About this property
River/Mountain Getaway-Private, Large,In-Law Suite
Built in 2016, after our original home was destroyed in the Jamestown flood 2013, this basement apartment was created to provide housing for aging parents, friends and guests. Our family lives upstairs and share all the outdoor amenities. Newly constructed, 800 sq ft open floor plan apt on James Creek. However, the acre lot landscaping is still being completed. In winter, enjoy the radiant heat floors throughout apt. Minimalist decor, outdoor active space. Go fishing on the creek. Use the pool table/ping pong table, trampoline, and firepit (no bonfires)-dependent on whether or not there's a fire ban! Pets allowed- fee $20/day per pet. Please note there is no fence on property. However we are 300’ from a large town park and 1/4 mile from USFS land where dogs can roam free, FYI this is a dog loving community some neighbor's dogs roam free.

Julie and Matt were fantastic host. The property was beautiful and they were very accommodating to us and out dogs. We can't wait to go back and visit again!
Perfect cozy spot for us too stay over the Thanksgiving holiday as our son’s house was full. A quick 5 minute walk between houses and we didn’t miss a thing!
We felt very much at home and welcomed. Neighbors were friendly as was the surroundin community. Juliie and family were around but not seen. Certainly not intrusive in any way. Would certainly stay there again.
I loved the stay at Julie’s Jamestown hideaway. It was so nice to get away from it all and unwind. Julie and her husband gave amazing recommendations. My dtr and I had a great night at The Merc I will visit Jamestown again.
The owners are so lovely. The place was perfect. There is such comfort and tranquility of the place itself but then add the creek, the peace and quiet on the walks and the quaintness of the town, its the perfect getaway.
Very relaxing and tranquility near the creek. Very clean and up to date. Welcoming to our grandchild and open to letting them explore. What an amazing place.
We stayed for one night and really appreciated the peacefulness of the property. The hosts were friendly and very helpful. The location is amazing and we really loved drinking some coffee by the creek in the morning. There were lots of games, DVDs and other stuff to pass time together if we had been there longer. Highly recommend!
It is always pleasure to stay with Julie & Matt. Jamestown is wonderful community environment with great outdoors activities. The apartment is spacious and new. Great for anyone. I highly recommend staying here.
The setting is beautiful along a winding creek. No air conditioning needed. If you love peace and quiet, time away from traffic and city life, this is the place to go. Small towns are nearby but not close enough to disturb the peace.
Sound of running water from nearby stream was relaxing and could be heard through out. Accommodations were adequate with exception of master which was excellent. Communication from owner was more than expected. Enjoyed stay!
We had a wonderful time in Jamestown at this Vrbo with amazing hosts. From the heated floors to the trampoline by the creek, we had an amazing time. My son caught a trout in the creek out back. I hope to be back with my husband when it warms up, as he likes the warmth. We were treated like family.
It is a special opportunity to have a place like this in Jamestown. Having lived in the Jamestown area for 9 years in the 90s/00s, it was wonderful to such a comfortable and centrally located place to visit all of our old friends and haunts. The home is new, right on the creek, and has everything you need. Julie and Matt were incredibly gracious. Highly recommended!
Perfect for a quite getaway. The VRBO host was very inviting and friendly. Limited cell service so be prepared and have directions saved to your device. Well worth getting outside of Boulder for a wonderful stay. With a mountain trail practically out the front door and a rambling mountain stream out the back, it was perfect for novice middle-aged hikers like us and for those who would like to hike further up the mountain. Beautiful. Very nice park within walking distance for kids and picnics. VRBO very clean and comfortable. Stocked with kitchenware, grill, games and movies. Planning to revisit this location!
5/5 stars, 10/10 recommend staying here!
I gave 4/5 stars on the accuracy of listing only because from the photos I thought the place was much smaller... once you walk in its huge and inviting! Photos don't do it justice.
We absolutely loved staying here. The area is beautiful. You have a gorgeous park nearby and a short hike to Blue Jay Mine, where you can see purple feldspar. You're right by the river and it is a dog frienly area.
My (now) husband and I stayed here so we could get married at Isabelle Lake. Gorgeous drives to Boulder, Ward, and Etes park.
Everyrhing around is dog friendly.
Julie and Matt were very accommodating, responsive, and even checked on our pup while we were away doing marriage license things.
They welcomed us with beautiful wild flowers and champagne to celebrate us.
We would definitely stay here again.
I rarely write reviews but this place was above and beyond the average. Starting with the setting, on a babbling creek in the middle of the mountains in a small town that brings you back in time a little in a great way! The host was very communicative and quick to respond. The suite had everything you need to prepare meals(several extras as far as spices and whatnot) and the dining table looks out the window to the creek. All electronics had explanations with them(so no hassle figuring out how to work anything!) Video games, dvds, cds, puzzles and more! Also available is a fire pit with seating near the creek. Very clean and welcoming and felt a bit like home away from home. I hope to visit again next year, thank you for sharing your beautiful, relaxing property!!
