About this property

Cosy and authentic 1870s miner's cottage - Views, fireplace, stroll into town

****April - Nov 25 - Discounted rates on weekday rates due to neighbouring building work. While this has not been disruptive so far, please note before booking.

Tucked away on a quiet lane just an easy 8–10 minute walk from the centre of town, Marigold Cottage is a character-filled Daylesford home that's been thoughtfully restored for a comfortable and peaceful stay.

Enjoy your morning coffee on the sunny verandah as the day begins, or take a short stroll to the end of the street at dusk—you’ll often spot kangaroos in the nearby paddocks, and occasionally in the back garden!

Inside, the cottage is cosy and inviting. Light the fire, run a hot bath in the original claw foot tub, or settle in with a good book, a film, or a shared meal in the well-equipped country kitchen.

The home has been carefully updated to keep its original charm while adding modern comforts:

- Two comfortable queen bedrooms with electric blankets

- Ducted heating throughout, plus split system heating and cooling

- Renovated bathroom with deep bath and separate shower

- A fully equipped kitchen with Nespresso machine, quality knives and cheeseboard essentials

- Outdoor deck with views to Daylesford and Wombat Hill

- A separate fire pit area tucked beneath the grapevines

- Cosy living room with wood fire

- Unlimited Wi-Fi, SmartTV, DVD player, Bluetooth stereo, books, board games and puzzles

- An easy walk to the lake, cafes, galleries and shops; five minutes by car to Hepburn Springs

- Off-street parking for two vehicles, plus plenty of space on the street

Marigold Cottage is perfect for couples, friends or small groups of up to four. You’ll have the whole property to yourselves to relax, explore, and enjoy the simple pleasures of spa country life.

Magical place , a taste of what I can only dream off having :)

As stunning as the photos are of this beautiful dream home, it does not do it justice, every single room had clearly been thought of in detail , to me it was magical especially the bath tub , such a beautiful tranquil cottage I did not want to leave. Thank you for allowing us to stay

Lovely Anniversary getaway

Marigold cottage was exactly as it was online. A beautiful older style cottage and had everything you could need for your stay. When we arrived the heating and lights were on which made us feel warm, cozy and welcome. Everything was within walking distance or a very short drive. We would definitely stay there again.
