Dear guests, our spacious, well maintained and tastefully furnished apartment is in a calm, central located villa from 1926. It is ideal to accomodate groups and families with up to 5 persons.
The house and the apartment represent a modern standard combined with the charm of a historic building.
The apartment is on the 2nd floor, with 80 sqm it offers lots of space. One sleeping room has a double bed and a single bed, the second sleeping room has 2 separate single beds. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-supply (oven, microwave, cooker, fridge, coffee machine, dishes, dish washer). The bathroom has a bathtub for bathing and showering and a washing machine. The living room and kitchen are oriented to the south-west and get lots of daylight. We provide Cable tv, DVDs and books as well as internet access (wifi) for your entertainment.
Our house is in a calm side street in a neighborhood called "Heidelberg Weststadt". Many houses in the area are art nouveau and art déco style (like our house). Sights, restaurants, stores and the adjoining woodland can be reached quickly by foot and public transport. The stop for local trains, trams and busses is close to our location. We are only one stop away from Heidelberg main station and old town.
Towels and linen are included. Parking permits can be booked optionally at 5 € per car and night / 25 € per car and week. Parking is on the street, no fixed parking. The permits can be paid cash on arrival.
We also have 2 attics with 50 sqm for rent. Each attic has space for 4 persons. We are living in the same house and will try to help you with any question. On arrival we have a brochure for you with detailed information about the apartments, the surrounding area and public transport.

We stayed for more than a month, Marco was very welcoming and helpful throughout, going out of his way to accommodate our family. The flat is lovely, very comfy, wuthering nice views and it's a terrific part of town with excellent playgrounds, restaurants and access to woods and transport.
Das Haus ist hervorragend und die Lage ist ausgezeichnet. Man kommt überall gut zu Fuß hin. Der Bus hält auch vor der Tür. S-Bahn ist direkt um die Ecke. Sehr zu empfehlen mit Kindern, da in direkter Nähe ein toller Spielplatz ist.
Alles war absolut sauber und gut eingerichtet. DANKE
Wir haben den Aufenthalt in der Wohnung sehr genossen. Die Wohnung ist geräumig, sauber und gemütlich. Es ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Die Lage in Heidelberg ist hervorragend, die Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Bäckereien, Restaurants ... in der Nähe sind super.
War alles zu unserer Zufriedenheit. Sehr schöne gemütliche, top ausgestattete Wohnung. Einkaufen und Essen in direkter naher Umgebung. Top Adresse für einen Heidelberg Besuch.
Wunderschöne Wohnung, geräumig und hell, sehr gute Ausstattung, gut strukturierter und netter Vermieter. Optimal. Waren zum 2. Mal dort und werden gerne wiederkommen. Wir lieben Altbau, aber wer empfindlich ist gg knartzende Böden und eine gewisse Hellhörigkeit, der sollte besser auf diesen Charme verzichten anstatt später negativ zu bewerten, das ist eben so. Vieles ist fussläufig in 20-40 Min oder mit dem Bus erreichbar. Reiseführer liegen en masse in der Wohnung. Die Vollkornbäckerei Mahlzahn ist fast gegenüber und sehr zu empfehlen.
Die Wohnung war für unsere Bedürfnisse gut ausgestattet. Freundlichen schriftlichen Verkehr mit den Vermietern. Leider knarzt der Boden sehr stark, so dass man jeden Tritt hört. Eine Beschreibung der Parkmöglichkeit im Voraus wäre toll gewesen. Es hat allerdings in der Nähe zwei Parkmöglichkeiten in der blauen Zone zum Ein- und Ausladen des Gepäcks. Gemütlich eingerichtetes Wohnzimmer mit vielen Büchern!

Der Parkettboden ist noch original. Das Knarren lässt sich nicht vermeiden, außer wir würden den Boden entfernen und den damit den Charakter des Altbaus "zerstören".
Alle unsere Gäste erhalten mit der Buchungsbestätigung eine ausführliche Beschreibung der Anreisemöglichkeiten, inklusive den Parkmöglichkeiten. Eventuell wurde dies bei der Buchung übersehen.

