Third time staying here and I really can't say enough great things about it. The property, our host Ann, and the location are all phenomenal. If you're not booking this house for your next visit to the Asheville area, you're really doing yourself a disservice.
Fantastic property. Highly recommend. Very clean and beautiful area. Great hiking, biking, and sight seeing. Owner was very helpful. Thanks for a great stay.
We loved our stay at Ann's place! The land is beautiful and peaceful. The house is well-kept and had all necessities. Ann was super responsive and helpful. And our kids loved the rope swing and the horses!

Loved it!
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Bungalow Farmhouse. It's perfect for dog owners, with trails in Pisgah National forest practically out the back door. There's plenty of space, and the decor is very cute. The location is beautiful and peaceful. We hope to return!
This is our second stay at the property and the familiarity made our stay even more remarkable than before. The weather even allowed us to sleep with some windows open, which let us fall asleep to the sounds of Walker creek (about 150 yards from the house). I could go on and on, but I will simply say we are already planning trip #3!
This is a very charming house on a very charming property. The house is cozy and accommodating, surrounded by mountains and very pastoral views. Peaceful and quiet, surrounded by roaming pastures of horses and cows. Now in the fall the colors of the changing trees are just gorgeous. We enjoyed our stay and would do it again.
We've stayed at this property several times now, and there are plenty of reasons we keep coming back. Beyond the natural beauty of the surrounding area, the well-maintained and cozy craftsman home, and convince to Pigah (not quite this trip with the park roads/bridges missing from the hurricane), the owner is both a pleasure to work with and very patient with my two young daughters who are in awe of the horses around the property. We'll keep coming back as long as this property stays available!
We so enjoyed our time at the bungalow farmhouse! Hiking trails to explore with the dogs are right out the door, and there are so many to explore. We couldn’t get to them all! The house is spacious and comfortable, and the woodstove created a cozy feeling in the evenings! It was a beautiful time, and we will be back!
As advertised and more. Both the home and location are fantastic. This property sits at the entrance to Pisgah NF/Big Ivy. You can explore miles of trails right off the front porch, or drive into Weaverville (10 mins S) or Marshal (15 mins N) for some great meals/drinks/entertainment. The home is equipped with everything you’d need, was clean, and without any hiccups or “gotchas”.
The experience was outstanding! We were so comfortable and the farmhouse was just perfect! The only thing missing from the amenities list is the satellite/cable. There is none. There is a smart TV. Loved our stay and had a wonderful traditional Thanksgiving Dinner cooked in the Farmhouse kitchen. The surroundings and location were so wonderful. Just a quiet, pleasant, comfortable place to relax and enjoy the outdoors. And our granddaughters loved the swings hanging from the big pine in the yard. Very nice place and hosts.
We spent 5 days and never got bored. There are several long trails in walking distance, we spent our days hiking near the property. Our goal was to have plenty of hiking without driving and this place is perfect. Ashville is close by, we went to dinner and bar hopping a couple of evenings. Best of both worlds!
Great place for relaxing and doing some hiking without getting on your car. Beautiful setting just yards from the Big Ivy area of the Pisgah Forest. Neighbors were a bit loud on New Year’s Eve but the other nights were dead quiet and calm.
Our family loved the house. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of room for 6 people: 4 adults and 2 children. I would bring my own skillet next time, I cook larger quantities than their skillet would hold. However the kitchen was well equipped.
We really enjoyed the open layout and cooking on the black stone outside. The location was convenient to both Asheville and surrounding National Forest land.
An ideal site for a Mountain Wedding for our daughter and her husband - a very nice location.
Nice walks, terrific views and close to Asheville and its Brewery Tours.
We will be back.

Lovely farmhouse
Had a great time visiting kids and grandkids who lived very close! Sleepovers were common- plenty of room. Kids loved the tree swing and watching the horses. We will be back
My wife and I packed up our four kids for a long weekend in the mountains. Jay and Ann are perfect hosts. The location is easy to find and convenient to creeks, mountains, and hiking trails. The animals on the property are charming and friendly. We cannot say enough good things about our time at this house!

Peaceful and picturesque surroundings
Our family had a wonderful time staying at the farmhouse and enjoying Jay and Ann's hospitality and the peaceful and picturesque surroundings. It was a great family weekend celebrating the proposal by our son Nicholas, to his girlfriend Sarah, on Sunday at the Biltmore in Ashville. Happily she said, "YES." The weekend stay at the farmhouse made it a perfect family memory and a wonderful new chapter in Nicholas and Sarah's relationship.

Great place for a mountain getaway. Rustic charm; very cozy.
Our family of seven loved the house. Hiking trails were a bit difficult to locate from the house. Once we found one, it ended quickly and impassable in the rushing creek. But beautiful nonetheless and wound up just board gaming on the huge round table. The fire in the wood stove was fun for our citified kids.

will come back
This is an original house at the end of the road before the park entrance, with a beautiful stream across the gravel road, right at the border of gorgeous woods, with horses and a goat, and space to run. My kids and dogs loved staring at the animals for hours. It was a soothing stay for us. Will definitely come back.
