Great location up against the mountains in the La Quinta Cove area. Old Town, grocery, parks and good restaurants nearby. Master and living room opens to backyard pool/spa. Secondary bedrooms and casita have a fountain view. Mini split in casita is nice. We really enjoyed our stay here- very clean and plenty of room for a larger group. Kitchen had everything we needed and the bar area with extra fridge was great. Adi was very prompt with responses to small issues we had during our 2 week stay. We will be back!!
Loved this beautiful house and the peace and exclusive feel of its cul de sac, mountainside location. Incredible views and gorgeous landscaping. Picture perfect getaway.
The property has everything you need. Pool was great for my older kids they loved it. Nice neighborhood as well. The house is great for large families.
My family and I stayed here for 4 nights during Coachella. It’s a great location for the event, within 2 miles of a shuttle bus stop. The home is very nice, just a couple of negatives-the bathrooms are not well stocked with paper products or shampoo/conditioner… the other issue is the deterrent to heat the pool or hot tub. Considering the cost of this home, both of these negatives were more annoyances than anything.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay.
To clarify a few points: it’s noted on the property page under amenities that we do not provide shampoo or conditioner, as most guests prefer to bring their own personal care products. Regarding your comment about a lack of paper products in the bathroom, I assume you are referring to toilet paper. The property has 4 bathrooms, each stocked with 3 rolls of toilet paper (12 rolls total). If you had run out during your 4-night stay, we would have gladly restocked upon request. Additionally, we provide a bar of soap for each shower and stock ample sundries throughout the property to ensure guests have everything they need for the kitchen and laundry.
We never discourage guests from using the pool and spa and clearly disclose the utility fee process upfront during booking. Unlike many properties that charge $75 to $100 per day to heat the pool and spa, we share the utility costs with guests by reading the meter at check-in and check-out, deducting the shared portion, and billing for any overage. In your case, your utility bill was just $44—far less than the $300 to $400 typically charged by comparable rentals for similar nightly stays.
Lastly, all hotels and rental properties are at a premium during the April music festivals. Our special event rates are competitive and, in many cases, lower than other 4-bedroom homes in the area.
We enjoyed hosting you and hope you’ll consider staying with us again in the future.
This is a truly wonderful home in a great location with a gracious host. We loved everything about it. We are a family of five and we have stayed in countless vrbos around the country and this was one of our all-time favorites. The pool and the hot tub were glorious. The interior space is filled with tons of light from the windows. The beds are extremely comfortable. The house is equipped with everything you need. We will definitely be back. We love this place.
This property is terrific : 4BD/4BA, fabulous views, clean, well appointed, secure, everything well explained. But be warned of the utility allowance surcharge. We did everything asked of us : set the AC at temperature stated, fanatically kept lights off when not in use, closed drapes during day, obviously didn't need to heat pool during 110+ temp stay and still got hit by a few hundred $$ surcharge for utilities. Bad business practice.
This home with gorgeous Mountain View’s was a peaceful retreat for 4 friends. We stayed a week. The layout of the home, furnishings and decor were top notch. I’ve been renting in the desert for over 25 years during May or June and this is one of the prettiest houses we’ve stayed in. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had all the appliances but was only stocked with a few seasonings, nothing else, so bring your baggies, foil, etc. The backyard was very large with seating arrangements tucked in several places to handle a larger group. The pool is very narrow, more of a lap pool, not really for more than 2 people on floaties at a time. Floaties and noodles were provided. The 4 outdoor padded lounge chairs were very comfortable. The spa was also fairly small, with 4 adults, you would definitely be tangling up your legs together. The oddest thing, however, was NO cold water in any tap of the house. The property manager said that was completely normal due to the hot weather, but we have never had an issue like that before. The only cold water was from the refrigerator water spigot. With the heat, it is kind of nice to take a cool shower to refresh but that was not possible. I had to get a cup of cold water from the refrigerator to brush my teeth. It most likely not an issue during winter but anyone coming during the summer months should be aware of this peculiar function of the house.

