Expected More for the Price
We typically stay at another property, but really wanted to try Eden because our kids think it is the coolest building! I was also excited about their spa because a mom on vacation with three young children needs a a vacation treat, too.
We realized when we were on the way down, that we had not yet received information about how to access the condo. It was hard to get in touch with someone. When we did, the instructions were to check in at the front desk. Just include this information in the booking instructions. Simple and takes care of a guest's needs.
When we walked into the condo, an old/musty smell hit us immediately. The first thing I noticed was cobwebs on the dining room chandelier and saw a roach run across the kitchen floor. It was hard to feel comfortable there. I didn't even want to touch the carpet with my feet. We have stayed a VRBO properties before and they are usually stocked with necessity just like a home. Not, this property. It was basically a very expensive, dirty hotel on the beach. We ended up eating out for every meal because we didn't want to be at the condo.
The only positive was the terrace! Amazing! We loved playing out there! Though, there was not much furniture - just come concrete benches and an iron table. It was lovely, though.
To recap - Eden is a beautiful building in a great spot, but I do not recommend this particular unit. It was dirty, smelly, dated and not warm/hospitable. For the nightly rate, it is not worth it at all! Lots of other options that are much better for that same price, if not less. Oh, and the spa is closed on Saturday. Ugh.
