If you want to be right on the water then you can't go past this place. Exceptional water views from almost every room, excellent facilities and beautiful location. Only 2 minutes walk to a snorkelling and swimming beach. Step straight onto scenic Tomaree National Park or relax and enjoy this private sea view sanctuary from either of the comfortable lounge rooms. Perfect for families or a romantic getaway for couples.

Portovenere has spectacular 180-degree views of the Pacific Ocean. This duplex brick house can sleep 8 people over 3 bedrooms. Two rooms with queen beds and a third with 2 king singles and a trundle. The master bedroom has fantastic ocean views and also has an ensuite. The main bathroom has a corner bath (not spa) and separate toilet. Downstairs there is another toilet. Split system air conditioner in downstairs living room and flat screen tv & dvd player. Fully equipped kitchen with microwave. BBQ and a double garage. Great accommodation for a family or a group of friends. See dolphins and whales from the verandah. Great beach fishing. Beautiful sunsets.

Great Holiday Accommodation in a Fantastic Location. Only 2 hours drive Nth of Sydney, and 40 minutes Nth of Newcastle, Fishermans Bay in Port Stephens on the coast of NSW is the perfect holiday destination, and Portovenere is the perfect holiday beach house. All you need is close at hand. Fishermans Bay beach is a leisurely 2 minutes stroll. The village of Anna Bay is a 3-minute drive away with shops, restaurants, an IGA supermarket, 2 bakeries, newsagency, post office, chemist, doctors surgery, butcher, tavern with a bistro, bottle shop and service station. There is also a takeaway fish and chip shop, a pizza restaurant and a lovely Thai restaurant. More extensive facilities are a 6 minute drive away at the Salamander Centre in Salamander Bay, with 3 major supermarkets, Kmart, specialty shops, banks and much more.

Pretty Good

The property was exactly as shown - beds comfortable, furniture in reasonable repair. The property is a little tired but some very superficial upgrades and a bit of paint here and there will bring this very good short-term stay more than excellent. There was some noise for a very short time from the adjoining property and the call put in by Bay Reality fixed the problem and we were most thankful.

Amazing location

Loved our stay at this property even thought the weather wasn’t great. Would give it 5 stars however there are a few tired pieces of furniture, broken tiles, chipped plates, old beds- saggy- overall it could do with a decent refresh. The bbq is shocking - no gas, was not cleaned and super small for only t adults. Really needs to be replaced. Couldn’t fault it otherwise and would love to come back especially if maintenance is actioned.

Great location to explore Tomaree National Park and the coast

The property manager was excellent and supporred us through gale force winds, water coming in through the windos and a blackout. It's a holiday we will remember. The huge spa bath and very hot water were very appreciated.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The place was at a beautiful location and close to where we needed to be. It’s absolutely beautiful backyard view and being able to see the sunset is amazing. Just little things like, too much cluttered furniture, not updated and old. The place needs to be pest controlled extremely well and the cleanliness of the place needs to done properly. There were bugs and mosquitoes hiding in the material curtains. We had a couple of sleepless nights because of the insects being in the rooms and hiding in bed sheets. The door screens need to be stronger to help hold the insects out of the house. Also the back yard area would be extra beautiful if it was grass so we would have been able to sit on the grass area and also have some insect repeller, perhaps a light to elevate how much insects come inside. The beds could be updated, and the bathroom as well. The spa was not working and the towel hanger fell off the wall on its own. Otherwise it’s a beautiful location and we made the most of it. We will come again. And tell our friends about it. Thank you

Property has everything one may wish for, I was a bit worried about lack of air-conditioning on upper floors but most of the time there was plenty of breeze to keep bedrooms cool during the night. Beds are comfortable, showers have great pressure, kitchen is well equipped, Wi-Fi signal is strong and sitting/reading room is lovely place to have some quiet time. Property is tastefully decorated and for someone that enjoys fishing location is great with some top catches from the rocks below the property. Lots of great beaches in the area, plenty of great food options near by and some great coffee options at Anna Bay. Absolutely nothing to dislike.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Spacious property with well equipped kitchen and thoughtful touches. Loved sitting and watching the ever-changing ocean and listening to the sound of the waves at night was so relaxing. Local IGA supermarket well stocked all your supplies. There's a Thai restaurant and pizza takeaway down the road and the Anna Bay Tavern was good to. The camel rides at nearby Oakfield Ranch were a highlight and loved nearby One Mile Beach. Thoroughly recommend Portovenere for a relaxing family holiday and the Wi-Fi included was a great bonus. Communication from the property management team was excellent.

We had put in *****ave. not *****st. and they are both close by.Second night we poured a drink and filled the spa bath but to no avail it did not work. Very disappointed :(.Only other problem was one of the elements on cooktop did not work properly.Also quiet a few cobwebs around.Other than that our stay was very good overall and was a good rest for both of us.Rental staff were very helpful also when reporting the issues mentioned (no discount though for inconvenience!)Definitely would stay again but maybe a bit longer, 4 x nights not quiet enough time.

Ocean bliss

Our family enjoyed an incredible 10 days enjoying the oceanfront location, sampling all the local offerings from beaches & snorkeling spots to delicious food and service. Loved waking to the sound and smell of the ocean. Highly recommended

Comfy Oceanfront

3 couples had two enjoyable nights in this property. Very comfy lounges and beds allowed us to relax and enjoy the home. The view is 180 degrees and we did see whales from outside and in.

Absolutely beautiful!

We loved this place so much that we came back again! Absolutely stunning view, we saw whales, dolphins and seals all from our lounge room. The house is very roomy , really clean and has everything you need. So many things to do in the area and really close walk to amazing beaches. Great service from booking all the way thru to check out.
