We tremendously enjoyed our stay with Freycinet Holiday Houses. Our studio, Feldspar, had excellent views, was comfortable, clean and warm, and was perfectly located in the heart of Coles Bay with walking access to groceries, cafes, and the bay itself. Would stay again 100%!

Great location and view but septic outside front door had an offensive odour all the time we were there and inside was definitely a bit tired. Bed just ok quality of fittings not the best, but everything was pretty clean. Outdoor setting cheap and uncomfortable. Close to jetty and shops and cafe….but the coffee better at Granite cafe at other end of esplanade. Just the bare necessities in the kitchen. Could have been presented better, not having cleaning products around bathroom floor. The tap in the bathroom was old and leaked at times, needs a bit of a makeover. Regardless we had a nice stay as Cole’s bay is a lovely,peaceful village and we were away a fair bit.

Beautiful location and great modern accommodation

Very well appointed, modern and great interior - great features include a coonara wood fireplace for a cosy evening, a clothes washing machine (most needed for our halfway point of holiday) and dryer, a dishwasher (made for easier cleanup), a lovely bed and a sensational view from the front entrance. We really enjoyed our stay here and made best use of all the above appliances. Great place to stay and convenient to town.

Stunning views and cosy

With underfloor heating and a fire we were always cosy. Close to Coles Bay shops, national park and jetty. Spectacular views. Great bolt hole for exploring the area.

Lovely unit, well equipped and clean with fantastic views handy to the shops . Thank you (Shame about the coles bay sewerage issues - steady trickle of it beside and in front of the unit and into the storm water drains and into the bay water! Smellie!! Maybe a heads up in case someone’s morning sick or on chemo etc ) All up a great unit - recommend highly

Calm and Serenity

The Cottage was well located with amazing views across Coles bay. There was just my partner and I so accommodation was suited to our needs. It was clean and had a small but functional kitchen. It was right in the boundary with Freycinet and the park was very accessible, cafes and restaurants were within walking distance. The location had an amazing calmness and the landscaping created privacy from the other cottages as well as attracting a number of local birds. The driveway has a large pothole which needs attention. In trying to avoid it you were sometimes redirected over a drain which is set too low. I am sure this will be amended in the future. I would have no hesitation in staying here again and can recommend for future guests.

Disappointing Experience

I was so disappointed in this experience. Overall the space was fine (best part was the view) with the exception of the twin beds - very uncomfortable and bent out of shape so that your head was lower than your body. The management company was a huge disappointment and their handling of bookings feels like a scam. I specifically booked a two bedroom unit that could sleep 4 people assuming that occupancy would be based on this fact. At the last second we had to pay an additional $120 to ensure there would be sheets on all beds. The person I spoke to was fairly rude and abrupt and had no interest in helping the situation. Honestly, this felt like a huge scam and at this price I wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay here. Plenty of other options who advertise the real price from the beginning.

We provide a guaranteed standard of quality accommodation in a region where owners are unable to self manage. It is usual practice to quote a nightly base rate for two people and then adjust the rate as the number of guests increases. The use of the property's amenities changes depending on the number of guests staying and therefore the nightly tariff is adjusted to reflect this. We understand your disappointment, it can be difficult when you make an error such as this and we are sorry that you have had this experience.
