About this property
Beachfront Family Retreat On Winnipesaukee - Amazing Long Views
This large air conditioned home is the perfect retreat to relax and enjoy the most incredible long lake and mountain views on Lake Winnipesaukee. The private fine sand beach flows into a gradually sloping sand lake bottom which is perfect for families with children and water sports as well as for the mature generation. A 50 ft dock with boat slip and 2 moorings allow for easy access to your boats and watercraft. A canoe, 3 kayaks, a paddle board and row boat available for guest use. Great fishing spots are nearby. There is plenty of outdoor seating to take in meals or enjoy the views from the large lake-facing deck with dining area, the side entry porch and the expansive lawn that joins the wide beach. A guest favorite is sitting by the lake-side fire pit taking in amazing sunsets across 12 miles to open water to the mountains.
The house has traditional lakehouse charm with modern accommodations including all new appliances as well as kitchen and bathroom fixtures. Four separate living rooms provide private spaces. Indoor dining areas include a large kitchen island with 4 stools, a main formal dining room and a turret dining room overlooking the lake.
There are 6 bedrooms offering plenty of room for everyone. The second floor has 4 bedrooms and a formal living room in the turret with expansive views. On the third floor, enjoy another guests favorite; a treehouse experience in the turret bedroom with incredible lake views, a living room with a 2 twin day beds and a sixth bedroom alcove with a full bed.
Location
The property is also located equidistance from Wolfeboro and the Weirs and Meredith for easy access to restaurants and other activities. Gunstock Ski Area is only 5 minutes away where you can experience the longest zip line in the US, mountain biking, all-terrain Segways and horseback riding. Also just minutes away, Mt. Major is very popular for year-round hikes offering spectacular views of the lake and beyond to the Ossipee and White Mountains.
Wintertime
Wintertime transforms your experience into a wonderland of options. Gunstock Ski Area offers 55 downhill trails & glades, a terrain park with a half pipe, 50K of cross-country trails, tubing, night skiing and a horse drawn sleigh ride. The simple option of enjoying the house offers ice skating, cross-country skiing, hikes and snowmobiling across the frozen lake to nearby islands. Ice fishing is tremendous right in front of the house allowing for tending from a warm fire in the living room.
Guest interaction
Our home is not a rental property investment but our vacation home. Over the past 6 years, we have experienced great enjoyment, in hearing and reading of the tremendous memories that our family home has blessed on our guests. We are extremely understanding that our guest’s vacation is a precious family time and we strive to make our guest’s stay as enjoyable as possible. We provide you with mobile numbers of 3 family members that are available 24hrs a day to answer any questions or to correct any issues that may arise.
Neighborhood overview
Longview is centrally located on Lake Winnipesaukee providing and equally short drive to the main lake towns of Wolfeboro and Meredith. Gunstock Ski Area, offering year round adventure, is only about 5 minutes away. Grocery stores and retailers are about 10-15 minutes away in Gilford & Laconia.
Other things to note
Our property offers our guests almost all that they could possibly want in a Lakehouse and some never leave throughout their entire stay. That said, we are an extremely adventurous family and through our experiences, I have assembled a list of nearby retailers, adventures and restaurants but also experiences that will come to you from Classic Boat rides, Waterski/wakeboard instructors and fishing guides that I will provide prior to your stay.
Special Events and Weddings:
We have had many requests for utilizing the property for special events, especially weddings. With prior approval, we have allowed a few small gathering of less that 20 total people for an additional fee of $2,000.
There is high speed WIFI if you happen to find the time or remember that you brought your phone or computer.
(Please be aware of the varying seasonal rates from $600 per night in April to $3000 per night during the high summer season so be sure to enter your exact dates)

About the host
Hosted by Keith Cunningham

I grew up in Manchester, NH while spending summers and many weekends throughout the remainder of the year at our Longview Camp on Lake Winnipesaukee. Born into an adventurous family, our house proved to be the perfect base. As a 25 yr resident of NYC with kids moving into their teens that are extremely active with sports and friends, a new chapter of our house has commenced - sharing it with others. I'm told that the property can also be an incredible spot to just relax, take a walk onto the fine sandy beach into the crystal clear water, get lost in the incredible views, watch the clouds drift by, listen to the Loons or if your lucky, witness a lightening storm passing over the north side of the lake 5-10 miles away while your sitting by the beach side fire pit.
