Contemporary designer home in the foothills of Santa Fe. Highlights include: Gourmet Kitchen, Hot Tub, Pool, Hiking, Biking and Close to Historic Plaza! We are located in a private neighborhood with beautiful 360 degree views of the Sangre De Cristo & Jemez Mountains. This contemporary Pueblo house is eco-designed, short drive to the Historic Plaza & Famous Santa Fe Opera and has full multi-media capabilities. Enjoy privacy and solitude on this 1 acre of rolling hills and pine trees. The interior is a mix of cozy southwest décor with custom knotty pine cabinetry, natural stonework & contemporary couch. The home has a wood burning fireplace in the great room.

The professional kitchen features stainless steel Viking & Miele appliances with a designer hood.

There are private decks with panoramic views in the upstairs master suite, a pillow top king size bed, a 2 person Jacuzzi bath and large stone shower with multiple jets. The 2nd master suite has a Jacuzzi bathtub, wet bar kitchenette & pillow-top king bed. The 3rd suite has a stone shower, queen bed and private patio with sunset views. The 4th bedroom has triple twin size bunk beds & sofa sleeper bed in the great room.

Beautiful Views! Hot tub was a real bonus

Lovely home with great sunset & sunrise views. Easy drive to the Canyon road, plaza and parks nearby. The beautiful night sky from the outdoor hot tub was the icing on the cake!

Great Views!

This property is very nice. The views are beautiful and the property is very well located. It is not downtown but it is a very short drive to the Plaza, Canyon Road,etc. There were a few mechanical issues but nothing serious. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Very convenient, great sunsets.

This property was pretty much as advertised, nice kitchen, nice bedrooms. Excellent sunsets. The Hot tub worked well. Adequate parking. Like with all large houses, there were a few minor problems. The faucets and fixtures could use some attention. The living room furniture was uncomfortable and seemed to be thrown together. Otherwise a great stay.

Sunset Views are perfect

We all thought the best thing about this house was the sunset view outside. We ate our dinners there to enjoy the view. The house was close to highways and restaurants. We thought the master shower was perfect. The house was a nice property with eclectic furniture. The kitchen was stocked with dishes and cookware. We did has a couple issues that we brought to the owners attention. A repairman was sent out immediately to address our concerns.

There was a repair that was not able to be made over the weekend, however they rolled with it and we worked it out.

Amazing Views!

This home has amazing views from every window which make it worth the rental. It is not quite as immaculate and organized as some other properties we’ve rented on HomeAway. There were no instructions left for us with WI-FI passwords, trash/recycling protocol or checkout times and duties. It is a very cool home with lots of personality and the layout is great bc you can separate the kids in the wing off the kitchen with the bunk room (very small) and the queen room which share a bathroom. The king quotes are on the other side on 2 other floors. It took 45-60 mins to get up the mountain and 15 to get to the Plaza.

Santa Fe Ski Trip

Went to Santa Fe for a ski trip with 3 grandchildren. The house was perfect--three levels including a wing for the kids to stay--they loved it. Views of the mountains from the deck, up and downstairs windows are awesome. Great fireplace--draws so good that it is extremely easy to light. Plenty of firewood. Kitchen had everything we needed. Bedrooms all had own bathrooms. The house is only 12 minutes from the main road to Ski Santa Fe. It is probably 10 minutes from downtown, but is close to major shopping areas for groceries etc. The only negative comment is the house is getting a bit worn in side, but for the price we paid, the views, the overall room, the location, the separate areas for sleeping, the great fireplace, it was a great deal and a great place to stay. If we go skiing again, in Santa Fe, we would stay there again.

Pretty good location; large, spacious house; good advertised amenities but not everything working.

Cool place! We had 9 people and it fit us just right. Nice but small hot tub, nice kitchen and hang-out area. A short drive to town. Unfortunately I think we had some bad luck with a few kitchen items. The freezer was unable to open so we had to only purchase food for the refrigerator (e.g., no ice cream). Secondly, the dishwasher would not run and had a blinking error message. We reported these items immediately and the owner or manager kept saying he'd fix them but he did not communicate well and each day we asked about the status. We expected some small compensation for these non-working items but none given, although he offered to pay for our spoiled food (which didn't make sense since we obviously didn't buy food meant for the freezer which was not working).

We scheduled repairs for DW and freezer and were not able to complete during their stay. There was no request for compensation and a majority of the communication was that their group was happy and they were aware we were doing everything possible to rectify any/all issues. Nice house with many amenities, some issues but still comfortable

Overall, this was a nice, big house to stay in while visiting Santa Fe. The beds were comfortable and the views were great! Be aware, the location that the house projects on the map is nowhere near where the house actually is. It is a 3 mile drive from downtown. Be sure to know the location before booking. There were a few issues that the manager knew about and told us about once we were in the house, including a leak in the middle of the dining room that was somewhat disruptive because it was in the middle of the common area. I'm sure this will be fixed soon but it required buckets and towels to prevent a large puddle from growing. One thing to note, there is a small house on the property that is sometimes occupied by other tenants. While only the hot tub is shared with the other house, it wasn't clear that there may be other people on the grounds. There is also someone living in an AirStream trailer on the hill behind the house, diminishing from the privacy of the home. Just things to be aware of. Beware of the internet when traveling! Even though you might be on a password "secured" network, you can still get hacked. My PayPal account was hacked after I tried logging in while at the house while using wi-fi. Be smarter than me and don't log into financial accounts on questionable wi-fi networks. Overall, this was a nice place to stay, even with the few hiccups.

