The house was comfortable, with a well equipped kitchen. We especially liked the foos ball table and arcade games. We had a lot of fun staying at this beautiful home. Thank you!

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
Great condo
Cozy fire place
Big hot tub and hot!
Great downstairs mudroom for ski gear
Great area down stairs for kids to hangout
Kitchen-Needs more basic cooking utensils and cookware
Front porch a little tired- run down
Great spot for a getaway with an incredible view of the mountains. The home was cozy and comfortable for a group of 8-10 adult ladies. Shower upstairs was very relaxing.
For the price expected perfection but, there were little issues that one would expect would have been fixed in between guests. Example ice maker didn’t work, no extra pillow cases but extra pillows. Couldn’t use hot tub when we arrived due a thick film around tub- owner was super responsive and fixed the hot tub issue for us. Overall great stay.
My family and friends had a wonderful time at the Timber Creek Ski Chalet!!! The property is exactly as advertised. One of the things that attracted us to the place was the game room and Hot Tub, I'm happy to report everything was in perfect working order!!! Communication with Rob the owner was easy and he responded very quick. We stayed during the crazy cold snap of the winter of 2023, with morning lows -26 Degrees!!! These temperatures gave us car issues that we could not resolve until Monday on the day of our departure. We asked Rob to extend our stay a few hours until our issues were resolved and he said "No Problem" at no cost. Thanks Rob! We will be back!
This house was absolutely breathtaking! The views of Sunday River ski hill were beautiful! We even got to enjoy the fireworks that Sunday River ski resort had. Plenty of room for 3 families (6 adults and 6 kids) to hang out and relax. The kids loved the Wii, the arcade games and the hot tub. The adults enjoyed the fireplace / living room and of course the hot tub. We will definitely be staying here again next year.
This house was perfect for out two families on a long weekend ski trip. The basement offered a perfect escape for kids with awesome game and entertainment options while adults cooked with music and wine while the gas fireplace flickered. Rob was very responsive and couldn’t have been a better host.
Beautiful house in a picturesque location. A wonderful getaway for our family. We really enjoyed cooking together and playing games in front of the fire. We all had a great time and would highly recommend!!
We had a very relaxing and enjoyable weekend in Bethel and loved this property. We would highly recommend it. It was a quiet location- great for walking and recreational activities. Our group had a wonderful stay. Thank you!
We had a great time while there! Unfortunately, and unlike most people, I had to work over vacation and found the Internet was a little spotty. That shouldn’t be much of an issue for most people on vacation!! The house is beautiful and there’s lots to do. It’s going in the summer, it gets warm while gone during the day but cools off quickly at night. Lots of great hikes and locations nearby!
Pictures are exactly what to expect. We rented the house for our family vacation and it was perfect. House is very clean, Mountain View every time you looked out the window and sitting on the deck was relaxing, beds were comfortable with plenty of room for everyone. Hot tub clean and located with a nice view. Property owner very responsive and easy to communicate with. Worked one day out of the house and no problems with WiFi connection. Would recommend property for vacation spot.
The property exceeded our expectations! The pictures online are exactly what the property is In reality amazing! Rob the owner was very responsive and helpful. We would definitely rent here again when we are in the Bethel area! Thank you Rob.
We had an amazing time during our weekend stay in this house. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. The house is beautiful and the pictures you see on the listing were very accurate. Rob was prompt in answering any questions we had, which was great! Overall it was a great experience!
The house was great! It’s in a very convenient location. There are shops and restaurants only 6 minutes away. The owners were easy to communicate with and very attentive to any questions. I would gladly stay here again. I recommend this house!
I had a good time. It was a beautiful place and very clean .

Sweet Ski Chalet!
We stayed at Timber Creek for a couple of days over New Year's. The house is a ten minute drive to Sunday River, where we skied and enjoyed food and drinks at the Sunday River Brewing Company (great casual food). The owners of this house were in excellent communication with us--very nice and easy to work with. The house was beautiful, up on a secluded hill with distant views of Sunday River. It is private, clean, and spacious. The kids enjoyed the basement where there were a few arcade games, a TV, and foosball table. Downstairs is also a bunk room. The kitchen and living room area are open and fantastic for cooking and having cocktails by the gas fireplace. There are two small bedrooms on the main floor (queen and two twins), and up the stairs, there is a large master with a queen and spacious bathroom. There a plenty of bathrooms, a terrific area in the basement for ski gear, washer/dryer, and a hot tub. We had a wonderful time, and we highly recommend this rental.

About the host
Hosted by Rob Richardson
In January of 2018, I moved back to Maine after living and working in Boston for the better part of the past decade. I now live in Portland with my husband, Phil, and our two cats, Jack and Diane. Having grown up in a small town in southern Maine, I have always been enchanted by the area and all it has to offer – from summertime on the coast or on the shores of its many lakes to wintertime in the mountains. Now, Phil and I enjoy Portland for all it has to offer: world-class restaurants, incredible breweries, seafood, and all of the culture of this enchanting city. We feel incredibly lucky to call Vacationland “home.”
I have always loved to travel and experience other cultures – whether it’s Europe, Australia, or a new corner of the US, Phil and I are always planning a trip somewhere. When we travel, we try not to stay in major hotels; rather, we’d like to stay in a neighborhood and experience the area as a “local.” We always find these types of experiences far more rewarding than saying on the so-called beaten path.
We purchased our first vacation home a few years ago: a house on a lake in the area where I grew up. In fact, it’s the house right next door to where my grandparents used to live, and it’s where my parents met! Since we love to stay in Airbnb-type places when we travel, we thought we’d try our hand at hosting fellow travelers in our little slice of the world. We have been hosting for a few years now, and we love it!
We recently purchased a second vacation home, this time nestled on the edge of the White Mountains by Sunday River Ski Resort. We look forward to sharing this home with travelers out to enjoy some skiing, hiking, or who simply want to revel in the solitude of the woods and enchanting views of the mountains.
We look forward to sharing our places with you!
