This was a nice place to stay with a local touch. Very interesting to experience the different way of living. Steep steps and can be a challenge to get large suitcases up to the bedrooms but very doable.

Big space for Tokyo at a reasonable price!

4 bedrooms over 3 floors is apparently pretty sizeable for Tokyo. Only one toilet and one bathroom with tub/shower so we had to share but that's how it is in here. The shower heating unit was all in japanese but google translate and poking at it a bit was enough to yield limitless hot water. We did use the washer/dryer combo, it washed fine but didn't dry anything. Likely my mistake in not knowing which button (all in japanese) to push, but we used hanger/clips and rails in main room to dry everything to our satisfaction. Location is excellent with 7-10 minute walk to several different train/metro stations. Some convenience stores/restaraunts nearby, including some really nice ones near Ueno station. Overall excellent value and experience
