The Ocean Loft is an open floor plan apartment located on the second floor of The Beach Pad. This corner unit is the largest loft and the windows let in plenty of light. Enjoy the private balcony where you can hear the ocean, have coffee and see if the surf is up while sitting at your outdoor cafe table. Birds will serenade you in the morning and coquis will greet you every night!

The Beach Pad is the only property in the Sandy Beach area that has solar and a commercial grade generator, 2 backup sources of power, in an effort to ensure our guests’ comfort during the frequent power outages in Puntas.

COVID Update: Those visiting Puerto Rico should review the local measures in place, developed by the Puerto Rico Tourism Company (PRTC), such as social distancing, mandatory face coverings in public areas, and mandates for businesses. Travelers entering the island may have to provide the following forms upon arrival: a Travel Declaration Form, a vaccination card, or negative PCR molecular or antigen COVID-19 test results.

We have always been committed to providing the highest standard of cleanliness at The Beach Pad. During this pandemic, we have implemented an even more stringent cleaning protocol, above and beyond CDC recommendations, created by our owner who has more than 20 years of experience in occupational health and safety. Our new cleaning protocol includes, but is not limited to: masks worn by cleaning staff, hand sanitizer provided in every room, and additional sterilization of high-touch areas like door knobs and handles. Our top priority is the health and safety of our guests, staff and community.

Noise level warning: The Beach Pad is a 5 unit vacation rental property surrounded by restaurants, shops, and bars in the center of Puntas. It is conveniently located and during high season (Dec-April) and holiday weekends you may hear live bands or DJs until midnight on weekdays and much later on weekends. All other times of the year you will find it to be much quieter. If you are looking for an extremely quiet, away from it all location, this may not be your best choice.

From August through October some restaurants and bars close for the season or have limited hours. There are still plenty of restaurants open year-round and you can always check with us, or your digital guidebook to find out what is open!

Sandy Beach Surf Trip

Everything in unit was as described. Great for surf trip to Rincon, waves were great. Short distance drive (5 min) to Playa Maria's. Sandy beach is quaint with a few restaurants. Unit owner very repsonsive. Only downside, was Big Kahuna bar, next door, played live music until midnight.

Perfect location but bring ear plugs

Sandy Beach is the laid back little sister to Rincon (not that Rincon is Miami or anything but…) and the Beach Pad is perfectly located. The property is awesome — gorgeous personal decks, lovely rooftop, free parking, equipped w/everything you need, and very comfortable.It’s a short walk to everything in town and the hosts are super responsive. A all around. Sandy Beach is quiet all day and even on weekend nights is not really party central EXCEPT….Unfortunately for everyone staying right in the middle of town, an open air bar brings in the most egregiously horrible cover bands and cranks the volume to 10. If you were dying to hear the worst possible rendition of “Don’t Stop Believin’” you’re in luck. Plenty of Puerto Rican beach towns have loud bars (have you been to Boqueron?) but they mainly feature salsa or reggaeton and they’re quieter on weeknights. This bar hires tuneless screeching “bands” that will have you wishing they’d just do karaoke with drunk frat bros — and they play EVERY NIGHT. We arrived on a Monday night to suffer through a 3.5 hour set that finally ended about midnight.This is not the fault of the Beach Pad team and closing all doors and windows and cranking the AC goes some distance towards drowning out the dreck but it’s a real shame since the cross ventilation at night is divine and falling asleep listening to the surf is what beach towns should be about.So, by all means stay here but bring ear plugs.

We bought a house in Rincón where Alan's mother and grandmother were both born. He only had early childhood memories from Rincón but after we went to visit we just couldn't stay away from the stunning beaches and amazingly open and kind locals. Every time we would visit we became more convinced that this was our little slice of paradise. Owning and running our home in Rincón is truly a dream come true for us and we are determined to being the very best hosts possible.
