About this property

"The Enchanted Cottage" is a chic private garden apartment with gorgeous views.

This new vacation flat has a lighted terrace and beautiful gardens with expansive lawns for outdoor living. A new remote-controlled awning allows sun protection, with all amenities for outdoor dining. Done in a blend of German and American style, it is near historic Hirschhorn, with great music and culture. Its location features hiking, biking and sports, within proximity to swimming and horseback riding along the Neckar River. It is a short S-Bahn ride to Heidelberg.
All kitchen appliances are new.
In the flat are 2 new flatscreen TV's, an iPod dock, CD player, as well games for both adults and children. WiFi is included. The kitchen is newly refurbished and the flat includes new laundry facilities. All linens are included and a new full size wooden crib may be converted to a youth bed. A Weber barbeque is available. The rooms are generous and the housewares are plentiful and lovely. The new remote controlled awning allows guests to enjoy shaded or sunny exposure on the terrace. "The Enchanted Cottage" is level-in and has a custom built ramp for wheel-chair access. This is a no-smoking property.

The property is best for three adult guests, or a family of two adults and two children. Please inquire about additional charges for greater occupancy, including Euro 10,00 per night for roll-away bed (Rollbett.)

Two parking spaces are included. The property is smoke-free and pet-free. Smoking anywhere on the property will occasion an additional cleaning fee of Euro 200,00.

Igelsbach is a quiet, welcoming village. Both German and English are spoken by wonderful, helpful neighbors.

Fabulous Cottage

We stayed for four days and it was wonderful. The Cottage was perfect for 2 couples, on site contacts were very friendly and helpful. This was a perfect place to stay for day trips to Heidelberg, Bad-Wimpfen, and Baden-Baden. We enjoyed the seasonal white asparagus and local restaurants. We highly recommended this property!

Perfect holiday home in rural area

A perfect holiday home for discovering the Odenwald and the border region of Hessen and Baden-Württemberg. Lots of places to visit and ideal for walking and cycling. The home has a wonderful terrace with nice views and is equipped with everything you need. Book and enjoy a relaxing holiday!

Beautiful Vacation Home

Perfect! We couldn't ask for a better vacation home to stay in while touring around with our family. Karen made everything very welcoming. The caretakers, Andreas and Tina, were always available if we needed something. The vacation home is very large and has everything you would need to make your stay comfortable. The area was very peaceful and quiet and we took advantage of touring the local towns within this region (Eberbach and Hirschhorn) and Heidelberg is only a short distance away, as well. We truly enjoyed our stay here and will definitely stay here again in the future.

Wir haben zwei Wochen in dieser gemütlichen und ruhigen Ferienwohnung am Ende einer Sackgasse verbracht und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Wohnung ist sauber, voll ausgestattet, sehr groß und sehr gemütlich. Das Boxspringbett sorgt für erholsamen Schlaf. Für Kinder gibt es ein Klettergerüst mit Rutsche und viele Spiele und Puzzle. Die Überdachte Terrasse ist mit einer Markise und vielen Sitz- und Liegemöglichkeiten ausgestattet. Das WLAN ist stabil und schnell und 2 Fernseher sorgen für wenig Streit bei der Auswahl der Abendunterhaltung. Die Küche ist mit Ceranherd und Backofen, Mikrowelle, Kaffeemaschine und Geschirrspüler ausgestattet. 2 Kühlschränke, Tiefkühler, Waschmaschine und Trockner sorgen für Komfort. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt es in Igelsbach nicht. Dafür muss man nach Eberbach oder Hirschhorn fahren.

Ruim appartement in een bosrijk gebied.

Een royaal appartement voorzien van volledige keuken, badkamer, twee royale slaapkamers en ruime woonkamer. Voor het huisje een fijne zitruimte, overdekt en met de ochtendzon. Vriendelijke eigenaresse en behulpzame conciërge. Handdoeken en servies ruim voldoende aanwezig. Afgezien van de spinnenwebben her en der was het appartement schoon en netjes.

