Afordable Accommodatins in Keys

Retired couple who wanted to see the Keys for the first time. Loved the location on the canal. They had kayaks for us to use and we saw lots of manatees up close. Very clean place for two people. Cable was limited so if you are into sports or want lots of channels then this might not be the best spot for you. Plenty of shopping near by....short walk if you want. 100 miles to Key West which we visited for a day. Emilce helped us a greatdeal so you will not have any problems. Brand new grill which was top of the line. Plenty of bars and restaurants in the area. I would return to this rental

Wonderful getaway home!

This home was nestled in such a nice location in Key Largo. The canals leading to the ocean were so much fun to have right outside of our door and see manatees and schools of fish swim right up to our spot! We watched for them even from the living room, and jumped outside to see them when they came. The home was very modern and clean, and felt very spacious. The enclosed porch with the fan gave us a nice breeze each night. The home came very well equipped, MORE than we expected and was more than we needed or used. It definitely was nice to know that we didn't have to buy every single thing when we arrived and throughout our stay. We used the life jackets, snorkels, kayaks, bikes and grill numerous times! This place helped us make the most of our honeymoon in the Keys and we would definitely recommend this place to anyone and hope to return some day.

Great Value and STONE CRABS!!!

I'm a big fan of the keys and this little place was a great getaway. If you want an authentic "Florida Keys Experience" but don't want to drive forever to the lower keys, this tropical waterfront oasis is just about an hour away from Miami Beach! So if you're visiting and trying to squeeze as much value from the time you have in South Florida, why spend so much time driving when you could be fishing, swimming, snorkeling or laying on the beach? What I love about Key Largo is that it's an iconic key... second only to Key West in "keyness" but it's close enough to Miami Beach to be a "base of operations" for a South Florida vacation. About 2 hours away from Key West and an hour away from South Beach but a million miles away from the ridiculous prices of both those places. The trailer has everything anyone could want... cold air conditioning, a private dock, a great big BBQ and it seems to be brand new inside. We were also delighted to realize that within a few minutes walking and about (literally) 2 minute s drive is a fantastic farmer's market with (and I kid you not) stone crab claws as good as you can get at Joe's Stone Crab for about half the price! That plus a really cool fish monger that gets fresh fish from local fisherman and next door, a restaurant that will prepare the fish you buy (or, the fish you catch) for a small fee. There is nothing like the taste of fresh fish from the Atlantic. You owe it to yourself to try it out. There is also a shopping center with a Publix and other stores that can provide anything else you need (we needed lots of beer). The owners were very friendly and bent over backwards to make sure we had everything we needed. I can't wait to come back next year!

Cozy home right in the middle of Key Largo

Comfortable home. Liked outside seats and shade with sails. Great grill. Was disappointed in second bedroom. It can only handle one adult. Bathroom very nice. Great shower. Liked back bedroom with tv. Comfy bed.

Renovations of kitchen & bathroom R lovely. Outdoor space fantastic.

Minor suggestions for improvement: sharp knives, mattress pad/covers, new tires on adult bike (rotten tires!), front door has rotting wood & difficult to open/close. Otherwise the trailer was fantastic; loved the outdoor space, the manitee family and friendly neighbors 👍😁

IMMACULATE ACCOMM0DATIONS

We were extremely pleased how immaculate and comfortable the rental mobile home was. The home was nicely decorated in an art deco style. Being on the canal was an added feature; very relaxing and fun watching the Manatees swim up the canal seeking fresh water. The owners supplied all the equipment one might want or need to try outdoor activities; which included two bikes, two kayaks and paddles, snorkel gear and life jackets to name a few. The use of a private beach was also included. While the kitchen had all that was necessary to do our own cooking, we found our share of delectable fresh seafood at Trip Advisor recommended restaurants. We definitely would stay again, perhaps at another time of the year.

