This beautiful chalet-style vacation home in located in the heart of Manzanita a block and a half to the beach, four blocks from town and close to the golf course clubhouse and the kids’ playground, basketball court and tennis courts of the city park, Play Chalet gives you and your guests lots of active choices for your coastal stay. The wood-lined great room of this charming home includes a living room with woodstove and a large HDTV/DVD. The vaulted ceiling lends space and light to the dining room and breakfast bar adjoining the fully equipped kitchen. Two bedrooms, a queen and a queen suite with a HDTV and kitchenette, share space on the main floor with a handy laundry room. Upstairs in the loft you’ll find a half-bath, a queen bed and two twin beds tucked into separate alcoves under the peaked roof—a terrific hang-out for kids, thanks to the books and games stored there. Outside a furnished deck includes a propane barbecue and space to enjoy the quiet tree-lined street and ocean breezes. The perfect location for a group with wildly different aims for vacation time, Play Chalet will put you in walking distance to lots of fun activities and provide you with a comforting place to rest up after a busy day!

All cleaning policies meet or exceed CDC standards and recommendations. Our team wears new masks, gloves and shoes covers each time they enter home to prepare it for a new stay. We clean and disinfect all hard surfaces and high-touch items such as appliance handles, light switches, door knobs, remote controls, etc. We also clean and disinfect all dishes/glassware, silverware, bedding, towels and other linens as well as tubs and toilets. Meredith Lodging has added the extra measure of a pre-check-in inspection to make sure all of our cleaning and disinfecting procedures are complete and to our standard before you arrive.

Once it passes inspection, your home sits empty until you arrive for your contact-free check-in. Additionally, if your home features a private hot tub, rest assured it is disinfected, treated and cleaned thoroughly after each departure so that you and your guests can enjoy it with peace of mind during your stay.

Grateful for the nice stay

We had not been away for much since 2015 as we have horses and a small farm. We enjoyed relaxing at the Play Chalet. However our stay was cut short due to an emergency with our old horse, and had to leave in a hurry early Friday morning. We appreciated Meredith Lodging checking us out by phone call. We had to put our old horse down so that was a sad ending to our long-awaited vacation.

We love the Play Chalet!

This is our second stay at The Play Chalet and it does not disappoint. The kitchen has been remodeled and is very well appointed. The layout is perfect for couples and for families as well. The location is great - two blocks to the beach, a bit farther into town, very close to a playground. We will continue to stay at this home when we visit Manzanita!

A fun spot.

Overall we had a lovely time! Location is great, close to the beach, park and a short walk into town. We struggled to all sit together in the living room as there were not enough seats but all in all a sweet, simple place to spend a weekend. Thanks for having us!

Relaxing Walks to the Beach and Downtown

Was in Portland for a work trip but beautiful weather on the coast meant heading to the beach for a quick trip! Our group had a variety of ages (pre-teen, middle age adults, and elderly) and it was just perfect for us. Easy to walk to the beach and downtown Manzanita, enough sleeping spaces, and games galore. Thank you!