Super Wohnung in sehr schöner Umgebung

Schöne, sehr geräumige Wohnung im Erdgeschoss, mit schöner Terrasse und Garten. Alles was man braucht, ist vorhanden. Die Zimmer sind schöner und die Schlafzimmer größer, als es auf den Bildern aussieht! Wir haben zwei schöne lange Spaziergänge vom Haus aus gemacht. Eberbach ist eine schöne kleine Stadt und Kaufland und REWE sind dort gut zum Einkaufen. In Igelsbach gibt es einen Spielplatz, aber keine andere Einrichtungen. Daher aber super ruhig, abgesehen von einem gelegentlichen Traktor, der vorbeifährt und Besuch vom Nachbarn. Der Kontakt mit dem Besitzer und den Managern war äußerst angenehm. Der Neckar und Ihre Gegend sind atemberaubend, auch schon vom Auto aus. Wir können diese Wohnung nur wärmstens empfehlen!

Det er svært at forestille sig et mere behageligt sted, hvor vi tilbragte flere hyggelige dage. Fijn huis in prachtig gebied

Het appartement, dat zich op de begane grond bevindt, is zeer ruim en comfortabel, met alle voorzieningen voor een aangenaam verblijf. Ook als het buiten heel warm is, is de woning lekker koel. De ventilator waar we om hadden gevraagd bleken we niet te hoeven gebruiken. Op het ruime terras is het heerlijk toeven, in een weldadige rust. De Neckar, Heidelberg, de verschillende stadjes en de mooie bossen zijn allemaal makkelijk bereikbaar. Een echte aanrader!

Ruhe und Entspannung genießen

Sehr große, geräumige Wohnung, schöne Terrasse, gepflegter Garten mit Blick auf die Berge des Odenwalds. Hier kann man absolute Ruhe genießen, man hört nur die Vögel. Nicht weit entfernt liegen die schönen Orte Hirschhorn, Eberbach, Bad Wimpfen und Heidelberg, die zu besichtigen sich lohnt. Auch der Neckar Fahrradweg ist sehr zu empfehlen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Entspannung Pur!

Die herzliche Begrüßung von Karen und Roland war nur der Anfang eines besonderen Urlaubs. Die Lage des wunderbaren Hauses trifft zu, es ist wirklich sehr ruhig gelegen, und abseits der größeren Orte. Dennoch ist man schnell mit dem Auto am Neckar und kann mit dem Fahrrad wunderbare Touren machen oder wandern. Die Wanderwege sind bestens ausgeschildert, die Margarethenschlucht ist ein echtes Highlight! Wer im Sommer dort ist und an klassischer Musik interessiert ist, darf die besonderen Konzerte in der Hirschhorner Klosterkirche nicht verpassen, dort treten junge Musiker*innen auf , immer mittwochs um 20:44 Uhr, von Juni bis September. In der Wohnung fehlt es an nichts, die Betten sind wirklich super, und der Fernblick von der Terrasse (mit Markise!) lädt zum verweilen ein. Schon zum Frühstück scheint die Sonne auf die Terrasse und wenn es wie diesen Sommer doch mal etwas kühler und regnerischer ist, gibt es noch eine Elektrische Heizung im Wohnzimmer. Ein wunderbare Wohnung - und mit der freundlichen Begleitung von Karen und Roland etwas Besonderes.

The apartment exceeded our expectations. Comfortable beds, a greatly equipped kitchen, large rooms, hot shower, working music installation, quick internet. Having breakfast on the lovely terras in the morning sun with a beautiful view. Making use of the sunbeds. All you can wish is there. And on top of all that is the great hospitality from Karen the owner and house friend Roland. Providing us with excellent tips for our trips in the surroundings. Highly recommended!

As an American with German heritage, I fell in love with this beautifully designed and built house. The Ferienwohnung blends German style with American style to offer great comfort.

Why they chose this property

The location selected by the original owner to build my house is intriguing. It is private and serene, but grand in scale. It has been a great joy to blend German traditions and American style as installations in the home have been updated. The gardens are large and offer great soil and climate for many plant and flower varieties. Visitors my hike in the forest, go biking on many trails, enjoy the marvellous outdoor swimming facilities in Eberbach, or swim, fish and boat on the Neckar River.

What makes this property unique

Located in the Neckar River Valley, the water in Igelsbach is superb. Fruits, vegetables and flowers are easily grown and shared. Nearby historic Hirschhorn is a central point for music and culture. Lovely shops and restaurants abound. The churches are art and a spirit that opens the heart. Eberbach has a well kept art museum, and Roman ruins are found in Bad Hornberg.