Clean property with anything you might need for a great, relaxing vacation

My husband and I found the location was good for visits to the Everglades, Key West and many activities in between. The neighbors were friendly. The house and property were comfortable, with extras like kayaks, beach towels and chairs and washing machine which made it easy for someone traveling with limited luggage space.

Enjoyed our stay

Clean, comfortable home. Nice ourdoor spaces and sunroom. It had everything we needed for a great vacation. Enjoyed the kayaks and well equipped kitchen. Short walk to a small private beach, uncrowded. sandy, with trees and picnic tables. Convenient to grocery store and restaurants. Many day trip options. It was fun watching a manatee family from the dock. One of the 2 bicycles was too small for average adult to ride, would work for kids. Cable TV was limited, got local news, some Spanish channels and a few others. Owner responded quickly to our needs.

great location

We spent the month of January in this canal front home. This was our first stay in Key Largo and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It got off to a bit of a rocky start as unknown to Emilce and Stephanie there had been a power surge, probably due to lightning, that knocked out the washer, two air conditioners, the TV and the cable box. When We called Emilce, she immediately got to work and very quickly she had all the appliances replaced while profusely apologizing for our inconvenience. I bring this incident up just to indicate how responsible and accommodating they were. No one can plan for such an event, but the response could not have been better. All of the rest of our stay was great. We used the kayaks most days to paddle in the canals with the manatees. I believe we saw manatees every day that we were there and many times they came right up to the dock in front of the house. Everything about the visit was great, but I must say the manatee sightings were the highlight. The location was very convenient. We walked to the farmers market/fish market/outdoor restaurants on a regular basis to buy produce and fresh fish and frequently to have lunch. We also were in easy walking distance of Publix and K-mart. It was a very short drive to John Pennekamp state park where we took walks, went out to a beautiful reef on a glass bottomed boat, and kayaked among mangrove lined channels. There were also several other state parks nearby where we want for pleasant nature walks. Another highlight was the nearby Florida Keys Wild Bird Rehabilitation Center Altogether this was a great place to miss winter. The description of the house on VRBO was accurate and Emilce and Stephanie were outstanding landlords.

Happy renter

We stayed over a recent weekend in October and liked this! Recently remodeled, great location in Key Largo. Direct canal access for kayaking, paddle boarding and short walk to private beach. Also, close to all Key Largo attractions and groceries.

I have lived in Miami all my life and love the outdoors and the peace and traquility that the ocean offers me. I feel fortunate to live in such a beautiful city which provides me with the opportunity to do what I love the most.

Why they chose this property

As a child we would visit the Florida Keys often and since then we have been in love with the area. There is an incomparable sense of tranquility in this part of paradise where time seems to have stood still. As you cross the stretch from the Miami mainland into the Keys you feel the tension slip away. Of all of the Keys, Key Largo is where we went most often, it is about 1 hour from Miami but a world away. We've been looking for a second home that we could enjoy with family and friends and were fortunate to have found our paradise at our Key Largo mobile home. Our children love spending time kayaking, paddle-boarding, fishing and visiting with the manatee that frequent our canal. We visit the beautiful private beach either on the kayaks and paddleboards or by taking a short walk. The water is marvelous! We have a farmers market very close by that offers delicious fresh Florida fish and fruits and vegetables. We usually barbecue but there are plenty of great restaurants that offer exquisite fresh Florida seafood and a variety of options for the entire family. The Florida Keys is about relaxing and enjoying life to the fullest!

What makes this property unique

We immediately fell in love with our home and when we saw that we had a private beach, we knew that this was going to be our place in paradise. Finding a beach in the keys is very rare and this one is just a few steps from our home. From our living room you can see the canal and keep an eye out for the neighborhood manatee. The outside porch is screened in which allows for the breeze to come in but not the mosquitos, this is one of my favorite areas of our property. We really enjoy sharing time with family and friends or reading a book and glancing at the canal and being surrounded by the peace and tranquility that we have found in our home. We are also surrounded by great friendly neighbors who made us feel right at home from the first day.
