The Space:

Villa Vereda is a unique 1 bedroom villa with beach and ocean views in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. The villa is ideal for couples!  



It features top-quality furnishing, a large and luxurious kitchen, and wonderful community amenities such as beach access, a large swimming pool, tennis courts, and basketball courts. Guests love the excellent location which is less than 10 minutes from the El Yunque Rainforest, 5-10 minutes from a wide array of beaches and has excellent dining options nearby. 



Villa Vereda includes 2 parking spots. We strongly recommend having your own vehicle as there is a multitude of activities within a 30-minute drive that you will not want to miss out on. Uber and Taxis are hard to arrange in this area. 



FRONT GATE SECURITY AND CHECK-IN PROCESS



OUR PROPERTY IS SECURED WITH A FRONT ENTRANCE GUARD ON A SCHEDULED SHIFT FROM SUNDAY TO FRIDAY. THE SECURITY SHIFTS ARE AS FOLLOWS: 6 AM TO 1 PM, 2 PM TO 8 PM, AND 10 PM TO 4 AM. PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE WILL BE NO SECURITY GUARD AT THE FRONT ENTRANCE BETWEEN 1 PM AND 2 PM, 8 PM TO 10 PM, AND 4 AM TO 6 AM. WE KINDLY ASK GUESTS TO PLAN THEIR CHECK-IN ACCORDINGLY DURING THESE TIMES.



TENNIS COURTS UNDER RENOVATIONS: The tennis courts are NOT AVAILABLE for guests to enjoy due to maintenance and renovations.



ACCESSIBILITY NOTE: This property is located in the community called “Veredas del Mar”, which does not legally require elevators in any buildings since they have a maximum of 3 floors. Please take this into consideration if you or a companion has any disabilities.





LIVING AREAS



Once you enter Villa Vereda you are greeted with an open concept living and dining area that connects seamlessly to a top-notch kitchen. There is a 6-person dining table, large flat-screen TV with cable, AC, and a balcony overlooking the beach and community grounds.



The unit also includes a washer and dryer, perfect for longer stays!

 



SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS



The bedroom enjoys a beautiful view of the beach, ocean, and community grounds. It has a queen bed, a large closet, and a dedicated full bathroom. You will love waking up to the beach view from your comfortable bed.



PACK AND PLAY (SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY):



We can leave a complimentary Pack and Play at the property upon request. This should be requested upon booking or no later than 5 days before arrival. Pack and Plays are subject to availability.





KITCHEN



Villa Vereda has a spacious and luxurious kitchen with granite countertops. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, freezer, microwave, stovetop, oven, coffee maker, and toaster.





GETTING AROUND & PARKING



Villa Vereda includes two (2) assigned parking spots. Ubers and taxis are not readily available in this area.



Renting a car is a must when staying in Rio Grande. There are many activities within 15 minutes of driving distance and the roads are easy to navigate.





LOCATION



There are many things to do in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. Here are our top picks that you will be sure to enjoy during your stay:



Explore the lush and exotic El Yunque, the only rainforest under US Flagship. We can help you plan a hike or participate in a zip-line adventure.

Experience the glowing waters on a nightly kayak tour in the bioluminescent bay in Fajardo.

Taste the local flavors at the staple kiosks in nearby Luquillo – right next to the beach.

Go on horseback or four-track ride off the beaten path in Carabali Rainforest Park.

Play a round of golf at the Wyndham Rio Mar Golf Course or any of the neighboring nearby courses like Bahia Beach Resort & Golf Club in Rio Grande or El Conquistador Resort in Fajardo.

STARTER AMENITIES



At West Indies Vacation Rentals, we strive to provide top-notch amenities, ensuring our guests feel at home during their stay.



All properties come with freshly laundered bed linens and towels. We provide 2 bath towels per guest and 1 beach/pool towel per guest.



We provide a set of disposable essentials to help you get your vacation started comfortably. These include:



- 1 set of hotel-size soap and shampoo (per bathroom)

- 3 garbage bags

- 1 roll of paper towels

- 2 rolls of toilet paper (per bathroom)

- 1 dish soap

- 1 dish sponge

- A small amount of laundry detergent



Please note that we do not provide unlimited disposable amenities. It is the guest’s responsibility to review what is included in the property and stock any additional items needed for the duration of the stay.



Most properties also include at least 2 beach chairs and an ice cooler. You may reach out to us 5 days before arrival for confirmation.





HOUSE RULES



RENTAL AGREEMENT: All bookings require a signed Short-Term Rental Agreement, which will be sent upon confirmation of your reservation. Guests must upload a valid photo ID (no selfies) that matches the name on the credit card used for the booking. The agreement must be signed within 48 hours of booking or prior to entering the property, whichever comes first. Check-in instructions will not be provided until the agreement is completed.



NO SMOKING: Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property. A $500 smoking fee will be charged if this rule is violated.



NO PETS: While we are pet lovers, pets are not permitted at the property at any time. A $300 fine will be charged if this rule is violated, and guests may be asked to leave the property.



QUIET HOURS: Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please be mindful of noise during these hours out of respect for nearby residents/neighbors.



UTILITIES (WATER & ELECTRICITY): In the event of an interruption to water or electrical service, the host is not responsible for hotel, alternate lodging, or transportation expenses. If service is interrupted for more than 3 hours, guests may cancel the reservation and request a refund for unused nights only. Nights already used are non-refundable.



MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: The maximum occupancy is 2 adults/children at all times, including visitors.



OCCUPANCY ENFORCEMENT: Occupancy limits are strictly enforced. Exceeding the maximum occupancy may result in immediate cancellation of the reservation or removal from the property without refund.



TOWELS & LINENS: Towels and linens are provided for normal use only. Please do not use them for cleaning or allow them to be stained with food, grease, or other substances. Charges may apply for damaged or stained items.



TOWEL HANGING: Please do not hang towels or any other items to dry in areas visible from outside the unit. A $100 community fine may apply if this rule is violated.



SUBLETTING: Subletting or re-renting the property is not permitted.





CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT TIMES



Check-in begins at 4:00 PM, and since this is a self-check-in unit, you can arrive anytime after that.



If you’d like to check in earlier, please contact us the day before your arrival, and we’ll confirm availability. When possible, early check-in typically starts around 11:00 AM. Please note that early check-in is subject to availability and depends on our cleaning schedule.



If you need a guaranteed early check-in, you will need to book from the night prior to ensure the property is ready upon your arrival.



Check-out time is at 11:00 AM. For late check-out requests, please reach out the day before your departure, and we’ll be happy to check availability for you.





TRAVEL INSURANCE / HURRICANE SEASON



We strongly recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance, not only during the peak months of Hurricane Season (July to October) but also throughout the year to cover unexpected events such as travel delays, pandemics, or other unforeseen issues.



Travel insurance is inexpensive and can reimburse travelers for most expenses associated with canceling travel outside of the cancellation window; however, coverage will depend on the policy purchased. Make sure to review and understand the options before purchase.