Sehr gepflegte und helle Altbauwohnung in einer Art déco Villa aus den 20er Jahren.
Die Wohnung ist sehr geräumig und bietet alles was man braucht. Ideale Lage in der Weststadt, ruhig und grün. Zentrum/Altstadt und Neuenheim/Neckarwiese/Philosophenweg ist alles fußläufig erreichbar. Sehr nette Vermieter!
Absolut empfehlenswert und wir kommen wieder!
Property is on a side street just off the Rohrbacherstrasse, a main street with noisy, heavy traffic and cars speeding up the Steigerweg. Parking was not easy to find and was a ways from the house.. It was a 20 minute walk to the Hauptstrasse and from there another 40 minute walk to the old town where the sights are. There is a walk into the hills and woods up the hill from the house, but at first the traffic is fast and noisy before getting to a side street. Directly across the busy Rohrbacherstrasse is a pleasant, quiet neighborhood with lots of children's playgrounds and a quiet outdoor cafe. The floor of the house squeaked loudly with each step and the interior was aged. There were comfortable new couches. The kitchen table was tiny and 5 of us could not sit there together for meals. The beds were clean and comfortable. Communication with the owner was excellent and clear - nice family and he speaks good English. The cleaning head on the vacuum - set for the parkee floor- was so worn that it didn't pick up much dirt and had to be manually cleaned every few sweeps to use. There was a radio, but it was broken. It was nice to have a wash machine available in the house. All in all I feel the house was very much over-priced for the value.

Some general remarks:
- Our house is from the 1920s with original parquet floor. Yes it squeaks, but that's the character of an old house and we don't want to destroy this.
- We encourage our guests to tell us when things are not working properly during their stay. Only then we can react immediately. We live in the same house and are approachable and happy to help. We also provide brochures to help our guests with the rather basic questions regarding the house and the neighborhood.
- The location is shown in our advert. The neighborhood is called Weststadt and one of the most popular areas in Heidelberg to live. It is 1 kilometer (0.7 miles, 15 minutes walking) to the beginning of the old town (Hauptstrasse), 1,5 kilometers (1 mile, about 20 minutes) to the philosophers´ walk, 2 km (1.3 miles, 30 minutes in total) to the old bridge. It is a good way to walk there and there are several options for public transport nearby (bus, tram, local trains, rental bikes). We are more than happy to help you to find the quickest way to get to these places.
- To get to the woodlands nearby, there is a nice walk through the mountain cemetery (Bergfriedhof) which is a recommended sight in many guidebooks, no need to walk along the street. We are more than happy to show directions.
- Traffic mainly occurs during working days between 8 and 9 am, as well as between 5 and 6 pm. Traffic is reduced to a speed of 30 km/h (20 miles per hour). Especially at night it is very calm. The apartment is on the 3rd level, quite some distance away from the street.
- Before arrival we provide detailed information how to find space for a car. Compared to the oldtown, parking spaces are available, though it might be 200 meters (0.1 miles) away.
- Guests staying with us value our location, as it's very quite compared to the noise from bars and pubs in the oldtown at night, easy to approach by car and public transport and one can get all necessities in a radius of 500 meters (0.3 miles).
Ersten ist die Wohnung vom Straßenverkehr sehr laut. Länger schlafen wie 6.30 nicht möglich. Die Lage zur Altstadt ist mit 20 Minuten zu Fuß ok. Die Wohnung ist groß und auch für 4 Personen geeignet. Der Fußboden (alte Dielen) ist ohne Knarren nicht begehbar,so konnte man leider ohne den anderen zu wecken nicht nachts die Toilette benutzen, auch am Tage war es sehr nervig. Für diesen Preis den wir bezahlten
empfanden wir die Ausstattung sehr dürftig. Noch nicht einmal eine Kaffeemaschine. Aus diesen Gründen würden wir die Wohnung nicht mehr mieten.

