Fishing permit's for the river can be puchased from the village shop.
Ryanair flys into Prestwick only 20 minutes away.
This is a great area to visit and the cottage is truly delightful.
On the edge of the Galloway Forest the cottage is very well situated for great walks and has many Golf Courses with in easy reach including Turnberry and Troon.
Glasgow is just over one hour away, an easy day trip to visit Kelvingrove Gallery or for shopping.

Surprisingly bright the cottage has two double bedrooms one with a Superking bed 6'6 the other with a 5ft King size. The cottage has Central heating. There is also a log burning stove in the lounge for colder days, TV and internet. A modern bathroom with bath and seperate shower. A spacious kitchen is well equipped with a ceramic hobb, oven, dish washer, washing machine, clothes drying rack, micowave etc. and has a small sun lounge attached which is used for dining.
Across a narrow and quiet road there is a large private garden belonging to the Cottage which runs down to the River Girvan. Ideal for barbeques.
This is a great walking area with many listed walks. The cottage is also within easy reach of famous Aryshire links such as Turnberry, Troon and Prestwick.

We are happy to have well behaved dogs.

Why they chose this property

A perfect retreat from a busy life.
We bought this lovely cottage mainly because of the beautiful surrounding countryside and great walks, but best of all the large garden area and garden room beside the river. We have spent many happy hours there.
It really is the quintessential country cottage.

What makes this property unique

There is a large private garden which now has a garden room and deck.
Perfect for Barbeques or when the weather is not so hot just sitting in the garden room and enjoying the peace and quiet. Reading or watching the birds. You might see a kingfisher flying up the river.
