PET FRIENDLY OCEAN FRONT 1/2 Duplex!! 3 bedroom, 2 bath oceanfront 1/2 duplex with expanded decks. Interconnecting doors make this home perfect for those wanting to be "together but separate" . Bedding is 1 Queen, 2 Doubles and 1 Twin. Stackable washer/dryer. Charcoal grill. ***LINENS ARE PROVIDED FROM Mid Spring thru Mid Fall. (May 10-Sept 13 weeks) (FULL WEEKS, FULL PRICE ONLY).**** Pet friendly with 2 pets maximum. $100 non-refundable pet fee (small to medium size) per pet. Rents Saturday to Saturday. Gas grill provided - gas tenant responsibility. New decking faces ocean and parking under house. Fish cleaning station under home also. Very pretty part of the beach! Rents Saturday to Saturday. Smoking permitted on the deck.

Emerald Isle offers Family fun for everyone....with bike and jogging trails that run parallel to Emerald Dr, miniature golf, go carts, water slide, great shopping in Emerald Plantation, movie theater, restaurants that include everything from pizza to burgers to Seafood. The Bogue Inlet Pier is a must see to find out what the "catch of the day" is. If you just need to relax, pull up a chair and enjoy the ocean waves while reading a good book. We've got you covered. Emerald Isle also offers a Public Boat Ramp (no fees) located at Jean Preston Park about mid way the island. (near Chapel By the Sea). There is a play ground and public restroom located there as well. We have multiple kayak launch areas and parks within the city limits, including a Sound front park with dock located on Coast Guard Road and one on Cedar St. (great to go crabbing at) You may also enjoy Surf Fishing all along the 12 mile stretch of our beautiful island. We have a Fishing Gear store and several Convenient Stores that offer bait, hooks and other fishing items you will need. Don't forget you need a Fishing License to Surf Fish but can enjoy fishing from the Bogue Inlet Fishing Pier by purchasing a fishing pass for the day or week. Check out our new grocery store Publix located beside Emerald Plantation or Snapper's Restaurant (used to be Jordan's Seafood) while here also! We offer lots of information about the area in our lobby that you may pick up at check in or during the week while you are here. Family vacation

AC broke while we were there. We called century 21. They had someone out to fix it the next morning. No complaints there. The hallway bathroom wreaked of urine. We tried cleaning but it didn’t help. The smell was stronger after flushing. We didn’t complain about this until check out. Hopefully it will be resolved prior to next rental.

Disaster of a week staying in this place. Ever seen the John Candy movie “Summer Rental?” That was this place. Booked for week of 4th of July. Drove all day to get there and got a call from the property management company literally 5 minutes before pulling onto the island to tell us “bad news, the air conditioning is broken and it will be a couple of days before it’s fixed.” They told us they’ve already looked for other places to put us but the entire island is booked solid. So it’s either turn around and go home and abandon our summer vacation plans or sweat it out for a couple of days in the brutal July heat. So we stayed. It was sweltering. Two days go by, no AC repair. The unit looked like it was way past needing replacing so not surprised it was broken. No word from the property management company. No apologies or even a peep from the owner. You see where this is going. The AC was never repaired. I wondered how long it had been broken. Did the renters the week before us experience the same thing? Neither the property management company nor the owner ever proactively reached out to us to check in or give us updates. We had to call them or go to their office and they never gave us a straight answer. They were very happy to take our money, but when we asked for a refund they refused because they said we had the option to leave as soon as we found out the AC was broken but we elected to stay....even though we were misled to believe it would be repaired “in a couple of days.” We’ve gone to Emerald Isle for years and have always used a competing rental company for a house. The customer service experience was vastly different. AC went out one year and they brought us window units until it was fixed the next day. We got a call from the owner who apologized profusely. The owner checked in on us from time to time and the property management people bent over backwards for us. We’ve requested to speak to this owner of this place several times and he won’t respond to us, instead communicating through his poorly run property management company. Advice to others looking at this property...keep looking. VRBO, please reconsider doing business with these people. It reflects poorly on you. I’ve used your service several times and this experience was a disaster compared to the others.