Vielen Dank für ihre Rückmeldung.
Unser Haus ist aus dem Jahr 1926, die Böden sind noch original. Um den Charakter des Altbaus nicht zu zerstören, haben wir uns bewusst entschieden, den Parkettboden zu belassen wie er ist.
Wegen des Lärms hatten wir uns ausdrücklich entschuldigt und tun dies auch hiermit nochmals:
Einmal im Jahr wird gegenüber vom Haus die Grünfläche geschnitten. Die Stadt kündigt uns leider nicht an, an welchem Tag dies geschieht. Wegen der frühen Uhrzeit bei der diesmaligen Pflege haben wir selbst Beschwerde bei der Stadt eingereicht.
Mittwochmorgens kommt die Müllabfuhr, daher leider zweimal hintereinander die morgendliche Störung.
Tut uns wirklich sehr leid.
Die Kaffeemaschine war defekt und wir mussten eine neue beschaffen. Als Zwischenlösung befindet sich in der Wohnung immer ein Kaffeefilter und eine Kanne.
Auf die Nachfrage bei ihnen, ob etwas fehlt, wurde verneint, es sei alles ok. Bitte informieren sie uns während des Aufenthalts, dann helfen wir gerne.
Für 2 Personen haben wir haben wir zwei deutlich günstigere Studios inseriert, die ebenfalls großzügig Platz bieten.

Lovely stay...the location is great
The property was clean and comfortable & it had the necessities. It could use a little bit of extras such as pillows and extra lighting to make it not so cold feeling. But overall it was a great place to stay. Marco was kind to get us parking passes. The Internet was in and out in strength which made it difficult to watch a movie on Netflix. We didn't speak German so had to find other entertainment.
However for national's there was an assortment of DVD'S and cable television. It's a lovely historical apartment and area.

Die Ferienwohnung ist sehr schön und komfortabel. Es war alles vorhanden, nur Handtücher waren etwas
wenig und Waschhandschuhe waren gar nicht vorhanden. Die Couch könnte erneuert werden, da diese sehr durchgessen ist.
Ansonsten war alles zu unser Zufriedenheit.

Für jeden Gast stellen wir 2 Handtücher bereit, die bei einem längeren Aufenthalt regelmäßig getauscht werden. Bei Nachfrage auch in kürzeren Abständen.
Waschhandschuhe stellen wir nicht zur Verfügung. Sie wurden bisher auch nicht nachgefragt.
Die blaue Couch in Wohnung 2 hat etwas weichere Polster.
In unserer Wohnung 3 stehen 2 Couches, mit einer weichen und einer harten Polsterung.

A very well presented home in a beautiful city!
We chose this apartment because it suited the needs of our family, having three teenage kids all needing their own bed and room. The apartment is large and airy with loads of space for a family. It was spotlessly clean and had good furnishings. Our hosts were lovely people and very helpful with recommendations. We enjoyed trying to understand the German TV programmes, having a basic school-taught smattering of the language. The apartment has books and DVDs to read/watch but we tended to be out most of the time or playing cards in the kitchen. One really nice thing that the hosts did provide was soap in the bathrooms and wash-up liquid at the sink. Often, these are not there and we end up buying it only to have to throw most of it away at the end of the week. The position of the apartment in Heidelberg is good for a number of reasons: easy to find in a car because it is not right in the centre; two minute walk from the tram/bus stop into to the city; good amount of parking around; minutes walk from a superb restaurant and bar. Marco recommended the restaurant at the corner which turned out to be fab (The Lowenkeller). We took the tram and the bus into Bismarkplatz where the shopping is (1.3 euro per journey) and walked our legs sore! Heidelberg is a beautiful city with lots to explore. Staying at Heidel Home was perfect for us, and, if we return to the city, we would happily stay there again. Just a note: if you have a car, save a day to go to Europa-Park in Rust, great theme park with something for everyone (1.5 hours drive south-west along the A5).

Wonderful location in Heidelberg
Our first time staying in an apartment instead of a hotel and we loved it. Heidel-Home provided everything they advertised with excellent accommodations, great location and parking and Wifi.The apartment was very clean and comfortable.
