This cozy home is the perfect spot for four family members or two couples wanting an escape to the beach in Manzanita. Located just across the street from the Pacific, the home’s second-floor great room with floor-to-ceiling windows gives you panoramic ocean views in two directions. The contemporary furnishings in the clean, bright living room are complemented with a TV/VCR/DVD. The fully-equipped galley kitchen has ocean views and a dining table for four, but you may prefer to grill and eat outdoors on the wrap-around view deck! One queen bedroom and one full bedroom downstairs will bring you a good night’s sleep after your days walking the beach, which is accessible right out your door and across the street. Since you’re in Manzanita, you can also walk to town and enjoy restaurants and shops, and it’s an easy drive to Neahkahnie Mountain for hiking or Cannon Beach for gallery hopping. Grab your favorite friends and enjoy an easy, relaxing small-town stay at the beach!

Location was great, but the house itself was mediocre. No hands soap, no dish soap, no throw blankets. The main bathroom was not cleaned well - hairs, dust, a dirty bathmat and rug.

We love getting away to the beach ahead of the holidays. My work is tied to the season. We had a lovely stay. The location is great and close to the town center and beach. Accommodation was clean and cozy.

Great family stay

We really loved our stay at the house and look forward the the next stay. My wife, daughter, and I spent the week in Manzanita and wish we had more time. The house is set up nicely and well furnished, location is prime, and the access to the beach is so close. Highly recommended and will stay again.

Great home in Manzanita...

We enjoyed the Cozy Beach Castle. It was nice being in Manzanita in general, a nice cozy town with access to other towns (e.g., Seaside), beaches and activities, but a feel of being off the beaten path. Everything was as expected, communication with property manager was excellent.

We loved this place. Great Views, Comfortable bed, Kitchen very well stocked. Only down side was no cable and not a very good choice of movies, but we rarely watch tv so it was ok for us. We would definitely stay here again. Location to the beach and town was perfect for walking our dog.

60 th anniversary get away in a pet friendly unit

The place was clean and very nice. It provided the accommodation we needed for our 110 lb rottie . Great opportunity to have a place to relax in comfort.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The views from the upstairs are great. It's a little farther from the main drag in town than I realized when I booked it. But that also results in things being a little quieter, which is nice.

Relax time at Manzanita

The house was perfect. The bedrooms are downstairs , very comfortable. The only complaint was the chairs for the dining table are not very comfortable . But the kitchen was well supplied with good items that you want to cook with. We had a great time I would stay again . Very clean! Would prefer the old 11 am check out vs 10 am. That made for a quick morning exit. Thanks

This property is a darling spot for 2 or 4 people. We did have a negative experience.

No working wi-fi here and management said they couldn’t get ahold of the owner???? Do not rent this spot without making sure there is a new router in the home. Other than no wi-if it was very good.

Great place. Had everything. Easy space and close to beach.

Really had a great time. Just a few things. Checking in - code didn’t work. Had to call mgmt to give us new code. Took a few times to get it to work. Getting in front door took awhile to get key to turn. Once in we put oil in key lock to make it turn easily. Could use a new doorknob! Smoke alarm in hallway near kitchen kept going off while using oven despite no smokiness. Maybe battery dying. Otherwise, all was great!! We would return.

1.Where first told that the wood stov e would not be working. When we got there it was obvious the stove had not worked for quite some time2. There was no working heat in the upstairs, except for a small electric heater in the bathroom3. The storm door on the front door was so damaged that it would not work without banging or excessive pulling4. There was a dent in the bottom cover of the range.5. There was a cabinet door completely off the bathroom/laundry room done stairs.6. There had been some remedial repairs to the exterior shakes, a lot of work to still be done. There was still mold on some of the shakes. My wife and I both got sick when we got home. The Dr thought it might be from the mold around the house.This is not what we expect from VRBO or Meredith lodging . In addition to all of this it was very difficult to determine who we were actually renting from.I feel that’s a refund or credit is due us on this rental. Please respond to this review

Clean and close to the beach.

This property is very clean and the space was what I expected from the pictures. The house was nice for a weekend getaway, but it does a little maintenance We didn’t spend any time outside on the deck but if it had been summer or nicer outside I wouldn’t have felt comfortable hanging out on it. Several boards have been replaced but several more need to be replaced The grill was really dirty so we didn’t use it and the bicycle tires were flat. One more important note is that there are a lot of stairs up to the house’s main entrance and down to the bedrooms which may be difficult for anyone who is elderly has mobility issues. Overall, we had a comfortable stay in this clean comfortable home.

Beach Memories

Access to the beach is important. It had great access. The views were good. The golf course was right around the corner too. Nice little town. The only thing I didn't like was the couch. Thanks for the great memories.
