Perequê-Açu is an excellent beach in Ubatuba for swimming and especially for families with children. Also great for surfing, especially for beginners. It is centrally located, easily accessible and wheelchair accessible. The tourist support center is on this beach. It has excellent infrastructure, with inns, leisure services (banana boat, stand-up, kayaks) and kiosks all along the waterfront. It is never unsuitable for bathing. The Perequê-Açu River is at one end and is a great option for a walk.
