Why Owner/Property Manager chose Boulevard Bluffs
Elizabeth and Joe grew up and went to school in the Seattle area and have relocated from coast to coast several times. When they were able to settle back in the Northwest they chose Mukilteo, with its "old town" charm, lighthouse and easy access to Whidbey Island, Edmonds, Everett and Seattle, as the place they wanted to live. This beautifully tranquil Cape Cod with views of the islands and Mt. Baker on a private natural lot was a unique chance to own a bit of paradise.
What makes this House unique
There is really nothing like this delightful home in the area - so ideally located to the beaches, lighthouse, Paine Field and Boeing, the train, Edmonds, Seattle, Vancouver, the ferry to Whidbey Island and all the outdoor activities of the Northwest - yet a private, peaceful setting in spacious natural beauty with glorious views. Edgewater Cottage would make an excellent writers' retreat.

Enjoy this wonderful space as you would your own home, but on vacation. First make sure you familiarize yourself and all guests with the space.
There is approximately an acre of working property so there may be both natural and other hazards, such as machines or chemicals on the premises.
Star watch from the expansive deck, but also watch your step, slippery when wet!
No refunds for cancellations made after payment is made
We enjoyed our stay very much. A lovely home with an awesome deck and beautiful view.
Would definitely stay again
Thank you Jan! We do hope to have you as guests at Edgewater Cottage again. It was a pleasure!
Very relaxing and peaceful but still close to Seattle
The pictures don't do justice to this very quaint and beautiful property. The outdoor deck is massive and provide a fantastic view of Mt. Baker and surrounding islands. Lots of very comfortable seating both indoor and out and the views are not limited to the deck. Lots of windows to enjoy the scenery. Landscaping very beautiful. Amazing roses and other flowers. Kitchen very functional and enough dishes to accommodate everyone. Gas grill on deck as well as heaters should the weather be chilly. Living areas very nicely decorated, comfortable and have a cottage feel. Roadway busy but you do not hear any traffic that would disturb the tranquility you can enjoy. Bedrooms and beds very comfortable as well. Owners easy to contact and very responsive. The only item we needed while there was a request for a later checkout due to flight timing. Owners granted our request and I am sure would have done so with any other request we might have made. Very pleased with our rental and stay. Would try to stay again should the opportunity arise. Two items of note. The driveway is very easy to miss and quite steep. Also, there are many "knickknacks" that lend to the cottage feel that may be tempting for toddlers to play with. Just be mindful and put them up out of reach to insure safety.
All in all, a 5 star stay. We were very relaxed and sorry to leave. You will enjoy.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a nice and detailed review, we really appreciate that from our valued guests. It was wonderful to have you and I am sure your insights will be helpful to future guests. We are happy to have guests move things around to meet their needs! We enjoyed having you as guests and hope you will return to experience Edgewater Cottage again in the future.
Very well set up and comfortable.
This kitchen had everything needed to cook a great meal after a trip to the farmers market. Great location and wonderful deck. Enjoyed our stay.
Thank Kathryn, we enjoyed having you too! Please come again.
Very comfortable and able to do a lot of healing

Relaxing property with great views
This is our second family vacation at the Edgewater Cottage. It has a great location, accommodates our large family and we love spending time on the deck. This is our go to location when in the northwest!
Comfortable haven from daily tourist bustle
Our family of 5 were very comfortable in this home during our vacation to the area. The distance from Seattle city center was worth the drive to escape to quiet evenings and dining on the deck with great views. The kitchen was perfectly equipped and we greatly appreciated the obvious starter supplies so we didn’t have to dash immediately to the store. Loved the big parking area and private yard. The grill was in great shape and the beds very comfy. Highly recommend this location and this house.
