This unit is a great place for families on a budget! It has recently been updated with our guests in mind. We strive to create a space you'll want to call your home away from home. Sleeps up to 8 people comfortably. Having instant access to the beach is another bonus of this location.

We do want to point out, while this condo is located on the beach, the balcony of your condo does have a side view of the beach.

Entire space is included in this rental including 4 pools (all outdoors), a rooftop tennis court, and during the spring and summer a poolside snack bar. Please, make yourself at home.

Upon arrival, parking passes must be purchased for $35/car cash only. This allows for up to 2 cars per unit to access our on-site covered parking.

Overall accommodations were good. Walk in shower had issues with water draining very slowly. Shower heads in both bathrooms need to be updated. Toilet in hall bathroom have issues with the water feeling back up in the tank very slowly.

The WiFi network given by the host did not exist. We tried the network/password posted in the condo. Did not work. We began sending messages within an hour of arriving and never got a response other than automated messages that in no way addressed our issue. No one answered phone calls and voicemail was full.

This was our first time staying at Sugar Beach Condo. Location is great! Pulling in and being greeted by a friendly security guard was nice. Noticed that 1 of the elevators were broken so we had to wait a bit for that. First impressions of walking to the room I was thinking what the heck did I book. The halls had a prison type vibe definitely needs some TLC mainly paint. Once we reached our room on the 1st floor - first impressions was it was nice but needs updated furniture . Pics make it look a lot bigger than what it is. We had 2 adults and 4 teens and it was enough room but I don’t think I’d add 2 more as advertised. Couple things I noticed - the ceiling fan in the living room didn’t work, some outlets need replacing. Bunkbeds should be updated and that room gets very hot so we had to go buy a fan. No door on the shared bedroom was odd and the curtain didn’t cover the door - that is what I’d fix first…after the first day we finally got settled and this ended up being a great place - 4 awesome pools never crowded, great access to the beach, safe environment/ clientele, snack bar was convenient. We would definitely stay here again . Thanks !!!!

Bunk beds

The only things that were an issue with our stay was the bunk beds were too tall that my 14 year old daughter was not able to climb up on to the top bunk. The other issue was the elevator. One was down for maintenance and the one that did work was slow and on the day we were leaving took us almost 30 minutes to catch it with enough available room for our stuff and party to get on

Great place not the best communication

The property was great, right on the beach, multiple pools and plenty of space for my family. It was clean there was sheets left in the washer and dishes in the dishwasher but no big deal still super clean. The only issue we had was communication with the host directly we didn’t receive our check in instructions until 45 minutes before check-in. We were told we would have them Thursday before we checked in on Sunday and I had to call Vrbo numerous times for this. The host sent what seemed to be automated messages when I asked about early check in or for check-in several hours later. In summary great stay lovely place but the host needs to have better communication with the guest.

Cute beach condo

Overall we enjoyed our stay. The condo was located right on the water and was very safe. My group and I (women ages 21-25) never felt scared. The one downside to our stay was the bunk room. The bunk beds are definitely not made for adults and felt very flimsy, since this listing said it fit 8 adults this was not an issue we predicted. Although this was the case we made due. I also want to point out that the bunk bedroom has a large window with no curtain so bring eye masks. The bathroom in that bedroom also has no door which we knew about before our stay by reading other reviews. Overall this condo is extremely affordable, clean, safe, and in a great location. We would definitely stay again if the bunk bedroom was updated.

Great location. Clean apartment. The kids loved the pools. Short walk to the beach. Only thing I would change is giving more toilet paper, paper towels and definitely one more garbage bag. Also seems strange to have to pay for parking. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend!

Great price, great condo inside and the pools were nice. Snack bar was convenient to pools. Beach front with rental chairs! Bunk bed room does have the master bath but i found it best for my older kids so they were not in and out!!! The other bath was great! Being on first floor is a must!!! Oh and i meet some of the best people!!

Would Stay Again!

Our host communicated with us well and promptly and he even sent a few messages before our trip to tell us about local places to eat, etc... Very thoughtful! The unit is conveniently located on the first floor, it was just as pictured except one of the sofas was missing. Not a big deal for us...we were able to seat all seven of us comfortably. The bedrooms were as pictured and comfortable but the master bedroom did not have its own bathroom. The bunk room has a bathroom attached with only a curtain for a door (we were aware of the curtain beforehand). Not a big deal for us but just wanted to mention it in case others would like to know. Overall, a beautiful, clean, updated unit on the beach. We would stay again! Thank you, Stephen!

Orange beach is great but stay somewhere else

There were several negativve issues our family had on this trip that were all related to this condo. The cleaning crew didn't finish until 4:30pm and check in is supposed to be at 4pm. We had to wait while they finished up with all our bags and our 3 year old and 7 year old who were cranky and hot from a 9 hour car ride. The air conditioning unit was completely dirty and plugged up and no air filter had ever been inserted - there were several brand new fillters sitting there but just not inserted. We all had congestion and sinus issues while staying there. The remote in the kids bedroom was broken, the chair in the main "living room" area was broken. The kitchen is tiny and only wlone person can be in there at a time. But probably the biggest offending issue was when we got home, we noticed that our 3 year old had a pretty bad rash all over her bodyy and face. The doctor confirmed that is was "hot tub foliculitis" from the kiddie pool that was properlyy maintained in terms of cleaninng and chlorine/chemical levels. Poor thing has this itching rash all over her body and the thought of the bacteria ladden kiddie pool just grosses me out. Orange beach is stunning though and we went on a dolphin cruise that was great, spent all day at Watterville USA at the waterpark that was so fun and went to Adventure Island - our kids had a blast, which is why i gave the 2nd star. We will definitely be back to Orange Beach but will absolutely never stay at Sugar Beach Condos again.

FAMILY VACATION

The condo was in a GREAT location. Access to the beach was easy, leaving the condo any time of the day was easy. The only problem I had was a curtain for a door to the bathroom in the 2nd bedroom. I LOVED the kitchen and livingroom set up; for my family it was great.

Why they chose this property

This property is an older complex but has withstood several tropical storms and hurricanes. It is very sturdy. Despite the age of the property the units have been updated and provide a great modern beach flair. The beach side pools are absolutely gorgeous. Not to mention the private beach access that allows you to get from your unit to your toes in the sand in a matter of a few minutes. We know that once you arrive you will see the hidden treasures this complex has to offer.
