Lora’s property was a great home base for our ski trip over new years! Kitchen was incredibly well stocked and the we had a lot of fun playing board games provided. Having and washer and dryer was a huge help and the drive to Sunday River wasn’t bad at all.
Had a lovely time this weekend at this place in Andover! Very peaceful home where you can hear the creek outside & sleeps everyone comfortably! House came with all the necessities & such an easy drive to Sunday River Resort.
We came for a nearby family event and were delighted to find a rental so conveniently located, comfortable, roomy, and thoughtfully arranged. The host was very helpful and responded quickly when I had questions. We all want to come back again and stay longer to explore the area and hang out on the screened porch.
This quaint, lovely old farmhouse in Maine was a perfect place for the family to stay while we were up working on an old family camp nearby. The property had a tranquil ambiance and quaint New England charm coupled with the sounds of the river across the road. We and our 5 year old loved exploring the farmhouse and property, while enjoying silence of rural Maine.
Fee (my sister) and Tony from Australia, Bob (a New England Yankee farmer type) and I got way more than we had hoped for in our first real dedicated Fall Foliage road trip...(and I have lived in New England for 42 years and Bob for 79 years!) The farmhouse is PERFECT with the apple trees supplying our dessert every night ... the lovely foliage, the Cascade Hike during the flood, Quill Hill, Mooselookmeguntic Lake from Height of Land and Knotty Moose Tavern for Moose Balls and ...
This was our third time renting the farmhouse and overall had another relaxing week of rest, hiking, and enjoying sitting out on the front porch listening to the rushing water of the stream. Wild turkeys came to visit three mornings of our stay. Always hate to leave but hopefully will be back in a few months.
Very nice old farm house, super clean and plenty of room. Enjoyed the wood stove, owner supplied plenty of wood. Kitchen had everything you need. Perfect for our ski getaway…low key in a beautiful mountain area. Will stay here again for sure!
We really enjoyed our stay here! This home has a ton of charm inside and out. We enjoyed the access to the areas we came to visit (Rangeley, Saddle Back Mountain, Oquossoc) Super nice we were able to grab the ITS 82 snowmobile trail directly off the Loop trail that goes thru the property. Parking our 24 foot snowmobile trailer was no issue. Plenty of parking. Home was warm, love the woodstove on those cold nights of 1 F degrees. Strong WiFi so our kids laptops worked with zero issues. A place I sincerely hope to come back to again.
Enjoyed our February vacation for ski at Sunday River. Loved the place, nice, quint and clean. Lora was very accommodating and offered guidance along the way. Also, one night we lost power and the owner made sure to send one to start generator, so we could cook and stay warm.
The only downside was that the location was a bit far from Sunday River…
Many thanks to the hosts!
We had a wonderful vacation. The house was great. It’s in a super quiet area. There was a ton of snow, but the driveway was cleared immediately. There was plenty of wood for the wood stove and the kitchen had everything we needed. Lora, the owner, checked in to make sure we had everything we needed, but we didn’t need anything.
We would definitely stay there again.
Just as advertised. A great place to disconnect, play family games, see the stars without light pollution. Comfortable and clean. Nearby river to hop on the rocks. Good nearby hike at Whitecap Mtn
Location was near the store, beautiful scenery, close to the atv trails, and quiet. We enjoyed sitting on the porch talking and listening to the brook nearby. Inside was immaculate clean, bedrooms were gorgeous and comfortable beds. Owner was very nice. I would definitely stay there again.
We had a great stay here in Andover. This beautiful property is very well kept. Lora made our stay easy and I felt like Lora is very responsive to her guests. This location is very good. Great off road recreation trails as well as hiking trails very close by. The region is loaded with wonders of Mother Nature!! I would definitely recommend this property for people looking to enjoy the outdoors. A+
Our long weekend stay at this wonderful farmhouse was comfortable and relaxing. We enjoyed spectacular foliage, explored the lovely yard, and laughed over games of UNO, My daughter and I especially enjoyed sitting on the expansive screened porch and unwinding from our busy lives. We appreciated the old time cozy feel of the house that was clean and comfortable. It is truly a step back in time, with comfortable modern touches. We have family in Andover so we know the area well, but for those unfamiliar with this region there was a booklet that listed plenty of suggestions for things to do. There was a slight mix up with the check in code and key, but it was really no big deal, and Lora was quick to respond to our call. Lora also graciously accommodated a late check out for us since we really didn't want our wonderful weekend to end! We hope to return again the next time we head to Maine!
It's been a wonderful stay in a really lovely house. It's fully equipped with everything you could ask for.
We had a short power outage but the generator kicked in within a second.
The location is near to perfect. You could even reach the Appalachian Trail on foot.
We just loved it.
