This was a great match of a house for our group. 3 girls on our 1st visit to West Texas. We all in our 60’s-70’s. The house was fantastic! Set up great! Furnished very well! The owner was very good to work with. She was quick to respond to all our questions before check in . We had absolutely no issues at all. We will be back, this house, Marfa, and West Texas treated us well. Loved our time here.
My husband and I spent 6 nights at Desert Crunch and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We loved spending time on the front porch enjoying the amazing views. We hope to be able to visit again in the future.
This stay was a great location in Marfa. We found the house nice and spacious for our family of 4. The house had everything you needed with a well stocked kitchen and upgraded appliances. The beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed having a private car port attached to the house. In general the backyard was very private and well lit providing both solitude and safety from animals potentially wandering into the space. Overall a great stay for exploring Martha and close enoughto Big Bend to make an early day trip. We appreciated coming back to a nice comfortable house to rest up before starting our adventures the next day.
Great stay in Marfa. I usually stay in town but I actually preferred this location. Don’t get me wrong, you are still close to everything. But having a more low key (yes Marfa is already low key) experience with great front porch views- totally worth it. Great place.
The house is wonderful, with fun artwork and a great location near the Chinati. It’s very well-suited for a family traveling with kids. Highly recommended.
This was the perfect home for a long weekend in Marfa, my friends and I really enjoyed the home, the art, the proximity to Chinati, but also the solitude of being off the main road. Would definitely stay again.

Thank you so much for staying at our home. We are so happy to hear you had a wonderful time and hope to host you and your friends again.
We had a wonderful week in Marfa and our stay at this property was perfect. Spacious and nicely decorated ( the art is fun to look at), there was plenty of room for the family to spread out and rest, watch TV, eat if we weren’t in town doing something. The house is located in a quiet, peaceful area of town away from the main drag, but it’s only short walk or drive away.
House was comfortable and decorated nicely and artfully. Clean linens and modern decor. Nice views of Marfa and the surrounding desert. Pleasant mornings to sit on porch and watch rabbits and birds One detractor was the few live and dead roaches. Only other suggestions would be provide coffee and a microwave.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Desert Crunch. The location was perfect as it is just on the edge of town with a beautiful view of the mountains in the distance. Walking distance to Chinati. Would recommend a vehicle to go into town. Great amenities. Clean. Very cool artwork. Enjoyed the outdoor fire pit! Only thing missing was a microwave to heat up our yummy leftovers from some of the excellent restaurants in town. Would definitely stay there again. Highly recommend!
Our family had a wonderful stay at Desert Crunch. The home was clean, well appointed, and in a lovely little neighborhood. We enjoyed sitting out on the front porch each evening taking in the great views of the sunset and the city. We are already looking forward to our next trip back!!
The house was clean, practical, and well equipped, and we especially enjoyed the artwork displayed throughout the different rooms. It is located just on the outskirts of town, which made it very quiet at night, while still being conveniently close to the Chinati Foundation, other galleries, and a grocery store. Overall, it was a very comfortable and convenient place to stay.
This is our second time staying at Desert Crunch. We love this place. Well-stocked with nice open living space in a nice Marfa location overlooking the town.
The house is marfa at its best. Great local artwork, all mod cons, thoughtful design down to the kitchen tools. We were a easy walk to town, the view was grand. The house in all respects was amazingly clean. We so enjoyed our stay.
The house was lovely and the location was perfect. The house had everything we needed and was very clean and comfortable. Our group used the location as a home base for Alpine, Fort Davis, Big Bend, and Marfa (of course) - very convenient.
I have loved Marfa for years, and this house made me love it even more. Located in a quiet neighborhood that is just a short walk to the Chinati, it has a great view from the front porch and is really comfortable. We all loved the art. The bedding was top notch and the kitchen has everything you need.
