About this property

Modern holiday home in Prainha Village on the beach with pool + WiFi

From our modern, well-kept holiday home "Casa Prainha" it is only a 5 minute walk through the quiet and child-friendly resort to the fine sandy Algarve beaches with impressive rock formations. There are also 3 beautifully designed swimming pools (open from the beginning of April to the end of October) in our guarded resort. One of them is just around the corner, but not within earshot. The fantastic Atlantic pool with sea view in a terraced complex with beach bar is only a five minute walk away. Our holiday home has a small, sheltered garden with a well-kept terrace, sturdy garden furniture and a modern concrete barbecue fireplace (since February 2003) with a large stainless steel grate. We have equipped and maintained it with love and understanding to provide you a perfect holiday home: cosy sitting area with Smart TV, cable TV with 150 channels, WLAN (1000/200), dining area, well-equipped kitchen with lots of table and kitchenware and high-quality household appliances as well as children's high chair and bed. Upstairs are two suites with spacious built-in wardrobes and modern bathrooms. The resort has a small supermarket, a pizzeria (both open from the beginning of April to the end of October), a fine restaurant with sea view and nearby beach restaurants.
Sports: The resort has 1 padel court and 2 tennis courts, 1 multifunctional sports court, a large lawn field with volleyball net, 1 adventure children's playground with large trampoline and 1 children's playground for toddlers.

Prainha Alvor family holiday

Great base to start explore Alvor and the wider region. Property has 2 double rooms both en-suite. Small garden with a built in bbq but ideal for outdoor dining or just to sit out and have a cold drink. Access to all the amenities in Prainha resort was a big plus. Also 5 mins from the beach.

Quiet corner

Prainha is an older resort community with lots of charm that is very quiet in February. We enjoy the 1-2 km walk along the boardwalk into Alvor, a real gem in the Algarve. This unit has basic furnishings and amenities. Since we like to cook, we would have preferred a better provisioned kitchen, but it was adequate. The owner, Silke, and her agent in Alvor, Annie, were delightful and very helpful.

A fabulous location being a 5-minute walk to Tres Irmaoes Beach. Thank you for the water in the fridge and welcome bottle of wine.It would have been nice to know that EVERYTHING is closed until a week before Easter. We arrived using private transport and going to the store was a bit inconvenient. We were told that when we ran out of the 3 toilet rolls we were supposed to provide our own. I have never run into that concern in any VRBO rental previously. The unit was very cold upon arrival. It would have been nice to have it warmed up as it seemed the place had been unoccupied for some time. Windows are hard to open on upper floor right bedroom. Heater controls weren’t working appropriately and batteries were rusted . Also, after traveling all day , I was disappointed that sheets were stacked on bed and left as such for beds to be made by us. Never had to experience that too! It was really nice to have a washing machine, however, hard to dry clothes outside in March as it was still cool. Towels were threadbare and very coarse. One of the things we really enjoyed were the restaurants right off the beach and minutes away from the village. The kitchen appeared well stocked but we didn’t cook on our stay. Small espresso machine nice but we only had 4 pods for a Two person 4 night stay. Again, without transportation it was difficult to shop for minimal supplies. We were not prepared for a stay that is isolated without Prainha stores and or restaurants being opened.

We clearly inform that the resort facilities (pools, shop, restaurant, etc.) are only opened between early April and late October. We use to provide a start equipment including toilet paper, espresso coffee, soap, a bottle of water, etc. The air conditioning is working well if the batteries are inserted correcly into the remote control.

Best spot at Alvor

The location of the flat is within a quiet and secure holiday village. The nearby pool was just great for our kids (6+8). There's two more pools to use, one the marvelous Atlantic pool. The beach is just a 10min walk away and one of the best in this region. The little house has everything, two bathrooms, two bedrooms, a kitchen and a parlor room, ideal for four persons. Kitchen is well equipped and you can easily cook your own meals, market is nearby. Contact with Agency was easy and uncomplicated, even if you arrive late in the evening. Easy access with car and own parking slot. Can highly recommend this spot and house to families, who want to have good and own accommodation.

Strict minimum but ok

The location was nice and the pools awesome. The garden is ok but not much sun because of the high walls. The appartment it self is correct but there is nothing basic (no oil, no salt, no pepper, 1 toilet paper roll). Some of the glasses were cracked (dangerous). The lady who welcomed us could not describe the meeting point on the phone. We got to arrived earlier and leave our luggage’s, very nice !

