A few days in between seasons for kids Apr vacation
Nice place, perfect for what we wanted. Convenience location. Arrived to a couple inches of surprise April snow, owner immediately had driveway plowed after I reached out. Clear instructions, easy stay. Would stay again.

Perfect all season home!
We spent 8 weekend up at Trish's and we had the best time! It was close to Sunapee for easy access to the mountain, close to New London for great meals and super quite with beautiful views! Everyone who visited us would exclaim "how did you find this gem?"
Thank you Trish and Stuart for a magical ski winter!!!
House was quaint and cozy. As described. Easy walk to lake. For us, it was a perfect distance in between the two places in VT and NH that we had plans to visit. Gotta eat at Bubbas while your there! They have good takeout pizza too!
The house was great stay. Each member of the family had their own bed. Kitchen had all supply. Only 3-star because spiders in cupboard made us wash everything we used. We also had to clean the cobwebs from bottom cabinets, outdoor patio furniture and sweep the patio to enjoy. Family enjoyed the board games and use of outdoor grill.
Quiet, serene place-- we could hear acorns falling in the woods-- keep looking for moose but the only one we saw was a metal one on the property.
Trish was very responsive to my questions and concerns. Property was well equipped for our needs.

Magical & Peaceful
This home is a wonderful get away! The area is absolutely gorgeous, couldn't have asked for more with peekaboo Sunapee mountain and lake views, and that was when the leaves were still on the trees, in the winter, I imagine the view is amazing. The home is super clean and well decorated, feels very cozy and serene, the grounds are so great and very quiet as the home is surrounded by forest and houses are not too close. Thanks Trish!

thanks so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay. It's such a beatiful time of year to be up at Sunapee.
This was a cute little home. Nice location. Driveway is steep so take caution. The upstairs bathroom is a little tough to flush but it does work. House was nice and clean except the fridge didn't appear to have been cleaned. All the directions and information was great. The owner was fantastic with communication.
Really liked this place and location! Lots of room and deck space for entertaining. Beds were comfortable, had all the essentials for a short or long stay.
The trash and recycling need to be taken to the dump, which caused a hiccup for us Would be helpful to have name, location, and hours of dump in the information book. Trish was superfluous helpful about this, though!
Also, while there were bunk beds and games, I wouldn't say it was great for kids under 5yo. Would have brought a lot more kid friendly stuff if we had realized.
I'd definitely come back with older children or as a friends retreat!

HI thanks Caroline, glad you enjoyed your stay. For safety reasons we don't have toys for young children; just board games and some art supplies. All the dump info is in the folder now - thanks for letting us know.
When we arrived, the property wasn’t ready. So we had to go out and get dinner. Property owner communicated absolutely wonderful. It snowed. The plow person came out. Did not plow wide enough for my truck. Then they’re also wasn’t a walkway up to the house. Everything was just full with snow. We did not even find a shovel,

Thank you for staying. We've had the house for 10 years and never had snow thanksgiving week! Sorry we weren't ready for so much snow but glad the driveway was plowed.
This home is nestled in a peaceful wooded area near a picturesque lake and comfortably accommodated our group. The property was clean and well-maintained upon our arrival, and the kitchen had all the essentials we needed. The three bedrooms and two bathrooms provided ample space for our needs, with the lower level bedroom and bathroom offering extra privacy.
The inclusion of a washer and dryer was a convenient feature that allowed us to pack light and do laundry as necessary. Despite having neighbors nearby, the property felt private and tranquil, thanks to the surrounding woods.
The location was perfect for day trips to various nearby attractions, including Boston, MA; Stowe, VT; White Mountain National Forest; Quechee Gorge, and Woodstock, VT. There were also plenty of nearby trails, lakes, and waterfalls to explore.
The property owner Trish was easy to communicate with and responsive to our questions. The check-in/check-out process was straightforward and suited our travel plans well. The rental provided good value for the price.
In summary, this Newbury home was a comfortable and convenient base for our adventures, and we appreciate Trish for making our stay enjoyable.
We arrived after dark and we’re delighted by the number of fallen leaves. The driveway , ramp, deck were all camouflaged by the crisp and beautiful leaves.
The interior was delightfully cozy and the windows provided airiness. The kitchen had an upscale coffee maker, dishwasher AND a microwave, once we found it.
It was a delightful getaway with lovely woodsy atmosphere.
We loved everything about this house. Everything has its place, and the instructions Trish left were spot on. We spent a lot of time out on the gorgeous deck, and loved our time down at the lake. The swimming was fantastic! We hope to come back here next year!!
Very comfortable and clean house. Perfect for 4 adults and 2 children. Easy walk to the water and close to Sunapee State Park and the Sanctuary Ice Cream place!
Wonderful location, perfect place to stay for out of town guests on graduation weekend. Lake view was better than we imagined. Beautiful sunsets seen from the deck and dock. We took advantage of the fire pit and new patio! It was a little chilly at night. Would definitely stay again! Thank you, Trish
We loved our stay here! It was perfect for the four of us (2 Adults, 2 kids). We came up to go skiing but had warm weather and we got to enjoy the house and the beautiful deck with views of the lake. The beds were so comfy! We will def come back. Trish was a pleasure to work with.
This was a great place to stay for a weekend away. Beautiful location, easy check in and out, host's are responsive. We enjoyed our stay! You will need to run to the transfer station before you check out with trash and recycling, leave time for that!
Place was just what we (couple with two college kids) needed. We have family in the area and were visiting for Thanksgiving. Trish was very accommodating and had beds made up for us since we were getting in very late. We will stay again!
The perfect place to stay for peace and quiet! 10/10

Fall Trip
Property was as indicated - however, beds were not made upon our arrival. Linens were placed on bed duvet and bedspread were on the bed. I had to make the bed and in doing so noticed stains on the duvet, also questioned what cleaning had been done because of this. We had booked one week and there were two bath towels for use. In addition, taking the trash to the dump was very inconvenient due to the days and hours of operation. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in the area but would prefer not to have to make beds and could have used more towels.

Thank you for your review. It is common practice to have linens folded on the beds for guests. Often when beds are pre-made people question if the linens are clean. There are 4-5 towels in the closet of the master bedroom - sorry if that wasn't obvious. Yes, the dump is annoying but there is no trash pickup in our neighborhood. Again, it's a common practice to have guests dispose of their trash and recycling when they leave the property. Glad you enjoyed your stay overall.
