Cooinda Merrijig - Meaning 'Happy Place' - Perfect for two families.
Cooinda, meaning "Happy Place" is a cozy and comfortable place to stay. Fully equipped kitchen, all linen provided as well as books, tv and games, Cooinda has everything you need to have a great time in the mountains.
5 minute drive to the Mount Buller resort gates, a short walk to the Mount Buller bus line bus stop and only 20 minutes drive into Mansfield, it is a perfect place to base all your activities from.
The space:
Cooinda has a large open planned living, kitchen and dining area, perfect to get together and share a meal, curling up on the couches to watch a film or just enjoy the view out of the window.
Bedroom 1 is the master bedroom with a queen size bed and open ensuite with spa bath and seperate toilet.
Bedroom 2 also has a queen bed and plenty of cupboard space to hang your clothes.
Bedroom 3 has 2 bunk beds; perfect for the kids!
The kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, utensils, cutlery and crockery, as well as the general staples of tea, coffee, olive oil, and other essential items. Everything you may need to cook a gourmet meal! There is also a BBQ on the deck.
The deck out the front has a wonderful view of Mount Buller and you will often see native wildlife such as kangaroos, king parrots, cockatoos and other birdlife in the surrounding area. They often come right up to the house for an incredible close counter experience.
The house is also equipped with a washing machine and drying cupboard. Great for drying out your ski gear and avoiding soggy gloves the next morning.
Interaction with guests:
Owners will be available to answer any questions via phone or message during your stay. Whilst we are not located near the property, we have people on call for any emergencies.

Family holiday with dogs
This property is very clean and appropriate for adults. The garden and balcony are not ideal for children due to lack of fencing and barriers. The location is fabulous as is the view from the balcony. We were very happy with our stay.

Thank you so much for your review. We always recommend that children are supervised when outside. One of the great things about our property not having fences is that the local wildlife can come right up to the house, giving guests a fantastic close up experience. The balcony does have barriers, but we will take on board your feedback and see what else we can do to make it even safer for all of our guests.

Wonderful Experience
Beautiful cozy home with a spa bath! A nice getaway retreat for my family. The owner was pleasant in all communications and wanted us to feel welcomed. Recommend staying at this lovely home.

Hi I'm Jess, and along with my partner Chris and my parents Alison and Mick, we own and manage Cooinda. We absolute love the area and all it has to offer, often coming up to go mountain biking in the summer and skiing in the winter. There's also the amazing food and wine in the region which often undoes our physical exertions. We absolutely love to host and show others what this incredible region has to offer.
Why they chose this property
Cozy, comfortable, fully equipped and has incredible views of Mt Buller. Much more affordable than on mountain accomodation and only 5 minutes to the Mt Buller/Mt Sterling gates.
