal visitors. We also appreciate your suggestion about adding more deck chairs and will certainly keep that in mind. Thank you for choosing Carolina Mountain Vacation Rentals. We look forward to welcoming your family back for another wonderful mountain getaway!

Great Remote Location

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location is very remote. No restaurants, gas stations, or grocery stores for miles. So bring it with you when you come ! Neither TV in each bedroom was connected to the satellite dish. Only TV we could watch was in the living room. Both beds were very firm but comfortable. Bring coffee and creamer !
Response from VrboOwner on 15 Oct 2026
Thank you for sharing your feedback about Above It All! The home’s remote mountain setting offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle, but we understand that it’s important for guests to plan ahead for groceries and other necessities. We appreciate you sharing these helpful tips with future guests. We’re sorry to hear that the bedroom TVs were not connected to the satellite service, and we will look into this issue. We’re glad to hear that you found the beds comfortable despite their firmness. Thank you for choosing Carolina Mountain Vacation Rentals. We appreciate your feedback and hope you enjoyed the peace and quiet of the mountains during your stay

I was in the cabin with my adult daughter, and we gave this property 4 stars. Cabin true to pictures, nice rustic mountain cabin Great views, remote location Professionally managed, nice welcome cards, etc New grill tools, new toaster Log fire in living room prepared Fair price for what you gotTo make it 5-stars, some of the following would need to be addressed- Gas grill with view vs charcoal at back of house by road- Coffee K-cups or similar- Aspects overly rustic, such as only plastic bowls for fruit, salad etc. - No 14-page contract (I am on vacation... :) )

Wonderful cabin stay with a beautiful view

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Fantastic cabin, that was clean with all the basic necessities, spacious for two people, and a beautiful viewThe cabin was exactly as pictured, it is not modern and you see an occasional bug, but that is to be expected in a cabin that is in a quiet out of the way location I would definitely stay again.

Super clean and very comfortable! Gorgeous views. My only note to future guests would be to bring your own salt/pepper/spices/coffee or anything you might want to just bring from home for cooking. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils, but nothing to season food, which is fine! The closest grocery store is in Lansing, and I'd recommend CJ's market over Food Lion, honestly. Their prices are incredible and it's a beautiful location. All in all, the cabin was amazing for the price, and I had a very nice time reading on their porch for hours. Would love to come back!

Could have used a bit more options to cook with and I would have liked a little vacuum to get the bugs that inevitably accumulate. But the view was fantastic and as described. Couldn’t get the TVs to work, but wasn’t too disappointed. Just don’t expect to cozy up for a movie night. Loved the working fireplace.

Beautiful view. Clean, mountain cabin, nice porch. The only negative issues I could mention is the upstairs shower is extra tiny. Tough to get a shower in there, I'm 180 lbs. The porch could use some comfortable chairs to enjoy the scenery. All in all, very nice cabin and vacation
