Hale Kai #117 is just steps to the sand, ocean and pool. From this one level, ground floor, non-smoking, oceanfront condo, you can snorkel, swim, watch turtles and even whales during that season. This well maintained modern ground floor condo has a well stocked kitchen, with granite counter tops, so it can be your “home by the sea”.

Unit #117 at Hale Kai ( which means “ home by the sea”) is comfortably decorated with tropical Hawaiian furniture and with Island style. This unit is equipped to provide you with all the comforts of home. Even with high speed Internet availability; imagine relaxing Maui style, if you must bring your laptop. On this unit’s private lanai relax with the sounds of the ocean, the trade breezes, and gaze endlessly at the ocean(or your laptop?).



Go enjoy many of Maui's wonderful sights and activities. But this unit has a history of repeat visitors whom have returned to Unit #117. So, you will need to book ahead for Unit #117 to relax and enjoy all this condo and Maui has to offer.

Beautiful Hale Kai

We love this complex. Steps from swimmable beach, pool, and great community. We couldnt find the pillows for the pull out sofa, but otherwise clean and had everything we needed

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I’ve been staying at Hale Kai each year for about 10 years or more. Obviously I consider Hale Kai my home away from home. The condos have all you need, the pool is right there and a small private sandy beach (sometimes a turtle will come there to rest). Plus at night there is the fun conch hailing of the sunset.

Other units are VRBO and Aribnb and they don't have the IMMEDIATE response time for issues that hale Kai management provides. The bed was great, bathroom clean, everything functioned throughout the condo. Location was perfect for us-no stairs to get to the pool, beach or BBQ. Plenty of parking. We will return to this unit.

We are here for 2 more weeks not impressed. Condo needs updating we have stayed in much much nicer ones. We will need a good refund we didn’t sign up for this!

Negative at first, then once inside and seeing the view from back patio... loved it!

I did a bad job of checking details while booking and being hot natured, was not wild when I discovered there was no A/C (totally my ignorance). However, once chatting with another guest about that, we managed things with the shades and windows and it worked out well. We even moved our bedroom mattress from the bedroom to the living room floor and slept there, able to hear the ocean while we slept which was AWESOME. I was able to cool down and enjoy the ocean sounds. We had some plumbing issues but again managed it and enjoyed our stay. Management will address those issues. All in all, really enjoyed our stay as we spent more time exployring Maui and not too much time in the room, but even the pool and small beach was enjoyable the short time we were at the VRBO.

Best Beach and Pool view/location

The pictures serve the property perfectly. We loved staying in Honokowai area of Maui, we'd never been there before. Only one exit north of Ka'anapali. The view from the living room was priceless. The place was clean with all needed amenities. Lack of AC in January is not an issue, the breeze kept us comfortable. The pool was right off our patio. The private beach was very swimmable (unlike a lot of Kaanapali because this beach had a rock break).. Never overcrowded, only these two condo units use this beach. Was great. Even on days it disappeared due to higher tide. Still very usable. Great farmer market store right across the street, ABC store within walking distance. Local park/beach right next door to condo if you want to use the public beach instead of the private one. Our only lower star is due to the fact we were never give the code for the door. And check in on Saturday at 3pm are after office hours. We got lucky an owner in the complex saw us mulling around and called the office manager on her personal line to get us the code to get in. I had emailed 2 days before check in to get code, no response. Will definitely return to this complex.

Excellent first trip to Maui

This property was perfect. It was clean and well stocked. The location could not have been better as it was central to everything we wanted to do. Even just staying on the property to enjoy the pool and ocean was fun. I would definitely stay here again.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: There wasn’t an Airconditioner and we weren’t able to sleep because it was so hot nor come in from the beach to cool off. Don’t rent this one if you are use to air conditioning. There was one fan in the unit and we moved it around with us. We left after 3 days of an 8 night vacation. They wouldn’t work with us on any form of a refund. It was built in the early 60tys and hasn’t changed much since then.

This is true we do not have AC nor to we advertise that we do. We have ceiling fan in each room living room and bedrm. We have broke at least a dozen records for the heat. If I could control Mother Nature I would have made it cooler I promise you that. We are old Hawaii no high rise just nice condos on the beach. Most of the time the ocean breezes and ceiling fans work. Sit out on your own lanai and listen to surf not an AC or take a dip in the ocean front pool maybe a swim in the ocean that is what we have to offer. Mahalo Valerie