Hello , Thank you for staying with us and for your valued feedback. The mistery leak has been resloved and fixed. Recently the house was re- roofed, and the crew covered up the A/C condensation hose, which is what we couldn't fugure out immidiately. Sorry for having to deal with that matter. I will defenetly include the distance to the plaza in the discription for better information to concider while vacation house hunting. The unusual Airstrem use was a temporary visit of an out of town friend for less than a week. otherwise it's just parked there. The Hot Tub is only used by the main and guest house, no exceptions. I looked into the wifi concern, and apperantly nothing out of place has taken place as far as we can see. We did change the wifi password just to be safe. I do appriciate you taking the time to let us know about your stay. and you are welcomed back any time. Thank you, Louie

A great place to stay

Casa de Luxx is a great house! Lots of bedroom options, a wonderful open living/dining/kitchen area and even better patio for watching the sunset. Communications with the Jose, the property manager, were answered promptly. We had no problems with the house - it was exactly what we needed!

Spring Break Ski Trip

The house was great with great views and yet still close to the city center and access to the Ski highway. We had 2 families there with no issues. We really loved the outdoor fire pit and couches. We hope to come back next year.

Comfortable, yet quirks

We enjoyed our stay. The views were magnificent and the house's location was perfect. Coffee outdoors in the morning was perfect! Beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room for all of us. The quirks were that some things didn't work: burners on stove, grill hard to light, hottub quit working. Louie was responsive, but this things didn't get fixed. Also...as a board game playing family, we REALLY needed more light over the kitchen table. Would we stay in this house again? Probably yes, we love Santa Fe and we were comfortable and close to downtown.

Santa Fe reunion

We love to stay at a VRBO for family gatherings. When we entered the home, the refrigerator had an alarm going off. It continued to go off during the length of our stay. One of the main bedrooms with a king size bed, was not air conditioned. There were two fans in the room, but the first evening, the temp stayed at 80 degrees. The next morning apparently the water went out and we had no water in the house until 11 am. We could only get one burner on the stove to stay lit. It rained the next night and there were several leaks in the house. The front door would not lock when it rained. The house in all needs maintenance in quite a few areas. The problems we encountered, no water and not being able to lock the door interfered with the plans that we had made for the day. This is the first time that our VRBO rental did not turn out to be as it was represented.

Peaceful Santa Fe getaway with great views

We stayed here as part of an unexpected extended getaway when we had no water at home due to the winter storm in Texas. Louis could not have been more accommodating with our short notice. He gave us a tour of the home upon arrival and made sure we had everything we needed! The home was very cozy and had great views. We enjoyed sitting on the patio and/balcony in the evening enjoying the peacefulness of our surroundings. Very close to town too!

New Year’s Vacation

Great place for our family and friends to spend New Year’s peacefully and comfortably! Quiet location on top of hill allowed for great views and beautiful sunrises. Plenty of amenities to enjoy. Plenty of kitchen utensils and cooking ware allowed for us to eat in every morning, grill outside as well as bake cookies with the kids. Outdoor furniture allowed for us to sit around the fire pit in the evenings to enjoy the nighttime city lights as well as make S’mores. The decor seemed a little busy with overwhelming amounts of decorative pillows. A few outlets in the kitchen and living area were nonfunctional which we only realized in the mornings as our phones/tablets did not charge. Overall, great place to stay! Would definitely stay here again!

Dark and dreary

There were multiple problems with utilities that were not addressed. I called and texted the host several times daily without a response for the first 16 hours. We had empty soap dishes next to every sink and only hand sanitizer, no soap at the sinks. We finally had to go out and purchase our own soap and shampoo the 2nd day. Later that afternoon, more hand sanitizer was dropped off. The freezer was leaking, and the handles on the faucets kept falling off. We were unable to get into the house at the agreed upon time and waited outside with tired, hungry kids until finally letting the housekeepers know we were late for dinner and could we please come in and drop our stuff? The photos made the house look light and spacious. The views were amazing...but you couldn’t see them from the house because all the windows were covered with curtains. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone unless this were young kids who just need a place to crash, not to anyone expecting more.

Very comfortable house

We stayed here right as the world shut down for cov-19. The house was well set up for cooking and grilling. The beds were comfortable and the rooms spacious. If I needed anything, the owner and property managers were right there. They checked on us a few times to see how we were, and we appreciated that. The property is about a 5-10 minute drive from the plaza. You can see amazing sunsets.

Not luxurious but has everything you need. We actually never stayed a night at the VRBO. We checked in, went out to dinner and ended staying with friends. It’s a very eclectic rental. The kitchen is very nice.