Thank you so much for your kind words about the beauty of the property — many of our guests feel the same, and we’re glad you enjoyed it too.
Just a quick note for clarification: the kitchen is stocked with a variety of seasonings located in the cabinet near the stove. You may have missed them during your stay. Since we were in touch frequently, I would have been happy to point them out had I known.
Regarding the pool, this is the first time we’ve received feedback that it felt small. It actually measures 9 feet wide and over 30 feet long, which typically suits our guests well.
As for the lukewarm tap water, this is a common occurrence in the desert during the summer months. When outside temperatures reach 110°F or more, the ground temperature rises heating the water pipes, which can cause the cold water to run lukewarm. I just wanted to clarify this for future guests so they know it’s a seasonal issue June to Aug and not a year-round one.
You requested to rebook the property for next year. We suggest you consider coming back in May, when the water runs cold in the taps, but completely understand your preference for the lower summer rates!
It was a pleasure hosting you, and we look forward to welcoming you back sometime in the future.
Best,
Adi
This home & property grounds are nothing less than grand. Soaring, beamed ceilings and capacious rooms with beautiful lighting touches allowed our group of 8 to have privacy from each other as each bedroom has its own full bathroom. The separate little casita allowed our newly engaged nephew (and his fiancée) even more privacy ;-)
Although the winds kicked up an unhealthy amount of desert dust that sent us inside from Friday night to Sunday AM of Memorial Weekend, as soon as the Air Quality Alert was lifted, we were out in the refreshing pool. Blue skies and sunshine were the norm, every day. And we loved the 100-degree weather since home (Pennsylvania) is too often overcast or rainy.
Adi was very sweet and prompt with her replies. Ex: the hot water heater died on Friday of Memorial weekend when our family was to arrive from Los Angeles so we kind of panicked, but she had it fixed that same day!
This property gives a $150 utility allowance, and you owe anything over that amount (which can reach ~$900/mo. in the desert!). Since we diligently conserved energy by turning off the AC at night (ceiling fans were enough) and didn't heat the pool or spa (May has warm enough weather) and drew the curtains facing the pool (after noon), our utility bill after we checked out was not high ($144). It felt good that we did not waste precious energy.
You will be amazed and very happy if you choose this rental. Nothing else compares and we've stayed in many.
For our annual reunion of 4 brothers, we chose La Quinta this year and this property. It was everything advertised! Beautiful and great location with spectacular views. Four bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms! Really great spot! Will do it there again someday! Only one small issue and not a big deal, but the propane tank for the fire pit was empty. Otherwise all else was excellent!!!!

Hi Scott,
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us such a wonderful review — we truly appreciate it!
We always encourage guests to reach out if anything comes up during their stay so we can take care of it right away. I’m sorry I didn’t realize the fire table propane tank was empty. We do keep extra full tanks in the garage for just that reason.
It was a pleasure hosting you, and we’d love to welcome you back anytime.
Take care,
Adi
We loved this property for our annual USC TRIbe reunion! Thank you for making our stay so comfortable! Would love to come back soon.

This was our second time renting this property for our family of 6. We absolutely love everything about it! Our kids are 12, 9, 6, and 5 and the layout of the home is so comfortable for everyone. The house is so clean and Adi is so attentive. We had a small issue with not getting hot water and she called immediately after I messaged her and had it fixed by the time we got home! Impressive! We loved our morning walks on the nearby path, so convenient it’s literally right outside the door. Loved the pool, although we just had to make sure kids were careful just cause it’s a little narrow. But no big deal. Highly highly recommend to a large family!
This house is perfect for our family trip. Had all the amenities you would need, plenty of space, and the views are spectacular. We stayed during summer which is very hot. The AC struggled a bit staying below 80 during the day and the pool is very warm (96 degrees) because all the house water is very hot but you expect that when you're staying in the desert this time of year. We'd definitely come again!
Lovely, secluded and spacious home with amazing views!
We stayed at Casa Luna in at the end of July for 3 nights and had the best time. There were 6 of us and we used all the rooms, including the casita. This is such a lovely home and we hope we can come back again. The kitchen and living room are huge. (The living room now has a comfy sectional couch which is different from the couches shown in the photos.) We made all our meals at the house and just loved using the large kitchen – two full size refrigerators! – and it was stocked with everything we needed (tons of dishes and glasses to use). The decor of the house is so well done. The master bedroom and bathroom are HUGE! All the beds were very comfortable. Honestly the photos just don’t do this home justice. (The loungers near the pool have been upgraded with new luxury ones with thick cushions.) This is a totally secluded home with beautiful mountain views, so you feel like you’re at a resort. It’s completely fenced in, so our dog was able to roam around without any fear of getting out. We spent all day each day in the pool and it was larger than we expected since it looks so small in the photos – it’s about 8 feet wide by 36 feet long – so the six of us had plenty of room to float. We were able to play music outdoors – we did keep the volume low, so we could talk and not disturb the neighbors. I was worried about the utility costs, but it averaged about 40 dollar per day which wasn’t too bad given the size of the house. The recommended setting for the thermostat is 78 degrees, but this setting was just too warm for us, so we set it at 76 or 77 during the day and 74 at night. The outdoor temp was over 100 degrees (110 the first day), so we did not need to heat the pool and did not use the spa. When you first arrive, the house is still pretty warm since the a/c is turned on just a few hours before you arrive, but the owner is willing to turn it on earlier if you request it, which I would recommend (it does add to your utility cost, but well worth having a cool home your first day). The 2-car garage is also open for guests to park in, which is great on those hot, hot days. They will let you check in early if the home is available, which is greatly appreciated. Adi was very quick to respond to a couple questions we had during our stay. You’ll love staying at this home.
My family of 5 flew in from Charleston SC for the music festival and some good clean fun and relaxation. The home was clean, beautiful, and perfectly located to nearby shops and restaurants. Shuttles to the festival were also less than 2 miles away. Mountain views were incredible as were the pool and spa.
Beautiful property across from the hiking trails. The house itself is spacious and rooms have their own doors to the patio.
