We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Age ranges from 2-73 and everything in between. The only issue we had with check in/door code was the code we were to use did not work consistently during our stay. But when we called to address the issue, Lindsey was prompt, apologetic and able to remedy the issue in a timely manner; even when we called later (almost 10pm) at night. Great property, great location, pontoon added to the adventure, We'll be back!
House was very clean and comfortable. Only four in our group but well laid out for large groups and rainy days with games in the basement. Kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans. You will have to bring any food or spices that you plan on using. Pier was set up nice to tie up our boat.
Great location and beautiful view for a family ice fishing and ice skating weekend. Plenty of table space for cards/games. Kitchen had everything we needed. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out and beds for heads.
We planned a family snowmobile trip here. The trail access is very close to ride to St Germain, Eagle River, Arbor Vitae etc. Restaurant directly across the lake with great food (Pitlik's Resort). Only one snowmobile trailer in the driveway, but close parking for additional trailers. Would def stay here again. Hostess (Lindsey) answered phone right away for questions we had.
We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the property was super and there was a truly spectacular view of the lake, which was now covered and frozen. Highly recommend this property.
Beautiful view! Enjoyed the scenery and the baby eagles on the lake. Rented the pontoon boats and enjoyed the rides throughout the lakes and the sandbar on Dam Lake.
Everything was great. Fantastic house with everything we needed for a fun weekend at the lake. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well appointed, grill and fire pit were convenient for outdoor time. Very peaceful location.
Our family had a great time here. The place was what we needed for 9 adults ! All the beds were comfortable and the place was clean!! Downtown Eagle River was a quaint little town and the Minoqua area was great as well. We saw the lumber jack show and went to a great place called Forestry Tap and Axe for some fun adult games and beer…
The views from the living room and loft are fantastic. Floor to ceiling windows make for a great experience. The fireplace was an amazing addition for a romantic weekend. All amenities were supplied and we needed nothing! 10 out of 10 would stay again!
My family loved our stay at the Dam Lake Cottage! It was very easy to check in. The host was very responsive and very easy to communicate with! We rented the boat for the time we were there and it was very worth it. The cottage was so clean! We would definitely go back!
My family has been visiting this cabin for a number of years now and we always have a wonderful, relaxing time. We enjoy cruising the chain of lakes on the pontoon boat, kayaking along the undeveloped areas, watching loons in the early mornings or eagles soaring overhead during the day. We'll be back!

Comfortable and Quiet
We had a great stay at this comfortable home on Dam Lake. The lake is beautiful, the home comfortable, and has plenty of sleeping accommodations. The house isn’t far from in town amenities but is situated in a quiet forested area that offers the solitude of the north woods. There are neighbors close by, but people were friendly and quiet. We saw several eagles, one flew right through the yard. Also, offers plenty of dark night skies for stargazing. We would stay here again.

Mediocre Rental
Didn't realize the houses would be right next to each other...we were looking for more seclusion...none of the pictures show this...both bathroom sinks were plugged...windows were dirty...no batteries in clocks...porch and storm door needs to be replaced...gave a very poor first impression...
The house was very spacious, and all the items for our stay were supplied...it would be really nice and helpful if there was a packet listing places to eatand things to do in the area, as well as nearest medical facilities, etc.

Hi Sonja, thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad you found the house spacious and well-stocked for your stay. The homeowner has reviewed your comments and wanted to clarify a few things for future guests:- This property is part of a condo association, so there are neighboring homes nearby. We apologize if this wasn’t clear from the listing photos, and we are available to answer any questions about the property setup prior to booking.- We apologize for the inconvenience with the sinks. We have scheduled a plumber to address this right away to ensure they’re functioning properly for future guests.- We are coordinating with the cleaning team to address the windows and plan to assess the porch and storm door for any necessary repairs.- For clarification, the clocks in the home are decorative pieces and do not require batteries. Additionally, there is a binder on the table with information on local dining, activities, and nearby medical facilities. We encourage guests to reach out if they need assistance locating this resource. We appreciate you bringing these items to our attention. Your insights help us maintain a welcoming and comfortable space for all our guests. Thanks again for your feedback and safe travels!

Mixed feelings
The house was beautiful and well maintained. We were given a minimum of bath towels, hand towels and washcloths for the number of guests. We were a party of eight. There were no kitchen dish cloths and dishtowels and we had to purchase some in town to take care of dishes, pans that could not be done in the dishwasher. Also had to provide our own toilet paper and kleenex. The information provided said there was a teapot. There was no teapot but a tea kettle to heat water. A teapot is used to steep tea in hot water by the potful.Thankfully there was laundry equipment to wash towels as needed. The lake was beautiful but there are leeches even if you wear water foot gear. The weather was cool and rainy for all but 2 days but there was a wide range of activities in the area to keep all of us busy and entertained.

The pet house
The view of the lake is awesome, but the house lacked cleanliness when you first arrive the front porch railing leans to the right. Then when you open the door and walk in between the smell of pet dander and the bounce sheets is very overwhelming. Then you move into the kitchen and the stove was totally disgustingly dirty and the outside of the refrigerator was filthy the cupboards were not washed off were you open them. We were sitting on the couch watching TV we kept smelling dog food. My husband moved the couch and there was about a cup of dog food under the couch and a lot of dust and dog hair. The windows were filthy they had foot and nose prints on the patio doors. The moldings on the right patio door were shot and was very hard to open. I emailed the hostess and she said she would notify the cleaning team. From talking to the neighbors, the owners don't really care so for the money we paid for the rental for a week I think it should be cleaner than it was. So, if you have pets or no allergies from pets you would probably enjoy renting a pet house. Thats why I would give it a poor rating.

- We apologize for the cleanliness issues you encountered, particularly the pet dander, refrigerator, and dog food under the couch. Besides the dirty stove, these issues were not reported after frequent exchanges with our guest contact.

Thank you for sharing your review. Your feedback assists us in understanding a guest's perspective and improving wherever possible.
Had a wonderful family trip ! Everything about the house was great . Pontoon was nice, beautiful lake. Love the lake view . Would definitely recommend it.
The home was clean with nice calming decor and comfortable beds in the bedrooms. The property was well taken care of and includes most of the essentials, though you’ll likely need to restock. Neighbors are close by, but they mostly keep to themselves and are friendly. We loved the black-out shades in the bedrooms and the abundance of games and movies for rainy days. Fishing wasn’t the best for us, but we loved the pontoon boat rental and cruising the lake while watching sunsets and listening to the loons. Also loved watching an Eagle flying about quite often. Our family very much enjoyed our comfortable stay and recommend this beautiful home to other families seeking relaxation and a family bonding experience!

Terrific lake vacation house
This was a great house for our group. It easily slept 10 with room to spare. The interior was nicely decorated and spacious and very clean. The kids loved the air hockey in the basement. Outdoors was a great shady area that slopes down to the lake. Kayaks and pontoon boat were both great fun. There's not much flat space for ball, but the gravel road is very quiet and works well. The owners are friendly and very responsive. Recommended!