We are sorry that we could not fully meet your expectations. Our basic equipment include a toilet roll and liquid soap in each of the three bathrooms and a bottle of water to quench your thirst upon arrival. We send our guests arrival instructions with the meeting point in advance. Describing this meeting point to people who don't know Alvor is not so easy.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in dem Ferienhaus sehr genossen. Das Haus ist sehr geräumig und bestens ausgestattet – in der Küche fehlt es an nichts (von ausreichend Geschirr und Kochutensilien bis hin zu Gewürzen), und es ist sogar an Dinge gedacht, die man sonst oft selbst kaufen muss: große Vorräte an Toilettenpapier, Seife, Geschirrspültabs und weiteren nützlichen Kleinigkeiten. Die drei Klimaanlagen sorgen an heißen Tagen für angenehme Temperaturen, und sogar Strandspielzeug, Strandtücher sowie praktische Einbauschränke in den Schlafzimmern sind vorhanden.Die Lage im ruhigen Feriendorf ist ideal: Restaurants, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, traumhafte Strände und Pools sind alle fußläufig erreichbar. Auch schöne Spaziergänge in der Umgebung sind möglich. Besonders angenehm war, dass die Vermieterin jederzeit schnell und zuverlässig auf Nachfragen reagiert hat und uns den Aufenthalt sehr erleichtert hat. Das Haus ist stellenweise leicht abgewohnt, was den Gesamteindruck jedoch nicht wesentlich schmälert. Insgesamt ein toller Ort für einen entspannten Urlaub – wir kommen gerne wieder!

Sehr schöner Familienurlaub

Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit in Prainha. Die Anlage ist sehr süß und ideal für Kleinkinder mit den Spielplätzen, der großen Wiese, den Pools direkt in der Nähe der Casa und dem traumhaften Atlantik Pool. Die Strände sind zu Fuß auch mit Kinderwagen sehr gut zu erreichen. Unser Favorit ist der Praia direkt neben der Beach Bar Sol y Sombre. Wir können die Casa aufjedenfall weiterempfehlen und würden sehr gerne wiederkommen.

Férias tranquilas

Excelente casa para quem quer ter umas férias tranquilas, com tudo o que é necessário e muito confortável. A casa está inserida num aldeamento muito tranquilo, junto à praia e com uma das piscinas do aldeamento na rua ao lado. Fácil comunicação com o anfitrião e com a gestora da casa. Viajámos com os nossos 3 filhos e o anfitrião disponibilizou um colchão adicional no quarto.

Perfekter Aufenthaltsort zur Erkundung der Algarve

Wir haben das Haus dort sehr genossen, haben alles vorgefunden was wir benötigten. Sogar ein Babybett und Hochstuhl wurde uns zur Verfügung gestellt. Haben uns in der Anlage wohl gefühlt, die 3 Pools waren im Mai noch etwas frisch aber eine super Auswahl und wenig Betrieb, so dass wir über all ungestört waren und von dem Haus aus unsere Erkundungstouren starten konnten. Vielen Dank, gerne wieder!

Super Feriendomizil in Alvor

Das Ferienhaus entsprach genau der Beschreibung; es ist sauber und modern eingerichtet. Meine Erwartungen wurden voll erfüllt. Annie Verschuur, die Servicekraft vor Ort, war sehr freundlich und kompetent. Bettwäsche und Handtücher wurden wöchentlich gewechselt, was in vielen Ferienhäusern nicht üblich ist. Das Haus befindet sich am Ortsrand von Alvor in einer ruhigen Ferienanlage, in Strandnähe gelegen. Ich komme garantiert baldmöglichst, und dann nicht allein, wieder in dieses schöne Feriendomizil.

Why they chose this property

After a couple of wonderful family holidays in Alvor, the last ones spent in Prainha Village, we decided in 2010 to fulfil our dream and buy this holiday house. We furnished and equipped it with the aim to have everything there that contributes to relaxed holidays.

What makes this property unique

We chose our house because of its perfect location. Prainha Village is quiet and calm, secure, never overrun and very, very green. Our house is situated near to one of the pools - much to the joy of our children - without being influenced by it. The walk through the resort to - for us - the most beautiful beaches of the Algarve is a pleasure. Alvor is a lovely village where we always like to come back to. In the surroundings are so many things to visit and to discover.
