We really enjoyed Sandra's cozy set up at Red Wolf Lodge. The door is literally right in front of Red Dog ski lift. It's clean, easy, convenient, and Sandra was lovely to interact with. Can't wait to stay there again!
All the decor / amenities are standardized in the Red Wolf Lodge units so you get the regular Red Wolf experience right next to the Red Dog lift. Note this 2nd floor unit is on the end by the stairs, which means it is smaller than other 1-bedroom units in the middle. I've stayed in both and honestly if you'd never been in the larger ones, you wouldn't necessarily think it's cramped. But versus the larger 1-bedroom units, the bedroom lacks a full closet, the main room is more compressed with less floor space, the kitchen table is smaller, and there is less storage space in the closet. The kitchen is fine -- equipped with the usual condo-quality accessories and appliances. Four of us stayed five nights, cooked many meals and had a great time. The Red Wolf Lodge staff is excellent.
Amazing location. I loved being ski in ski out, hot tub next to chairlift, easy walk to village/gondola, and unit was perfect for our family. I also appreciated use of the clubhouse in early mornings so I could work without disturbing my family. I would definitely stay there again.
Location on the first floor had great access to the slopes and the hot tub.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
Disliked: Listing accuracy
During ski season, this otherwise-nice place is too noisy.
Squaw Valley's slopes are adjacent and after dark until 3 a.m. it was diesel engines running grooming equipment up and down the face. The walls and windows need to get better sound insulation and what's worse is that the bedroom is on the building corner directly facing the loud noise. 12/26/2020
This was our first time staying at Red Wolf Lodge (RWL). We enjoyed a corner unit with Mountain View. A true ski in / ski out property, RWL is an easy walk to ski lifts / Funitel / Tram & The Village Shops & Restaurants. We cooked most meals in a well-appointed kitchen & even cooked a large meal for 3 families in the spacious Clubhouse Kitchen. We enjoyed the clean outdoor hot tubs & the equally clean dry sauna in the Clubhouse. We look forward to our next stay at Red Wolf Inn!
