About this property
Muskoka Cottage with a Sandy Beach
Our family welcomes people from all walks of life to enjoy a stay on beautiful Grandview Lake. We have a private sandy beach. The lake water is crystal clear and perfect for swimming and water sports. There is a large dock for hanging out by the lake and a floating dock for diving and jumping. After a fun day in the sun enjoy roasting marshmallows around the camp fire.
Note that July and Aug are 7 ngt min. We prefer Saturday to Saturday but have some flexibility.
There is a $1000 damage deposit to be paid 30 days prior to your arrival date. The deposit will be fully refunded if the cottage is left in the condition you found it in. Any extra cleaning or damages will be taken out of the deposit. There is a rental agreement to sign as well.
The cottage sleeps 8. There are 4 bedrooms. One with a queen, one with a double, two rooms have bunk beds (one is a single over double bunk) and there's a double in the upstairs foyer (has privacy drapes).
We have a private sandy beach that is a set of stairs down from the cottage (beach access also down the driveway (no stairs).
The lake water is crystal clear and refreshing in the summer months. From the beach it's a shallow, sandy walk out perfect for kids or lounging with your feet in the water.
There's a large "L" shaped dock where your group can catch some rays or you can sneak out with a cup of coffee in the morning and watch the sun rise through the mist.
There is a canoe and a paddle boat for touring the usually peaceful lake. We have lots of PFDs as well.
The driveway doubles as a boat launch, so if you have your own craft you are welcome to bring it along. The sand is soft so a 4x4 is required.
There is an enclosed porch that is all screened windows that's great for sitting at night or when it's pouring rain. It's also a great space for playing cards or board games.
My parents and grandparents purchased the property in 1976. At that time it was just a shack with barn doors. Over the years it has evolved into what it is now and we are happy to share it with you.
We supply dish cloths, dish towels and hand towels. Guests are required to supply their own bed linens and pillow cases.
We are supplying camp fire wood this year.
Our house rules: primary renter must be 25 or older, no smoking, no parties or events, pets permitted.
Bookings for July and August are 7 night minimum stays. We prefer Saturday to Saturday but have some flexibility depending on the week.
