Other things to note

This is not a place to rent if you wish to be social and invite friends over to hang out, before going out, or after going out after the bars are closed. This is more for the business travelers and vacationers who plan to be out exploring most of the time and using the apt as a place to sleep.
I say this for the although its a complete remodel the building itself it Is from the 1950s, and there is real hardwood floor so sound/noise travels and there are three other Airbnb rentals and usually the building is full.

Welcoming and accommodating host. Heater worked perfectly during the Dallaska storm! Great location and well-appointed unit.Only small issue was the noise from hardwood floors in the upper unit waking us up occasionally.

We stayed in unit D on the ground level which was very convenient since it was my elderly mom and I. The location was perfect! My brother and his wife live just three blocks away and my niece and her husband live one block away. This unit suited all of our needs!We did have one hiccup. Our first morning there a tree was being removed next door and a tree branch came crashing through the kitchen window of our unit. Fortunately the owner took my immediate call and his wife came right over to offer us a new unit across the hall. The crew taking down the tree cleaned up the inside and also installed a new window that same day so we did not have to move. All was good!If I had to be picky, the rug under the bed is quite stained and should be cleaned or replaced. We would stay here again!! Thank you.
