I love it!
It was our first experience to rent a house. We decided this place and we weren't disappointed with it. It was very nice place,so quiet around beautiful nature, clean inside. The house stuffed with everything you need,(kitchen, bediing, bathrooms, etc..). The owner was taking care of our stay!! We really enjoyed and hope will be back next time! Thank you!!!:)
Very positive experience. Excellent communication with property owner and everything was provided (towels, bedding, kitchen ware) to make for a comfortable stay. Bit of a winding commute from town, but we enjoyed the scenery.
This is a very nice place. The bedrooms are large and the bathrooms and kitchen are great. I think the owners are still working on it, as the deck could use some love as well as a couple of other minor things. Overall a good place to stay!
We rented the the place for a weekend gathering of family and friends. The place was clean, comfortable, and peaceful. The host very accommodating. Highly recommend.

Liked: Cleanliness, property conditions & facilities, communication
This was everything we needed in a rental for a visit to Apple Hill. The house was cozy and the owner made sure we knew all the in’s and out’s of the place before we got there. Directions for getting in were perfect. Bedrooms were nice and cozy, had all the needed amenities and we enjoyed the quiet nights on the back deck.
My friends and I had a little getaway for a couple nights and this place was just right for us. We had a good time at this place even. Though it was not as close to Jenkinson Lake as we had hoped, it was close enough. The place was nice and spacious, and the back deck was awesome for mornings. Vivek was great at communicating and checking in on how things were going.
Unit was clean and cozy. It's about a 15 minute trip back to town, so plan ahead if you need anything. Property was nice to explore and we had a great stay.
We rented this property because we needed to be in the area for a wedding. We didn’t want to stay at a hotel because we were looking for something more spacious with our children. This property was so nice! We enjoyed the privacy. We also greatly appreciated the large kitchen. All of us enjoyed watching the occasional deer out the windows. I would definitely rent this property again.
The cabin is a clean and comfortable property and was well equipped. Our party of seven enjoyed the quiet and remote neighborhood. The property is surrounded by beautiful trees and it’s minutes away from Lake Jenkinson and the Sly Park Recreation Area. The host was excellent. He was reachable and kind enough to answer all our questions. The cabin has all you need to feel welcome. I highly recommend the property. Our trip and the property definitely deserve the five star rating. We hope to come back some day.

Not equipped for heavy winter/snow
I would really like to give this place a better review. It is a nice home and looked after but a series of events that happened this weekend prevents me from giving it a good review.
Received notice from the owner prior to our trip that housekeeping could not make it out to the cabin due to snow and was given the option to cancel or refund of the cleaning fee. Spoke it over with our group, we decided to go ahead...no problem washing some sheet and towels.
We get to the cabin a little early around 2:30pm....road leading to the cabin and driveway were not plowed. Thought maybe because we are early plow had not gotten there yet. Decided to head down the hill to get groceries and come back. Ended up flagging down someone and paying them to plow the road and driveway to get to the cabin ourselves.
Start unloading and the cabin has no power! Nothing is working. Talking with the gentleman who plowed the driveway for us and informed us the whole area had been without power for a week now. WHAT! Information that would have been useful to us earlier...something the owner should have known. Check the cabin for candles, flashlights, lanterns....nothing. Power did finally come on just before 6:00pm that night. Ok we are good...able to get all the sheets and towels laundered, beds made and off to bed to enjoy the snow the next day.
Messaged the owner in the AM informing him of no power upon arrival, driveway not being plowed and requesting the driveway be plowed prior to our departure on Monday (we were due for another foot or so of snow on Sunday). Asked if there was a shovel somewhere so we could clear the pathway from the driveway to the house. Then the power went out again...and NEVER CAME BACK ON. Unable to retrieve messages from the owner.
We were hoping that PG&E was regulating the power and would come back on later in the afternoon like the day before.
Again here we are in a house with no source of light or heat. The wood burning stove has a padlock on it and unable to use. There is no back up generator to run anything. Temperature that night got below 50 degrees inside the house, it was in the single digits outside.
As soon as it was light enough on Monday...we got out of there. Temperature inside the house was at 49 degrees. Our young daughters were complaining how cold it was.
Suggestions:
Back up generator for winter/snow
Candles, flashlights and lanterns
Shovel to clear walkways and deck
Plow the driveway when guests are expected
