Beautiful Updated/Decorated Quaint Cottage in the Heart of Fredericksburg

This home is gorgeous! Located next to Fredericksburg Herb Farm only 5 blocks from Main Street, this home has everything you could imagine for a hill country getaway. The owners are experienced Homeaway/VRBO hosts with several popular rentals. They know how to do it right! The home was completely gutted and rebuilt in early 2018. It has high end appliances, electronics and is fully stocked with anything you could need for your stay. We just underwent a massive landscaping project and now have a Grill/Fire pit, covered trellis outdoor dining area, a regulation Boccie Ball Court and horseshoes in an expansive half acre back yard backing up to a creek. The enormous yard is fully fenced in if you earn your pets to be part of the fun too. You can not go wrong with this rental! Both bedrooms are well appointed with queen beds. The home has cable, wifi and flat screen TV's in each room. The bathroom has an antique vanity and beautiful new shower. It is walking distance to one of the town's best restaurants, Fredericksburg Herb Farm (.3 miles) and is only 5 blocks from Main street in close proximity to Hondo's and Crossroads.

Overall great, just one recommendation

Overall this house and location were great! However, an outdoor fire pit was one of the big attractions for us, but much our surprise there was no firewood. When I asked the property manager about where to find the wood he said there probably wasn’t any because they hadn’t been there in a while and we should have brought our own! If wood is not going to be provided, they should let the guests know in advance so they can plan accordingly. I was told there was an HEB close by if we wanted to go get some. Again, not a huge deal, but I feel like it needs to be communicated best there may or may not be wood.Overall, I would stay there again and BYOW!

Christmas Getaway!

My wife and I (along with our dog Pepper) had a great visit. The house is clean and well kept, the yard is fenced so a dog can run and play, and it's located perfectly in Fredericksburg. We recommend staying here!

We will definately be back. Nice feature is the fenced in yard . And OMG the deer. They are so tame they don’t even runaway when they see you. Host is super nice and responsive. Has everything you will need and more.

Everything was great. Did notice the vent fan in the bath seems to be going out. And water pressure at kitchen sink was a little low. No big thing to us just sharing what could become an issue in the future. Overall great stay and we will be back again

Completely renovated home

We enjoyed our stay and the owner was wonderful! I gave 4 stars as we were very disappointed that after we found the porch light switch as well as the GFI plug the patio lights did not work. So our plans to sit out on the patio with a glass of wine after dinner didn’t happen.

Beautiful home just minutes from downtown

Absolutely perfect place for small groups or families. The home has been beautifully decorated & includes anything & everything you could ever need. We visited at the end of May so it was a bit hot to use the giant well manicured backyard as much as we’d liked but gives us an excuse to visit again later this year! Rent with confidence from this host, you will not be disappointed.

We have had short term rental homes throughout Florida and Texas for some time and pride ourselves on providing our guests with luxurious furnishings and abundant amenities. Why they chose this property

We fell in love with Fredericksburg when we moved to Austin 6 years ago. This little town really has it all. It has small old world charm with incredible restaurants and an abundance of social activities. The wine scene has really blown up in the area over the last few years and we now have some of the countries best wineries right here in our own backyard. It's truly an exceptional place to visit. We looked at properties for years and couldn't find exactly what we were looking for. When this one came on the market in the early summer 2018 we put an offer in the day we saw it. It truly is unique.

What makes this property unique

The Boccie Ball court, Fire Pit and Horseshoe Pit provides our guests with fun activities to enjoy without ever having to leave the house. When they do decide to leave, they'll find themselves within minutes of some of the best shopping and restaurants in the Texas Hill Country.
