The house itself was wonderful with great views. It also had a very well stocked kitchen with everything needed for cooking and serving meals. We all definitely enjoyed the stay and will stay there again.
Beautiful setting. Loved it. Furniture is not comfortable at all but we read the reviews ahead of our stay and we brought blankets and big comfy pillows. Kitchen is very well equipped. Funky relaxing vibe. Would book it again. Thank you.
Such a beautiful home with an incredible view. Loved the beach front. I hope to visit again.

A bit of heaven
I have stayed here 5 other times as I love the location, beach access, privacy and ability to bring my dog. The Marrowstone community has kept its charm since our first visit to the island in 1980. Convenience as a home base is ideal.
Can’t beat the view. Right on the water, easy access to beach.

Amazing view, fun stay
This was an unforgettable stay. We enjoyed the deck and the incredible views, made dinners together in the well appointed kitchen, and the youngest among us played the piano every day. We walked the beach, cooked steaks on the grill, and drifted off to sleep to the sound of lapping waves. We can't wait to come back!

We love this piece of paradise.
Spacious house, tastefully decorated and views that are breathtaking of our Puget Sound. Our 2nd time here, can't wait to come back.
Thank you!!
Great views of Admiralty Inlet at the start of Puget Sound. Quiet country location, a little dusty and rustic inside but all necessities for the family.

Relaxing
Great spot tucked away-I am reluctant to say too many great things because it was harder to book dates for this year!
Scanning the horizon for wildlife and boats is our favourite. The northern lights made an appearance during our stay and at one point it looked like a rainbow was shooting out of Mt Baker and reflecting across the ocean at us.
I can’t wait to come back!

Little remote if you are heading to the rain forest or other locations on the Olympic Peninsula, but nice house and awesome location on the water. Super peaceful. Really enjoyed the eclectic décor and doing research on the prior owner/artist. You can tell it was owned by an artistic personality. If you want a spacious home with amazing views, this is for you.

Great View, Needs some upgrades
Unbeatable view. Many beautiful authentic mid century pieces of furniture in this artist’s home but some of them should be reupholstered or replaced as they are quite dirty and in some cases not functional any more.

Quiet Retreat
This is a little drive off the beaten path and not within Port Townsend itself, but it had everything my family needed. Managed to do a little work in the upper office, yoga on the little wooden deck overhanging the ocean, beach walks, and plenty of time staring out the windows.
We would plan to cook more at home next time, as the kitchen is very well-equipped. We also brought binoculars, as you will want to be searching for wildlife and trying to read the names on the boats.
Thank you!
This is a truly beautiful property! Located right on the water, both floors offer breathtaking views. It is decorated beautifully with lots of artistic touches and offers a fully-stocked kitchen, lovely master suite, and even a separate studio that has its own kitchen and bathroom. The only issue we had is that it wasn't very clean - neither bathroom had been cleaned very well and there was a bit of a musty smell. Also - just note that if you do have young kids, the stairs down to the water are quite steep and include a platform near the bottom that has no ledge.

Beautiful home and view
We had a great weekend at the Artist’s House. The view and beach access were some of the best parts, including eating meals outside.
The house is incredibly well equipped, especially the kitchen. There was every type of cooking tool you could even imagine needing and there was a huge array of dish-ware. The rest of the house had plenty of towels, outdoor towels, outdoor blankets, deck chairs, etc. There was nothing else we needed!
It did take us a minute to figure out where to dispose of the trash/recycling. For those that come after us and read this review, there is a woodshed building in the garden that has bins of trash, recyclables (plastic/cans/cardboard), and glass.
We had such a lovely time and will happily come back.
This is a lovely property in an amazing setting. We were there in 25-degree weather and snow-covered streets so getting out and about was not much of an option. Luckily, the property is very comfortable and the views are stunning from the huge front windows. We just hunkered down and enjoyed watching the ships pass. It is furnished with beautiful mid century modern furniture and amazing art and sculptures on every wall. I especially like the pieces in the bedroom upstairs. Really, a nice place to stay. I only gave 3 stars for the communication because there really wasn't anyway to contact the property owner. We had an issue with a space heater and a flipped fuse - luckily, we were able to find the circuit box on our own as there was no way to contact the property manager outside of emailing/calling Vacasa.

Incredible view…terrible housekeeping
We rented this home for the weekend of my daughter’s wedding. By the end of the weekend, I was getting used to the quirkiness and figuring out all of the light switches. The view is incredible and being able to wake up to the sunrise daily and beachcomb was awesome. The downside is that the house was dirty. The sheets on the upstairs bed were dirty with hair and grass on them. When we walked into the house, there were Cheetos on one of the side tables and on the floor. I slid out the microwave to get something that had dropped behind and it was so dirty I just left what had fallen back there. It was just generally dirty which was really unfortunate. I would stay again but I would come with my own bedding and prepared to clean.

Pretty good if you like the sun
This was a great spot to get out of town and have some solitude. The views will consume a lot of your time.
This property popped up as Port townsend accommodation with our google search. We were a bit surprised at how far it was, but it was such a treat! Otters having breakfast, sea lions, seals, hummingbirds, and warm sunny days. The ships passing through were also a big excitement for our kids. We really didn’t want to leave, and hope to come back!
The kitchen is also very well-equipped and the whole place had a great feel. We didn’t discover the separate suite until our last day, but would to have needed anyway. The stairs are pretty rustic and we had to keep stressing to our kids to walk slowly and hold the railings.
