A Real Hideaway! We enjoyed the gorgeous garden, the ambience of the courtyard, the comforts inside

It was worth staying in Brindi Hideaway for the homestyle comfort it offers. The Owners were always ready to help when needed. The food supplies were generous and varied. Our only problem was lack of public transport. Fortunately our grandson escorted us around in his car, without him we would have needed to use taxis. Our host generously drove us into Canberra to visit the Floriade, which was spectacular. We really appreciated his assistance. We were able to ring or message our hosts and received prompt responses to our queries. Having private transport would make this location very comfortable. As we were here for the weekend, the bus service was not available. It would probably be efficient during the week. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone in the future. It is comfortable, with a gorgeous courtyard surrounded by a potted garden. We requested BBQ meats and this was provided for us, so we were able to enjoy a BBQ in the beautiful surroundings of the courtyard. Absolutely lovely spot. I cannot speak highly enough of our hosts who were attentive and helpful. The property offers whatever is needed for a comfortable stay.

Nice place, great owner

This is by far the cleanest home stay I've seen. Alice has been wonderful in providing detailed instructions of the accommodation and is very nice to the kids. We also love the beautiful courtyard.

Comfortable Relaxing Hideaway

"Brindi Hideaway" was exactly as listed, everything was catered for beautifully. First morning brekky provisions and some unexpected little extras were a surprise and greatly appreciated. Beds were very comfortable and linen clean and fresh. Amongst various plants, and partially covered in, the courtyard was a place to relax and revive. Both Alice and Rob were outstanding hosts who care greatly that visitors enjoy the experience of "Brindi Hideaway". A very individual unit with unique decor made for a pleasant stay.

I have lived in this region for nearly 20 years now and love it, I love the open spaces, proximity to forests, mountains and rivers, and the fact we are a short dash to Sydney, but nevertheless enjoy a much more calm lifestyle away from too much traffic and the stresses and pressures of a big city.
I have enjoyed the experience of creating a holiday space which has all the features I like to enjoy when I travel, a place to relax, with privacy and security, the chance to cook if I wish to on longer stays. My partner and I have enjoyed hand- building alot of the features you will see, including the timber work on the gate, front door, the double bed- head which is made of Australian Native cypress, and shelving through the unit. All items may be made to order.
I am a textile artist and knitwear designer and manufacturer. I am happy to have guests tour the adjoining workshop and studio by appointment. Hand dyed fine merino wool scarves and clothing may be purchased or orders taken. Nullarbor Nights Knitwear has been an Australian manufacturer of fine clothing since 1991 and much of it has been taken or sent as gifts internationally, with sales in NY, San Francisco and Sweden

Why they chose this property

I was fortunate enough to acquire the property adjoining my Workshop where I was a tenant for many years

What makes this property unique

The position is unique in that it enjoys the benefits of being in a large NSW country town, whist being on the doorstep of Australia's capital city, Canberra, where indeed there are at times, kangaroos in the main streets!
