THE PROPERTY-
This condo boasts a full kitchen with a dishwasher, free WiFi, a gas fireplace, flatscreen cable TV with a DVD player, and a 3rd floor balcony. The condo is elevator accessible and garage parking keeps you out of the rain and snow.

This well-appointed unit is your home away from home. Comfortably sleeping up to 6 people. Both bedrooms are furnished with a queen size bed, dresser and closet with private access to their own full bathrooms. The Master bedroom has a private bathroom with dual “his and hers” sinks and full size walk in closet. There is additional sleeping arrangements on the pullout couch in the living room that offers a full size mattress.

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need while you are away from home. Cook a delicious meal and enjoy in the dining area with seating for six. Enjoy an early morning cup of coffee on the balcony table with the beautiful mountain views in the background.

Are you driving to Girdwood? We got you covered there to. The heated garage is a huge plus, especially during the winter months where it has been known to snow up to 40 inches over night!

Enjoyed our first time to Alaska and this condo was the perfect place for us to stay while visiting sites in the area. Girdwood is a cute town. Fun to walk around. The condo was clean and had everything we needed. Bjorn was great in responding when we had a question. Would stay there again and highly recommend.

Great location in Girdwood

We had a great stay here. Definitely much more suited for 4 adults as the pullout was very worn, but it was so perfectly located and a great set up to spend time with friends!

Quiet, clean and comfortable family escape

I stayed here for a few days in early summer with my husband and kids ages 21, 16 and 10. It felt like home. Clean condo, quiet building and the area felt safe. It was walkable to trails, cafes and the mercantile. Full kitchen. I would definitely stay here again.

The Hightower Suite - "A Beautiful Place"

The Hightower Suite was a beautiful place for some "rest and relaxation". It has easy access. It was exceptionally clean. It has multiple amenities. The inside decor is awesome. The parking is substantial. Would highly recommend for some rest and relaxation.

Excellent property,

This property was excellent, very clean and good location. We fixed breakfast a few times and had everything we needed. The only downfall was the TV and fireplace we could not get to work. But we were able to watch DVD which was still ok.

The condo exceeded our expectations. The kitchen was spacious and even stocked with some staples. I loved the balcony and spent some time out there reading and viewing the mountains. This stop was at the middle of our vacation so it was really nice having a washer and dryer available to do our laundry. We took a trip to Whittier to do a day cruise. I'd love to come back when there is snow on the ground. AT

My family enjoyed a holiday getaway to the Girdwood area just before Christmas. This condo was immaculately clean and comfortable for our family of 5. We enjoyed the complementary welcome bottle of champagne. We ate meals as a family at the large dining room table, skied all day and slept well at night in this quiet mid- Girdwood location. I have stayed at the base of the mountain before and I prefer this as it seems quieter. The heated garage was an unexpected benefit. We would definitely stay here again and would love the outdoor dining option in the summer months.

First Trip to Alaska

This condo was really nice. We did not do any cooking but felt like the kitchen was well stocked should we have done so. The layout was nice for two couples. The only problem we had was the fireplace was supposed to turn on with just a switch. It would not. Of course, we didn't really need it. But one night, we came in after getting wet because of rain and thought it would be nice to sit by fire awhile. Also we had one down afternoon that we were going to stay in and watch TV. The TV would not pick up any channels. We saw that there was a cable that obviously needed to be hooked to a cable box, but the cabinet that probably held that box was locked. Other than those couple of minor things, I would highly recommend this condo! We enjoyed our stay!

I grew up in Alaska, my wife is from Berlin. We share a passion for skiing, snowboarding hiking fresh air and the outdoors. I moved to Girdwood in 2007 and have enjoyed the fun ski town vibe that Girdwood offers.

Why they chose this property

I am the original owner of this condo. It was purchased brand new. This condo has been our home until we converted it into a vacation rental. I chose Girwood/Alyeska because it is one of the major ski/snowboard destinations in North America. Known for steep slopes, 650 inches of snow on average (978" in 2011-2012) and access to some amazing backcountry in the Chugiak range.
