The Location - The perfect holiday location! Situated across the road from Shoal Bay Beach. Enjoy the water views from this favoured north and east facing apartment extending to the whole of Shoal Bay Beach, the headlands and across the Port Stephens estuary to Hawks Nest opposite. This unit is located in a prime spot of Shoal Bay as it is situated at a quieter end of the foreshore yet only 200m to Shoal Bay shops, restaurants and cafes. Enjoy a stroll around the boutique shops, choose from an array of restaurants, bars and cafes, hire a bike and explore the surrounding area or hire a kayak/SUP board to enjoy the water. For the more adventurous, take a hike up Tomaree Mountain, located 500m from unit and a further 1km to the summit which offers magnificent views over Port Stephens and the vast ocean. Nelson Bay CBD is a further 3kms away.

The Apartment - This three bedroom first floor unit offers fantastic water views from the spacious open plan living and dining area. The living area offers a TV and comfortable seating, dining table and chairs, accompanied by the fully equipped kitchen including a dishwasher, oven and full fridge/freezer.

The master bedroom has a queen size bed, built in robe, water views and ensuite with shower. Bedroom two has two single beds and built in robes and the third bedroom features two single beds and built in robes. The main bathroom has a shower, vanity and toilet. Other features include a private balcony, secure undercover parking for one car and an internal laundry with a washing machine. South Pacific Complex offers a communal BBQ, outside furniture and a clothes line at the back of the building. There are definitely smoke alarms at this property.

Perfect location

We loved our week in Shoal bay. Great location, stunning views. We did have no hot water for 2 days and no bath or clothes dryer which were listed when we booked this property.

Good but some improvements required.

The lack of general cleanliness was the most significant issue. I spent over an hour cleaning upon arrival. The balcony's large screen door and all the surrounding framework was literally black (& with cobwebs)! The floor was sandy and there was thick dust on shelves, fake plants etc. The broom provided for sweeping was only a half length one - terrible for your back! (I went out and bought a full length broom from Woollies to use). One leg of one of the bedside tables was broken so rendered the table unstable. All the windows only opening 10cm, prevented good air flow and the mobile house-fans provided were ineffective. The bathrooms and kitchen were however pleasingly clean and the kitchen is well equipped. Plenty of lounge cushions and bed pillows are provided. Some additional suggestions for improvement for guests: - A small lamp in the living area is needed (the existing large standing one provides way too much light!); - A full length mirror in the bedroom without one, is needed; - Hooks x 2 (or a 2nd towel-rail), is needed on the inside of the ensuite door. The existing towel-rail on the wall is placed closely above the toilet-roll holder so only one towel can be placed on it. There is one hook on the wall which can hold a 2nd towel but therefore there is no hook for hanging clothing/robes etc. The location of the apartment is great, offering wonderful views.

Best in Shoal Bay

This is our yearly trip and by far this has been best accommodation we have stayed at. It is a old unit block but that made it better as so quiet. I give this place a 9.7 out of 10. Just please replace pillows and I will do 10 if we can get in again as such a hidden gem.. To cleaners well done as immaculately presenters
