About this property

Surrounded by trees, moments from the beach, Walamba House is ideal for enjoying with friends or family. Savour complete privacy in a central location - close to the beach, cafe, arboretum, tennis courts, bush walks and more. Walamba House blends peace and tranquility with proximity and convenience perfectly.

Our home away from home has all the comforts you expect - wifi (NBN), air conditioning in every room, ceiling fans and a combustion fireplace with the fire set out and ready to light in winter.

Our beds and pillows are super comfy. Main room has a king size bed and ensuite, the front room has a queen size bed and the middle bedroom contains 2 single beds and a trundle. We have luxurious sheets, bedding and bath towels for all our guests. We have a portacot that fits into any of the rooms and we can also offer a bed guard for little ones transitioning to a big bed.

Our main bedroom has an ensuite and the main bathroom features a separate toilet. There is also an outdoor shower to clean off all the sand before coming inside.

The kitchen is set up for cooking - with a good supply of essentials including oil, gladwrap, foil, tea and coffee (and a little pod coffee machine) to help you settle in. We even offer a rice cooker and slow cooker - so you can really cook up a storm if you like.

The dining table is large and extends. Outdoors, our dining area comfortably sits 8. We have high chairs and a toddler chair for our smaller guests.

The laundry is fully decked out - washer and dryer, plus clothesline and smaller clothes horse. We supply detergent, stain removers and pegs etc.

Outdoors in the courtyard we have a large dining table and a modular lounge set which can transform into a relaxing daybed. There is a big BBQ - just watch out for the kookaburras when cooking!

There is space for everyone to spread out and relax. Find your favourite chair, and do as little as you like. We have lots of books in the house to browse and read.

We can also supply beach toys for the kids and have a couple of boogie boards - as well as other toys in the house, including a great doll house.

Ask us about staying mid week for the ultimate ‘work from home’ experience. It’s truly a relaxing and immersive place to get lots done away from the office. Spurring your creativity or the seclusion for deep concentration. You won’t want to leave at the end of the week. We can offer great mid week stay deals.

Why travel overseas?

Pearl Beach is fantastic. We especially loved the arboretum and the restaurant Amalfi, but also enjoyed strolling around the village and the beach, and a visit to Patonga. And to return each time to Walamba House was so good - a peaceful hideaway surrounded by native forest. We had everything we needed, except perhaps a potato peeler!

Tranquil weekender

Located next to quiet bushland yet only minutes to the beach, this house is in a perfect location. We liked the spaciousness of the living room and the comfortable dining area that easily accommodated our family of six. The kitchen is well equipped. There is also an undercover outside area with barbecue and a grassed fully fenced level backyard. We enjoyed our weekend in Walamba House.

Comfortable

Everything was as expected for our Pearl beach weekend away. The house was spacious and comfortable. A peaceful location with a forest outlook, yet at the same time, close to the shop, cafe and beach.

We are a family of 4 and love travelling - whether it's a night or two away during the year, or a trip overseas. Getting to see the way locals live, enjoying the sites, dining out and relaxing with a swim or walks are the best!

When hosting - we want guests to feel like they are in their home away from home. We know what we enjoy when we visit other destinations and appreciate the small touches and attention to detail that other hosts share with their properties. We hope to be able to offer the same attention to detail and welcoming atmosphere for our guests too.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with this property in Pearl Beach. It needed some love and attention - which we have been progressively doing over the years.

The house feels so secluded because it looks over a reserve and neighbours are invisible from most aspects of the house. However, the proximity to the cafe and general store, the beach, the arboretum, the rockpool is fantastic. We're so close to everything, it's a winning location.

We love the retro architectural design of this house, which was built in 1979. It's open and light and bright, and we feel relaxed as soon as we arrive.
