Casita los Guanábanos is a small house that cares for, respects, values and treasures the local flora and fauna in a pleasant, warm and harmonious space.
Guanábanos is a unique and very unique house, combining the appearance of mud in its floors, the traditional smithy of Mexico and the typical palapas of the Mexican Caribbean, with some modern touches.
Elements that harmoniously combined give an air of rest and comfort that we look for when we go on vacation. It has a natural ventilation thanks to its large windows and its perfect orientation, which allows the air from the sea to cross freely throughout the house.
Perhaps the aspect that gives it more freshness and romanticism, are its original trees of the jungle that embrace the house, adorn the place and are the home and protection of endemic birds such as chachalacas, woodpeckers, finches, zalates and many other colorful birds.
Some of those trees are very peculiar. In one of them, a cuatí has its nest of rest and with a bit of luck, it is possible to see it at some times of the year between the branches and on the walls of the property; There is also a Chechen and a Chaca, Maya endemic trees. The tea leaves of one (chaca), represents the healing for the burns that the other produces (chechen) on contact with the skin, and of course two young guanábanos (guanábana is a super exotic Mexican fruit of great sweetness and a touch of acidity) of which in his honor we named the property.
Casa Guanábanos is fully equipped and decorated in an eclectic style very well balanced, which transmits an atmosphere of warmth of home. It has 2 rooms and each one has its own bathroom, one of the rooms has a balcony towards the backyard where there is a moon bath (outdoor shower) between the branches of a tree to cool off in the open air.
On the ground floor is located the house, a small porch, kitchen open to the dining room, front vertical garden, a third half bathroom visits, rear terrace, a parking place, plus a couple of bicycles. The property is located within a private subdivision, Balamtun (meaning jaguar cave in the Mayan language).
This fractionation has surveillance 24 hours a day and despite being located around subdivisions and luxury hotels, retains the air of carefreeness and warmth typical of the city of Playa del Carmen, with colorful houses, lush gardens and tree-lined paths where they coexist local and foreign inhabitants in a typical, warm, very picturesque and very calm and safe environment. It has services around the fractionation such as laundry, restaurant and supermarket, ATM, public transport routes; etc.
