About this property
Airey's Treehouse - Surrounded By Native Gardens
Its all about the vibe at this relaxed cedar beach beauty, nestled amongst the trees with sweeping views across the valley and Painkalac Creek below. This hidden gem is the ideal antidote for adults who want to be surrounded by nature, bird song and wildlife.
The layout comprises a large living area with a slow combustion fire for the cooler months with an adjoining sun drenched north facing deck. The floor to ceiling windows offer leafy bush views, as does the open plan kitchen area. A second deck also has valley views where you can cook on a modern gas BBQ.
The large master bedroom with a queen size bed also looks out across the valley and leads to a double entrance bathroom. A hallway then leads you to a separate toilet, a second bedroom with a double bed and a sunroom with a queen size pull out bed.
The property is one of the rare cedar wood originals, built post 1980 and has been tastefully maintained and furnished. Breakfast and coffee on the main deck in the morning sun, to drinks and dinner as the sun goes down or simply relax anytime with a good book on either of the two decks or the semi enclosed veranda.
The famous Lighthouse is a stunning landmark with its nearby cafe and their much-loved Devonshire teas. The local shops offer all you need in the way of a General Store, the Strapper surf store, local cafes and a bookshop. There are also many gastronomic delights to be savoured at A La Grecque, Little Feast and the well-known Aireys Pub.
The surrounding area is one of great natural beauty, looking across the valley to the horses and kangaroos roaming alongside Painkalac Creek to the hills of the Otway National Park. There are numerous walking tracks in the local bush and along the cliff tops and of course who can forget the local beaches? From surfing and fishing the many surf beaches, to wading in the shallows or exploring the rock pools. Airey's is the jewel in the crown of the Surf Coast.
