Surfside 2 is a modern two storey townhouse, with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, centrally located in Sandy Point. It is one of the closest properties to the town centre with shops, main beach access, surf lifesaving club, community centre and sporting facilities all only minutes away.
The open plan living area downstairs includes a modern, fully-equipped kitchen with stone benchtops, European appliances including dishwasher, dining table and lounge area. The lounge area has modern new furniture, a large TV, DVD, Bluetooth sound system, games console and wood fire. Bi-fold doors from the living room open out to a shaded front deck. There is also a secluded, fully enclosed courtyard and large shaded deck at the rear. Both areas are provided with outdoor furniture and there is a BBQ on the back deck, with easy access to the kitchen. A large and well-equipped laundry with washing machine is adjacent to the kitchen.
The property has two large bedrooms, both with queen size beds, and built in robes. The downstairs bedroom also includes a set of bunks, and is located next to the family bathroom. Upstairs there is a large main bedroom with its own private deck, a spacious ensuite and large TV / DVD. All beds have quality mattresses. Pillows, doonas with covers, bath mats and hand towels are provided. BYO Linen: Sheets, pillow cases and towels.
If you require linen these can be supplied for an additional charge.
The home is perfect for either a family or couples and can sleep 6. There is an additional single sofa bed in the snug area at the top of the stairs.
Other features include free WiFi, reverse-cycle air conditioning on both levels, separate room heaters and electric blankets on queen beds in winter. There is a coffee machine (Aldi) and a limited supply of coffee pods, tea, milk and sugar, as well as a complimentary bottle of champagne for your arrival.
The property has easy access and is set amongst landscaped surrounds, with off street car parking and an outside shower.
Smoking is not permitted inside the property.

While the property is fully furnished and well equipped, it may not have all appliances and equipment you may be used to using. We apologise if this causes inconvenience.

You have use of the entire house and yard. Guest access information will be provided the day of your arrival via email. This will include details on how to locate the property, where to locate the key safe, and the key safe combination to access the keys.
- Neighbourhood
Situated approximately 2.5 hours from Melbourne and approximately 40 mins to Wilsons Promontory.
The property is located close to the main beach for swimming, surfing and fishing. Waratah Bay Surf Lifesaving Club patrols the beach over summer; they also have a bar, occasional meals and events.
Launch your boat at Shallow Inlet, just a short 5 minute drive. It's famous for wind surfing, kite surfing and fishing.
The Sandy Point General store is the hub for groceries, bait, petrol, gas, bottle shop and an Australia Post outlet.
A small Mini golf course is located next to our office on Beach Parade (seasonal).
Playgrounds, Tennis courts (equipment can be hired from the General Store), Half basketball court & public bbq areas are located next to the Sandy Point Community Centre.
The Sandy Point Community Centre hosts art festivals, markets & other events over summer.
Sandy Point is a great base for exploring the local region. With Wilsons Promontory a short drive away, you can enjoy a range of short and long hikes that include breath taking beaches, rivers and wildlife encounters.
The historic towns of Fish Creek, Walkerville, Foster, Toora and Meeniyan are an easy drive away, offering outstanding local produce, art galleries, cafes, restaurants and wineries.
Also in easy reach is the historic Cape Liptrap Lighthouse and Walkerville Lime Kilns at the famous Magic Beach, Walkerville South.
The Great Southern Rail Trail (131kms) runs from Nyora to Yarram and can be accessed at Fish Creek, it's ideal for biking or walking.
- Getting Around
Sandy Point is a lovely Village to stroll around, however getting beyond this you will need your own car.
- Other things to note
Due to the closure of the Gippsland Power Stations, during peak times (i.e. the middle of summer) we are prone to power blackouts. Mobile phone coverage can also be poor, travellers are advised to use Telstra for the best coverage in our area. This is unfortunately completely out of our control.
Each property in Sandy Point is on tank water and septic systems.
