BIG TIMBER RIVER CABINS "The Hawk's Nest"

The Hawk's Nest is a newly-built, authentic, handcrafted log cabin with all the modern amenities. It sits on a bluff overlooking the Ohio River and serene, Kentucky farmland. Located five minutes from I-64 in Crawford County, Indiana, the cabin is easy to reach. The site is park-like, and although not totally secluded, guests enjoy plenty of privacy. The cabin contains a full bath and kitchen. It also has heat/ac, as well as television, fire-pit, outdoor gas grill, and private hot tub. Rent a cabin, relax, and watch the river boats float by!

All the reviews that say this cabin is even nicer than the photos show are telling the truth! It’s a gorgeous spot with big water views out every window. It’s on a bluff high above a scenic river bend. Having our meals out on the deck watching the barges pass by below is something we will never forget. But the real fun of this place is that the log cabin is such a work of art and so meticulously outfitted with everything you’d need.

If you want to relax and enjoy the views of the Ohio River, this place is it.Quiet, no rush to do anything, and if you do want to get out, there is a National Park, the Historic town of Corydon, and a great winery, Turtle Run.

The cabin was so nice and clean. It was in a beautiful location right by the river. It was so quiet and peaceful. Karen was very friendly and helpful. We definitely enjoyed our stay and will be back.

The property was as described. Highly responsive host. The negative about the cabin, the bed was pretty hard. I had trouble sleeping in it. Also, be careful if you have the ceiling fan on and climbing the ladder to the loft. It smacked me in the head when I was up there. Karen, the host was very responsive and helpful to let us know the cabin experienced a power outage. However, we did not stay at the cabin. We ventured out for supper, and the power was back on when we returned. Watching the river barges and boats was very relaxing. We had neighbors, but never was bothered by them. I would recommend this cabin to anyone! We could have just stayed at the cabin and done nothing else! Thank you, Karen!!!

My partner and I spent our anniversary weekend here for the second year in a row. Once again our host Karen was nothing short of exceptional. This darling cabin had everything we needed- towels, toiletries, cookware, even ice cubes. The view from the comfortable reclining loveseat is breathtaking. We enjoyed unwinding in the hot tub and watching the boats on the Ohio. The price point was a steal for this private getaway and we were able to dine at the Overlook restaurant less than five minutes away.

was actually like a real cabin very nice and clean. not like some, city small house that some call cabins....Liked being on the river as a view to see...Host was really nice and welcoming she gave my lady and i a rundown of the cabin and how it became to be. We had a nice relaxing valentines day/ her birthday weeekend. Look forward to another weekend soon...Cabin life is the relaxing life....

AMAZING!
