Marcin was such an easy host to deal with, extremely responsive and accomodating. The cottage is so beautiful and cozy. Perfect winter get away- so peaceful and calm.
Host was excellent with communication and made sure our stay was comfortable. Campfires by the lake, warm spacious cottage, exceptional view of the water. Great memories made.
Family-oriented, pet friendly, very clean, so many thing s to do or just sit back.and relax. Close to town and extra's things to do which the owner provided recommendations.
We as a family with three kids stayed at this cottage for two nights! Every time you want to take a shower or use the HOT WATER you CAN'T because comes hot only for 5 mnts and then you wait over an hour to be able to use it again, hard with a big family

There is absolutely no problem with hot water at the cottage. As with any other house and especially a cottage in the woods if several people shower in a row the hot water pump needs time to heat up the next boiler of water. All it needs is maybe not taking showers for ALL people at the same time! This cottages hosted much larger families with many kids without any hot water issues for the last 9 years! This is not an apartment building in the city connected to commercial city boiler but a cottage on the lake in the woods and it seems guest had no experience with such. He also did not follow hot tub instructions by leaving hot tub uncovered in winter overnight and was not happy it was difficult to bring the temp up again. In result it seems we received this low score from the guest.
Everything was as expected. The house was fully stocked with everything needed for our stay. A few lightbulbs missing and the Internet is very slow but we weren’t there for that. Hot tub and sauna was fantastic after hiking during the day. Washrooms updated and lots of hot water. Overall a great stay.

Thank you for your review and glad you had a great stay. In our opinion great stays in great cottages like ours deserve 5 stars! Our cottage offers authentic experience of being in a true North Canadian cabin. But at the same time we offer as many of comforts of home as possible. Thank you for including pictures of those. The internet is a standard Bell internet that’s available in Barry’s Bay Area. It probably holds up better than in any average day in GTA. We have worked, did school work and watch Netflix there without any issues whatsoever. We also have extra light bulbs in the kitchen if any of them burn out.
Friends and I were in Barry's Bay for the Ralley in the Valley motocycle event, and this cottage was in a perfect location, only 3 kms to the venue. We enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere and hope to come and stay again next year! We plan on adding a day or two next time, so we can take advantage of the hot tub and sauna and get out in the kayaks to do some fishing.
This place is a hidden gem. when you pull up to it you’ve got no sense of the view you’re going to get from inside. Looking out over the Madawaska River from the hill the cottage is perched on is gorgeous from any of the levels of the house, but it’s especially lovely from the hot tub at sunset. The area is beautiful and quiet. The cottage itself is homey and comfy with plenty of room for a big family. Host is very helpful and communicative. We loved our time here.
The location and view is fantastic. However the place needs a bit of a clean, the beds looked like someone might have used it with head imprents still on the pillows and hairs and dirt on the one bed and overall cleaning is required. With an infant that is crawling it took us about a day to clean before we could start enjoying the property. On arrival there was no water in the taps which was resolved later and we arrived with a dishwasher full of dirty dishes. Overall great place but will recommend host look at overall cleanliness of place.

Dear Lizel. Our cottage has regular cleaning by our cleaning crew several times a week including dusting, vacuuming cleaning kitchen and washrooms, as we are usually fully booked. We have recently upgraded all our linen which are washed and changed after each guest. The pillow might have been fluffed by a cleaning crew with the hand and not someone’s head. Moreover all our lines are changed every time so we find it hard to believe the lines had dirt or hair on it. In terms of no water at the time when you arrived, there was a power outage in the area which is common in cottage country. I spoke to you within less than an hour of your arrival and helped your husband to turn the water back on, this statement of water being back on “later” is also not accurate as it was turned on right away after your arrival. Same with the dishwasher which did not finish its cycle due to power outage. On the other hand our family was very disappointed with your very challenging communication with us. You expressed your very strong disappointment with no AC at our cottage however we do not list the cottage as having AC. You arrived in the last afternoon of heat wave and we tried to help your family and despite having 7 ceiling funs, our cottage manager brought you 2 portable ones. We asked you if received them and if you are happy with them but you never responded. Despite us trying to communicate with you for the next 3 days you have not responded to us, after the 1st few messages from you expressing disappointment with AC & the water issue. We are sorry to hear that our cottage did not live up to your expectations however we would have appreciated a better communication from your part towards us. To our future guests our family takes pride in this cottage and we strive for great cottage experience for our guests. If something gets missed by our cleaning crew while attending to this large cottage and property please let us know and we are more than happy to correct the issue.

Very comfortable cottage with everything you need for an awesome vacation. Great location. Peaceful setting at this time of year. We loved listening to and seeing loons everyday. Barry's Bay is just a quick drive down the road to pick up supplies. This is our home town so it was a great place to stay and visit the old 'hood'.
Great stay. Beach perfect for kids. Lot's to do in area and great cottage.

Good Location
The overall cottage and land is in keeping with other cottages in the area. The fourth bedroom is very very tiny. It is an old bathroom made into a fourth bedroom the room is 5x7 very cramped. Camp wood is not provided nor is their garbage disposal. User must pay dump fees or take your garbage home. Other cottages in the area I rented provided firewood and garbage disposal as part of the rental. The cottage was not properly cleaned from last years guest. I would rate this cottage 6 out of 10.

As advertised!
So much fun in the winter, with an amazing sledding hill right out the back door. Kid friendly, accommodated 9 of us, even had a high chair. This place is rustic if that's what your looking for.

Fantastic
This property was incredible! It checked off all of our boxes, and even the boxes we didn't anticipate. I would definitely recommend this property to others, and I would stay there again next time I'm in the area.
