Perfect property for the 4 of us to come up and ski/ride Killington. Very short drive to K-1 area for spring skiing. Kitchen had everything we needed to make meals
Great location, clean and comfortable. Only downfall was trail and lift were closed due to early season lack of snow.

Thanks for staying Marc, sorry about the weather and COVID challenges this year. Skyeship is scheduled to open next week, this is about the latest I've ever seen it open. Typically the resort works hard to open Skyeship and all of Killington's Ski in/Out property for the December Holidays.
Location is fantastic, true ski in ski out. Steps off the Great Eastern trail. Recent renovations are a big plus! Loved that we could bring our dog. Check in/out was easy.

Thank you Hope! Happy to hear you had a good visit and enjoyed Spruce Glen!
This unit is conveniently located close to Killington and surrounding areas. It was very clean and the beds were comfortable. We didn’t cook but kitchen looked in decent shape. Overall, it was a great value and we had a comfortable stay as a family of 3.
This cozy getaway was wonderfully easy for a stay before we headed into Woodstock and Bondville. For this brief time we didn't need anything too lavish, just a quiet and warm place to stay, and this was just that! The host was also very attentive, which is always welcomed!
If you're looking for somewhere to be your launching point for a week of skiing, this is it! I've never had closer ski in/ski out. Not even parking at a lodge. Walk outside, put your skis on and give yourself a push or two and you're on the trail! Amenities were good, full kitchen and two showers were amazing after a day on the mountain.
Great property like the updates too bad the ski on trail was not available

Thanks for being a repeat guest Kathleen! The Ski on/off usually opens before the holidays. It was late this year due to weather and COVID unfortunately.

Property owner easy to work with and addressed any concerns immediately, House is cozy and location is amazing - pet friendly with nice area for walks - ski location cannot be beat! Kitchen was lacking some cookware if you plan to make big meals overall a great ski location spot

Thanks Rebecca! I've checked the kitchenware out but will follow up to see what else might be needed.
Enjoyed our weekend at spruce glen B. Not fancy but nice and cozy with comfy couches, a nice gas wood stove, and updated paint. Kitchen is adequately equipped.l with basics. Dog friendly very appreciated! Ski trail down to skyeship right behind - that trail was not open yet but we enjoyed walks on it.

Thanks Laura! We've been making many updates at Spruce Glen, including all the appliances, beds, furniture, floors, decor, paint, steaming TVs, and much more. We have 2 pet friendly units and 2 non-pet units to accommodate guests. Hope to see you stay with us again soon!
We had a great stay here. Host was great communicator. The updates to the place are nice (e.g., bed, bathroom). Sauna was added bonus. We weren’t able to enjoy ski in/out due to the lifts closing late in the season but host made up for it in other ways and we appreciate it. Will rent again if we go back to Killington.
It’s nice to be able to ski out your door down the Great Eastern long green. And super convenient to go to the store and restaurants. We had five people and it was perfect. Nice cozy living room to sit around and watch tv. Good ROKU television. Nice gas stove in living room to warm you up as well. I give this place an excellent++ rating.
The condo checks all the boxes but didn’t really work for us. For 4 of us, the space feels cramped. The kitchen space is really tight and we had to squeeze to get a family of 4 around the table. A few suggestions on the kitchen to make it better . . . More large plates (only 4), bigger pans (only 1 sauce pan), kitchen towels (used a bath hand towel), more wine glasses (3). There were a lot of little things broken or worn or dusty that made the place look beat up (broken chair, lamp, mirror not hung in the bathroom, ripped curtain, a part of the wall looked rotted or kicked in, cupboards could used deep cleaning). The 2nd floor bathroom is a really tight space and the ceiling in the bedrooms is pitched. I think all of us hit our heads including my 12 yr old. On the plus side, the king bed is very comfortable. The owner was very responsive on Christmas Day when the heat was tripped in the kitchen. I let him know about the broken things and he said he would take care of them. We weren’t able to ski on/off because the conditions were poor but it’s a short drive to the mountain. I would chose to go farther from the mountain to get more space for the price.

Thanks for your feedback Jen. I addressed the dish ware (which I had just checked at start of ski season) and chair. The units are efficient, updated and have most of what you need. They are 1100 sq ft, lean a bit rustic, are accurately portrayed in photos and some guests review them as spacious for ski accommodations. Spruce Glen was designed by skiers for skiers. It is quite rare in location, beauty and privacy but I also have units in Trail Creek that may be a better match if you are looking for modern luxury vs private woodsy cabin directly on a long family ski run.
This was our first ski trip with our daughter (4 months old) and the location could not be beat. We loved being right off of the Great Eastern trail, which made it easy to come back to the condo and trade off who was watching our daughter. The gas fireplace was great- easy to use and heated the place quickly. The shower was recently renovated and had great water pressure. Kitchen was a little tight but had everything we needed to cook. Definitely would stay here again!
Communication with Ryan was great. Location is wonderful.
House on the other hand needs some work. Looks like Ryan is upgrading things little by little. Some kitchen appliances are new (Stove, Dishwasher, Fridge) kitchen cabinets are in dire need of replacement. Pots and pans have seen better days. As of right now, I would not recommend this kitchen if you are planing on cooking your own meals.
Both bathrooms were renovated, but we had hard time with hot water pressure. First floor has new floor tiles, upstairs carpet has seen better days.

Thanks for the feedback Anton, I've upgraded almost everything at Spruce Glen. The kitchen cabs are solid wood original and I upgraded all the appliances and granite tops. I have other units with fully modernized kitchens/cabinets for guests valuing that, but I feel with Spruce Glen's rustic nature they are functional and fitting. I just checked & upgraded all the pots/pans after your stay, many guests cook in. The upstairs carpet is being upgraded to vinyl plank this fall. We upgraded the well pressure tank for consistent water pressure this year.

Why they chose this property
Spruce Glen is among the best locations in Killington, I remember skiing by the property as a kid and have now purchased it from the original owners as our family ski destination. I've enjoyed restoring this unique vacation complex to delight both new and loyal decades long guests!
What makes this property unique
Unrivaled ski on/off access on the Great Eastern Trail! Nestled in a forest of New England Spruce trees, just above the Skyeship Gondola base lodge. Spruce Glen is the only ski in ski out property in Killington that is not neither a condo association or private home. Guests enjoy the largest private lot on Great Eastern (almost 4 acres) at a lower cost than home rentals and more seclusion than nearby condo villages.
